OMG FINALLY! a perfume content creator who not only has incredible taste, but pronounces the names of the perfumes/houses correctly! Instant follow 💛✨️
Yes, because she went to school for perfumery. There are only 2 official ones in the world, both in France. You must be fluent in French to attend (reading, writing and speaking, not just one or two of them). So of course she will pronounce everything impeccably. If you’re new to her channel, then you wouldn’t know this….. so there you go. 💕
Girl, this list is fire! It is so damn refreshing to see a list that isn’t comprised of one sugary sweet vanilla gourmand bomb after another. I’m way too old for that silliness. I love Papier from Diptyque. I really need to get a full bottle.
Just getting in to watching fragrance content and I’m finding that sugary gourmands are routinely panned and mocked as only being appropriate for young girls. I’m 43 and sweet gourmands have always been my preference. I didn’t know that there were age ranges attached to certain notes.
@@thereadingsylphoh this one just reminded me of the guy at sephora two days ago that kept commenting negatively about the perfumes I liked. He had some good points, truth be told but I just cannot stand someone who gets joy and pride out of criticising other people’s tastes
Neroli Oranger is on my wishlist. It is one of the best, most elegant, classy neroli fragrances I have ever smelled. I can imagine Princess Catherine wearing it. I also think that M. Micalef Royal Muska is one of the best musky perfumes. It truly feels royal. Not very sweet, a bit of peach and overall magnificent.
So good to see you back, Ms. Josephine! I know things have been emotionally tough for the last few months. Sending you positive vibes and hugs! You mean the world to so many!🤗🤗🤗🤗
Infusion d'Iris by Prada and Santal Dansha by Armani Prive are my current top two everyday/signature scents. Other favourites are L'eau Papier and Orpheon by Diptyque and Jazz Club in the winter
@@tolikfox007yes I have been having trouble with sandalwood lately. I thought I was going crazy smelling pickles. I think my sense of smell has been damaged from Covid? I don’t know, but can no longer wear it. It used to smell good to me.
Levant, for everyday wear and when I want to feel pretty. Scherzo, for when I want to feel beautiful and sexy. They're both winners. I also enjoy and get compliments when I wear L'Imperatrice.
How did I not know about you? I’m 72 and desperately trying to learn more about fragrance and the buzz words that describe them. I’m new to all this but definitely don’t like what I hear is called Gourmand fragrances. I love Rose and white florals and I’m so excited to have discovered your channel! This is a complicated subject with a lot of nuances to describe fragrances and I’m here for it. I can’t wait to learn more. ❤
We are pretty well the same age and your message sounds like mine! I feel childish & unsophisticated compared to these perfumes mentioned. They all sound terribly complicated and not scents I’d be interested in. There is some chemical in the very high end perfumes that gives me migraines to the point of vomiting. Now here’s where I will sound like a poor little country peasant girl. Muguet or Lily if the Valley has been my favourite scent ever since I was a teenager in the 60’s. I also love lilac.I can’t seem to find these clear, fresh scents anymore. By the time I was 21, jasmine by Le Galione (not sure of spelling). In my late 20’s to mid 30’s I wore just the original Chanel 5. When Elizabeth Arden introduced Red Door, that was my signature scent for several years & used to receive many compliments. In 1986 I became ill with a very painful autoimmune disease (I now have at least 4-5 autoimmune diseases and have been mostly bedridden this past year. During my bad flare up periods of disease I turned to The Body Shop for uncomplicated, clean fragrances but they would always discontinue them soon after I fell in love with one. The last 2 14:22 I loved were Amazonian Lily & Vanilla. Surprising, men, even strangers, went crazy over that simple scent! My theory is that it reminds them of watching their moms bake cookies in the kitchen. But my all time favourite scent to where is Lily of the Valley, Muguet. So, once again this spring my hunt is on for a really nice Muguet. I doubt if I will be around much longer in this world & it would be nice to find this scent that I have loved for about 60 years! If you can recommend one I would be most grateful. Your French is so beautiful to listen to. Quebec French is a bit different but I still love them both! I also agree about the green blouse! Beautiful! So glad I found your site! Best wishes!
