Josephine, I too lost my uncle in November too. My uncle was very sick and suffering and thankfully found peace right before the American Thanksgiving. My family all live in Taiwan and none of my immediate family were able to return. Thankfully, I will return this spring and finally get to say my goodbyes to him. They consist of 3 notes and you can combine and layer the bottles. Right now I have my 15 ml bottle of No. 201 (green apple, lily of the valley and quince) at my bedside. It's such a nice spring freshie. I am happy that you have seen Bon Parfumeur in Paris. I don't think they are "revolutional", but the perfumes are easy going, "dumb reach", long lasting with nice projection. Adriana P.S. There's a good reason why aromatherapy exists. That perfume for me is Osmanthus by Ormonde Jayne. I happened to wear my ancient sample one day in 2021, sort of giving it another chance because before that I was a bit "meh" about it. That day I received news of a family member dying, it was totally sudden and tragic. I remember it was a sunny autumn day, and the scent just bloomed and it was like it warmed me up and brought so much comfort. I bought a full bottle within a week, it has become a staple in my collection and I don't ever want to be without it. Every time I am feeling down, I reach for it. (And funnily enough, I keep getting compliments on it, like a lot! There goes my "meh". I learned to appreciate this scent so much.) Sorry for your loss!

I'm sure that all your real followers will understand that you had other priorities in recent time - great that you're back with a video, but of cause, take all the time you need. I remember that a couple of years ago, after the funeral of a dear person - the fiancee of a good friend, who passed away in an accident - I somehow had the desire to envelope myself in a particular perfume I had a sample of, to give me comfort and also the notion something spiritual. On that same day I bought it, it gave me very much. I didn't tell this to many friends cause I feared that they could easily get it wrong and see something either trivial or morbid in it. 😳😳😳 I'm speechless right now. For the last 2 years, every time I heard the song Encore Une Fois from Sash, my mind was inexplicably drawn to an image of you dancing Josephine. You looked so happy. I couldn't help but see it and I certainly couldn't explain it, but it happened every single time and the phenomenon dissipated when the song was over. Was just saying to a friend the other day, “haven’t seen Josephine for ages” now we know why. Condolences Josephine. When my husband was in the last stages of his cancer, I would not wear any perfume as I didn’t want to associate any scent with that difficult time. Lovely to have you back. 😃🇦🇺

I've made any blind buys in 2023 and none have been a regret surprisingly. @@jusderose Oh boy where do I even start! well Babycat for one, I just recently got my hands on that stock wasn't easy to come by all the way in Australia, I've also purchased L'interdit Rouge, Pure Musc, Rouge Malachite, Alien Goddess Intense, Hibiscus Palm are some of the onesI can think off the top off my head. Truth be told, I trust your reviews, descriptions and hold them with such high regard that I trust and buy 🤭🥰 I love them all. You really know your fragrances well. I've started the year with a no buy but at my first opportunity I will continue buying anything you review and recommend checking out

I just love your content and I find you really lovely to watch, you come across warm and fuzzy and I trust your opinion because you have studied the notes and well I guess I just trust you. This year I have blind bought sooo many perfumes even ones that are not safe to blind buy such as Shalimar EDP and I I don't know what it is, I end up loving them all and then go looking for their flankers. it's crazy!

As a matter of fact, I recently discovered one of your tiktoks when you talked about Hibiscus Mahajad, made me curious and ordered a sample and it made me realize that I not only love the smell, I love it also because in the dry down it smells exactly like the hug of my mother who passed away a few years ago. 😳😳😳 I'm speechless right now. For the last 2 years, every time I heard the song Encore Une Fois from Sash, my mind was inexplicably drawn to an image of you dancing Josephine. You looked so happy. I couldn't help but see it and I certainly couldn't explain it, but it happened every single time and the phenomenon dissipated when the song was over. Thought it might've been a francophone connection or something, but this could be why? Or maybe some form of emotional connection was anchoring me to the realization? Honestly, the catharsis right now is overwhelming. Temporal loop closed I guess. My heart goes out to you. 🤍

I am so sorry for your loss. I can see the pain you are feeling, and I hope that it subsides with time and is replaced with only wonderful memories. I also agree that fragrance is such an important part of memory making in our lives. Not just perfumes, per say, but the gift we have in our sense to experience the world through scents. It leaves such an imprint in our memory that allows us to retrieve it throughout our lives. Thank you for this video.

I have some perfumes in my collection that are 30+ years old (Laura Ashley no 1, Ysatis by Givenchy, some Crabtree and Evelyn, Dune by Dior); when I smell them they bring back happy memories of certain times in my life and my late mother (Ysatis). How beautiful that scents can be so comforting……
