My total favorite color on you right now. Love the wine-red. Even for myself as a guy, By the Fireplace may be my favorite sweet fragrance, but I can only imagine how much I would like it on a girl, but haven't come across that yet. It's just incredible in the air. Depends on the mood, but that, Jazz Club, and Herod are probably my favorite sweet, woody or gourmand-leaning fragrances.
Glad that you mentioned Estee Lauder privee collectie. I've heard only once on other channel over this fragrance line (the Tender Light).

By The Fireplace uses to smell very sweet on my skin, but now the smoky burning woodiness lasts much longer. That's why I spray it just on clothes now. The sweet marshmellow smores smell comes way quicker and lasts foreeever. Very cozy.
I have been procrastinating for a while but I have finally ordered LVEB L'extrait. It's that Iris and woodiness that gets me. I also have and LOVE Gris Charnel and By the Fireplace after your recommendations. Do you know why Delina and Oud satin mood would be giving me a headache? I loved Delina but it made me feel sick and get a headache.

Yes, I see that someone already commented on Maison Margiela house 😊 I bought a warm trio from Margiela last year. There were three 10 ml perfumes of By the Fireplace, Jazz Club, and Whispers in the Library ( which reminds me of Byredo Bibliotheque). And yes, the Matcha Meditation + its older version Tea Escape are also wonderful tea fragrances, suitable for rainy weather.
I think I forgot to mention under your Niche fall fragrances that Carner Barcelona Rima XI. is also fine for this weather - at least for me.

As far as I know usually Josephine picks only the best with the most beautiful dry down, sometimes with the best longevity & projection also ( but these are not necessary ) from each line(s) from every brand.

Hi Josephine! My first impression of Babycat was that it was a slap of suede, an animalistic note I’m not used to. As it dried down it got better. Does it evolve in your skin as well? What should be expected of this scent? Thank you!
Woah! It does evolve yes. I wouldn’t give an expectation on the scent as we each have different experiences with scent. If that’s what you smell and you don’t like it, there are lots of other scents to choose from! That’s the beauty of perfume 😊

I finally got a sample of Babycat. Unfortunately it is giving me the same opening gasoline smell as Lune Feline, only even stronger. I have no idea what ingredient or ingredient combo is causing that but super bummed since I was really excited by your description.
I just wanted to also say your recs are usually bang on for me. LOVE Gris Charnel, Levant, Scherzo, etc... I really appreciate your fragrance recommendations. I rarely buy anything you have not given a thumbs up to.
It’s not for everyone that’s for sure!
It’s totally fine to enjoy different things. I love vanillas that are heavy and complex (lune feline, babycat, Babylon…) and they’re not going to be for everyone. On the softer side, you should try: the world according to Arthur, vanilla oudgasm and then there’s another one that I’ll talk about soon (probably the best smelling soft vanilla that I’ve tried!) when the launch happens. Stay tuned!