I could never get tired of le labo's Another 13, absolutely love it. The clean girl aesthetic is my vibe, being in healthcare. Also enjoy Fleur Narcotique, Amouge Overture woman, Rania j musc muschos, Misenzir Tres chere, Initio musk therapy, Creed Aventus for her, chanel chance eau tendre, Byredo's Mojave ghost and Nishane's Wulong cha. Discovered many of these from watching your channel, you are so appreciated lady J ❤️ 😊
I want to get my nose on Levant. In 2023 I added my first Ormonde Jayne fragrance to my collection that I absolutely love- Tsarina Intensivo. It’s a beautiful & elegant powdery suede iris perfume on a woody and vanilla base. While it is quite opulent, it’s still a frequent & easy reach for me because 1) I’m 65 and so everyday is an occasion, 2) I live rurally & rarely go out to fancy places so I wear what I want in my daily life.😢 Other frequent reaches lately are -Chanel No 19 Poudre -Loukhoum Poudree & Loukhoum Parfum Du Soir (Keiko Mecheri) -Gentle Fluidity Gold (MFK) -Tempo (Diptyque) -Rouge Rose (Van Cleef & Arpels) -1000 (Jean Patou) -Encre Noire A L’Extreme (Lalique) -Mon Guerlain OG & the Intense.
It’s already hot where I am so I’ve been rocking Levant, Soleil Vibrant, and Blanche Bete. Blanche Bete is easily my favorite perfume discovery of the last year, thanks to your channel! So beautiful and interesting, and lasts FOREVER especially on clothes. Love the scent journey over time, as the incense slowly fades and the florals become more pronounced. All my favorite scents I’ve found through you, thank you for all your work Josephine!!
I find Glossier you interesting because of how different it is for everyone. On my skin its like fresh green flower stems and grassy, but also sweet musk.
I never heard anyone love Santal Calling and it makes me feel so happy that finally someone mention to this perfume today. I have it almost 2 years in my collection and this is one of my favorite Exnihilo.😊
I keep my “signatures” all together too so if I can’t decide, I can always reach for one of these. I have more lol, but these are the ones that came to mind: Dior New Look 1947 Chloe Nomade Absolu Room 1015 Sonic Flower Dusita Fleur de Lalita Ormande Jayne Woman Chanel No 5 Eau Premiere Houbligant Quelques Fleurs YSL Elle NR Musc Noir! SL Chergui
I love so many of these! Again, so glad there are others who prefer Musc Noir to Musc Noir Rose! Also, Sheep’s Clothing by Henry Rose is a clean alternative to Glossier You if anyone is looking. Excellent choices! Enjoy your day! Oh, Prada Infusion d’Iris Cedre is one of my signatures - smells like the most luxurious bar of soap imaginable, and always works!
My everyday scent is YSL Libre edp, and I also have the Intense as well as the Platine version, which I prefer in the evening. My husband loves Santal Calling and surprisingly, Devotion D&G.
L’eau Papier sounds phenomenal. Been looking for an understated fresh & clean easy reach scent for when I don’t feel like being heavily perfumed. Thanks for mentioning this one. Not a lot of others are talking about it. Just ordered a sample!
For summer I love Figuier Eden by Armani Privé, and Bronze Goddess by E. Lauder. For colder days, Insolence by Guerlain, La Pantère by Cartier, L’interdit EDP by Givenchy, Tuberose Angelica by J. Malone. Spring: Gabrielle by Chanel, Sweet William by Carner Barcelona, Pink Roses by Mancera, Nectarine Honey Blossom by J.Malone. For the gym and 🧘🏻♀️: L’Eau Reveé d’Alma by Sisley. Thanks for your work. Love from Spain 🌹
My all-year fragrances are Musk Therapy, Parade and Nuda Veritas. Camelia K or Musc K could also be considered everyday scents. For work I also like Commodity Rain, Nectar (similar to Neroli Oranger).
Can you please make a video talking about perfumes suitable for people like me who "can't" really wear perfume at work? (I work with children)? 😊 it would be really helpful to me♡
I feel your pain, I used to be an elementary school teacher and the kids have very sensitive noses (they hate Chanel 😅). I would under spray when going to work. Favorites for school included: Sunny Side Up by JHAG, Gypsy Water by Byredo, and English Pear & Freesia by Jo Malone.
So glad you commented on the longevity of the Glossier. Recently purchased and although I love the fragrance it may as well be a body spray. So disappointing- will check out your alternative recommendation 😊
love Sherzo, got a group compliment this week. one woman asked what I was wearing, then another woman chimed in, @I was going to ask you too, you smell great!"
J'adore L'or...is signature scent worthy.❤ I picture an elegant woman shopping at Neiman Marcus, wearing this😊 I had to wear it on my skin, to fall in love with the intoxicating scent. It is beautiful.
Yes! I love love you by glossier, I’m 4 bottle in and the formulation feels the same! My other go-to is musc noir *rose* by narciso rodriguez- I’ve been chased with this one! So pretty. I’ve been in love with spring time in a part by replica for the spring/ I layer it with Vanilla 28 by kayali and it’s a dream! Love to see you back UA-cam 💞🎀
Yesss! I totally agree Musc Noir is by far better than Musc Noir Rose! It is so sweet, strong and syrupy (a bit nauseating to me) and I cannot understand the hype around it😏My 3 favorite for everyday: Versace Crystal Noir, Oud Satin Mood (body oil) and Nishane Ani extrait..so good!✌🏾
Hello 👋 Josephine. I love your green blouse, you look amazing.👍 I would love to try, Ormonde Jayne Levant, Parfums de Marly Delina La rose🌹etc, Thank you, nice job 😃
Hi Justine🌸 Last night I sprayed L’ eau Papier before bed and I woke up and could still smell it🤍 Lately I’ve been wearing Diptqyue Eau Duelle edp, Flowerbomb, Black Opium Le’ parfum, Parfums de Marly Altïer, Prada edp , Le vie est Belle Iris Absolu, Narciso Musc noir rose💜 I’m a moody girl lately😻
Glad to see you’re back. The musk category is bang on, I love all three! I never really liked the Glossier You samples with the orders, then I watched your videos and decided to give it a go in the shop, wow! The roller version smells different on me, it’s more musky, the bottle on me smells more sweet powdery musk. I love the Diptype L’eau Papier! Loving Phlur Missing Person. Been meaning to get the Delina La Rosée, and get my nose on Levant. I was at Selfridges and trying the new Phlur, next to it was Harry Style’s Pleasing Closeness - I sniffed and it is a slightly more expensive dupe of Glossier You. I didn’t try cos I have 3 samples on me and been sniffing for 30 mins, so can’t report on longevity.
Dear Josephine, you are my absolutely perfume Goddess!! I adored every single video of yours. Deeply respect to your knowledge and passion for perfumes. Thank you for all honest recommendations and advices. Please, keep going.
Finally! Someone is mentioning Solar Blossom! I sniffed some Mizensirs at the store a while ago and that was the only one I remember really liking. It seems to be hard to find and no one ever mentions it. I would love to try it out and see how it works on my chemistry.
Narciso Rodriguez (pink bottle). Nomade. I'm in love for delina la roseé. C'ant forget light blue. And miss so, so, so, so muuuccchhh Emporio Armani Remix, belo perfum. Never find another similar to Remix 😢😢😢😢😢
Don't apologize for having such a huge perfumes collection : it's amazing and if we are all listening to you is because we all love perfumes and dream to have our dream collection :D and we all love you !! By the way, for daily use I love wearing in winter : Angel's share, lucky charm, MMW Givenchy or Escapade gourmande, for spring : Damask, Dark Purple, Dama Koupa or A coeur perdu d'Orsay and in summer : Fiero casamorati, Marseille CDG or Cedro di diamante and so on :D
Great video! Favorite everyday fragrances at the moment: Narciso EDP Reminiscence Patchouli Blanc - proving to be a nice substitute for the abovementioned discontinued Narciso Diptyque Tam Dao EDP - fuller and softer than the EDT Clinique Aromatics in White - office-friendly rose-patchouli
I bought a few samples from Miller Harris so i could try Scherzo, that you and so many other have talked about. It was pretty surprising because I did not like at all, and i love rose scents... It just feels to me like it's an old lady scent :( but in the same samples I fell in love with Tea Tonique, which is completely different from any other perfume I wear, but I am now obsessed with it, so smokey, creamy and citrus! I got a big bottle now so it can be my new signature scent, at least for spring -summer
Thank you so much for inadvertently reminding me to go out of my way and try Scherzo. Your description was sensational and it sounds like something I'm lacking in my collection. I just cannot settle of my signature 'rose oud' as there are so many of a similar ilk out there to choose from. It's a case of 'I'll know it when I smell it'. Could this be the one? I'm excited to try it. Thank you!!
I just got the new Donna Born in Roma Green Stravaganza. It is so nice for everyday wear. It is a sweet candied fruity fragrance with a subtle tea note. I know it’s not niche. But it’s super pretty for spring and summer!
Fav everyday are : Nuit de Cellophane by Serge Lutens, Do Son and Ofresia by Dyptique, and The Noir by Lelabo. I like an eerie mysterious and sophisticated scent. nothing overpowering.
Great video, so happy to see you back!❤ At the height of summer here in Sydney I was really enjoying Thé Matcha for day time wear, sunset hour for evening wear and Levant (which I bought thanks to your code!) for date nights or occasional wear. Loved all of them! As the nights get cooler here in the southern hemisphere I’m loving my Chloe Nomade and Santal Dan Sha again
Love Diptyque's L'eau Papier! I've only tried the EDT form, so I wonder what the EDP is like... Adore your perfume recommendations as always ❤ You are what made me ask for L'Orchestre's Piano Santal as my 30th birthday gift; so perfect and special! I didn't even try it... I just knew it would be great 😊
OMG, thank you so much for introducing me Levant. It became my favorite everyday scent and i get lots of compliments! It is so unique, fresh and very sophysticated! One of the rare perfumes that got me from the first second, it blew my mind! Delina Rose is amazing but it reminds me a lot on Chloe the original, and i got bored of chloe since veryone was wearing it 😖
I recently discovered Musc Noir and that's a bottle I will finish up quickly - total love at first sniff! I blind bought the new one, Musc Nude, and it's absolutely gorgeous as well. Thanks for this list! You have lovely taste and make me want to try all of your faves :)
I haven’t heard or experienced anything different about the Glossier’s You but they have made a bigger bottle. I am on my second bottle since I heard about it from your video.
Yes , give me Musc Noir❤ anyday over Musc Noir Rose....great choices as always...not a fan of Delina Rosee, I prefer Meliora but always a pleasure watching what you choose❤
For the past 6 months my every day fragrance has been Chanel’s Mademoiselle. I’m still testing the waters with perfume, feeling more and more inspired after seeing your content, but I’m still a little afraid of niche fragrances… 😂 I need to train my nose, I have tried Frederic Malle’s Carnal Flowers, Musc Ravageur and Portrait of a Lady, and to me they are all super sexy, date night scents 🫣 For day to day I’d rather go for something easier and fresher, especially on summer… Anyway, still on the journey to find my signature scent. Thanks for sharing your knowledge, Josephine! ❤
Lovely video, thank you. I've been trying many, many samples of late and have fallen in love with PDM Meliora...alas...the projection and longevity is poor to mediocre, so I'm desperate to find something similar. Would you say Hibiscus Mahajád compares? Thank you so much!
I looove your suggestions so much, added a few to my wishlist 💘 I just ordered L’eau Papier and can’t wait for it to arrive 😍 My current everyday favourites are Hindu Kush by Mancera Parfums & Island Lush Sandalwood by Goldfield & Banks. I also really love Velvet Chocolate by Theodoros Kalotinis, doesn’t have the best longevity but it’s sooo delicious 😋
i like wearing poivre samarcande for discreet & grounding occasions - it’s my scent of choice when on a detox or yoga retreats for example, & just a tiny litle spritz is enough. for daily anytime & anywhere, faves include la peau nue, violette volynka, poudre de riz (pierre guillaume), cologne blanche & gris dior, l’orphéline (serge lutens) and musc noir, pure musc & for her forever. these are the totally office friendly scents that also work for weekends. for something more interesting yet not distracting i also rotate regularly nightclubbing (celine), diptyque’s fleur de peau, twilly, 1932, and dior addict edp. if it’s super hot i’ll either go for eau de campagne by sisley or chanel’s cristalle eau verte. my most recent post-shower bedtime scent is eau extraordinaire by clarins & for long commutes on trains or flights i like sylvaine delacourte’s dovana 💗
I sped through my first bottle of Glossier You, loved it so much! Then I bought a replacement, and the packaging was different and it definitely smells slightly different. It has the same base, but is maybe a bit more pink pepper forward on the opening. I wonder if they did this to make the scent seem a little stronger? I don’t find myself reaching for it all now that it smells different. Still good, but not as good or the same as it used to be.
Bossa by the brazilian brand Granado is my current easy reach. When it gets cooler, I’ve been wearing Penhaligon’s Babylon. I don’t know what it is, but I always get a lot of compliments with tonka dominant scents… ❤
Thank you for your video and list. I love my Miller Harris Scherzo. I am saving my Ormonde Jayne Ta’if since it was a pricey buy for me but I love it so much. So sophisticated. 😊 Oh and on rotation is Narciso Rodriguez EDP.
I’ll be so curious as to how you will rate the new BDK against the Diptyque La Papier. They are close. I don’t have either but I’ve sampled both and am debating between the two.
Excellent video! I love the way you describe perfumes, so glad I found your channel🥰 I also love white floral and musky perfumes so I will have a look at your recommendations 🤍
What are your favorite every day fragrances?
Salt Air by Skylar
Musc Moschus by Rania J! 💖
Glossier You, Bal de afrique, You or Someone Like You, Misia, Ghost of Tom, New Look
Glossier You and Liis Bo are my two year round favorites!

Hello 👋 Josephine. I love your green blouse, you look amazing.👍 I would love to try, Ormonde Jayne Levant, Parfums de Marly Delina La rose🌹etc, Thank you, nice job 😃
L'Eau Papier is so atmospheric 🤍🤍🤍 wonderful lineup!
My easy reach daytime scent has been Infusion d'iris by Prada 🥰
LOVE infusion d’iris. Have you tried luxury from Mizensir? Very similar but with better lasting power 😊
@@jusderose Hi, yes, I have tried it - similar indeed, but Luxury felt more sparkly, more airy 🤍
Hi Justine🌸 Last night I sprayed L’ eau Papier before bed and I woke up and could still smell it🤍
Lately I’ve been wearing Diptqyue Eau Duelle edp, Flowerbomb, Black Opium Le’ parfum, Parfums de Marly Altïer, Prada edp , Le vie est Belle Iris Absolu, Narciso Musc noir rose💜
I’m a moody girl lately😻
You’re very kind, thank you Adriana ❤️
Finally! Someone is mentioning Solar Blossom! I sniffed some Mizensirs at the store a while ago and that was the only one I remember really liking. It seems to be hard to find and no one ever mentions it. I would love to try it out and see how it works on my chemistry.
My every day scent is L’Imperatrice :-) . Thank you for video .
Eau de Merville by Hermes is my go to. Love it
This was my signature scent almost 20 years ago. ❤
Orchidee vanille by Van Cleef & Arpel, Peregrina by Thameen, Sois malaquais by DVN, Minuit et Demi by Fragrance du Bois, Woman by Ormonde Jayne
😍😍😍
So happy to see you back to yourself. Looking gorgeous and vibrant, Josephine!
Love your selection 😍
I’ve been loving spring tide by ALT … and also honey suckle oil from Carter and Jane LOVE LOVE LOVE
My top 3 intoxicated white floral is Narcotic by Natsomatto ,Levant and Honor by Amouage
Iris Malikhan by Crivelli, Cheeky Smile and Carioca Heart by Jusbox, Valaya and Radical Rose by Matiere Premiere
Great video!
Favorite everyday fragrances at the moment:
Narciso EDP
Reminiscence Patchouli Blanc - proving to be a nice substitute for the abovementioned discontinued Narciso
Diptyque Tam Dao EDP - fuller and softer than the EDT
Clinique Aromatics in White - office-friendly rose-patchouli
Have you tried Van Cleef Neroli amara? Many say that it's similar to Levant
Great video, so happy to see you back!❤
At the height of summer here in Sydney I was really enjoying Thé Matcha for day time wear, sunset hour for evening wear and Levant (which I bought thanks to your code!) for date nights or occasional wear.
Delina Rose is amazing but it reminds me a lot on Chloe the original, and i got bored of chloe since veryone was wearing it 😖
Thanks JUS . I love musky & White Flowers Perfumes.
I recently discovered Musc Noir and that's a bottle I will finish up quickly - total love at first sniff! I blind bought the new one, Musc Nude, and it's absolutely gorgeous as well. Thanks for this list! You have lovely taste and make me want to try all of your faves :)
Lately, I've been loving Tubereuse Absolue (EDP) By Perris Monte Carlo, Luxuria by Memoize and Très Chère by Mizensir!
I haven’t heard or experienced anything different about the Glossier’s You but they have made a bigger bottle. I am on my second bottle since I heard about it from your video.
Haha no way!
L'Eau Papier is my favourite fragrance. It’s such a simple, yet unique scent.
I love l’eau papier too!!! It’s the rice note that gets me 😊
My favorite fragrance is Bulgari Rose Goldea Blossom Delight EDP
Just found the channel last night and I am loving it. Such a refreshing take on things and yes the pronunciation is so good..
Fantastic list. ❤️ My recent favorites for every day are: Bois Datchaï by Maison Crivelli, Mistpouffer by Stora Skuggan, Orphéon by Diptyque.
josephine, how do you find the lasting power / silage of l'eau papier? i liked it but i was concerned about that :')
Lovely video, thank you. I've been trying many, many samples of late and have fallen in love with PDM Meliora...alas...the projection and longevity is poor to mediocre, so I'm desperate to find something similar. Would you say Hibiscus Mahajád compares? Thank you so much!
I would love to hear your thoughts on the new Narciso fragrance Musc Nude
I tried it, I prefer Musc Nude than Musc Noir for longevity reasons. Would love Josephine’s take on it..
I’ll do a review soon ❤️
Please suggest me perfume that must be floral, sweet type Decent fragrance for my Mom.
Hello , regarding glossier ,,,definitely feel as if it has changed, was disappointed in the longevity. Love from sunny Florida USA ☀️❤️
Such a beautiful list. A few old friends and a few new acquaintances. I must try Solar Blossom.
That’s what I heard too… give Ella K Musc K a try. Good longevity on that one
Bossa by the brazilian brand Granado is my current easy reach. When it gets cooler, I’ve been wearing Penhaligon’s Babylon. I don’t know what it is, but I always get a lot of compliments with tonka dominant scents… ❤
I was just at Granado today and bought a bottle of Bossa! I probably will only wear on the weekends, not at the office.
Thank you for your video and list. I love my Miller Harris Scherzo. I am saving my Ormonde Jayne Ta’if since it was a pricey buy for me but I love it so much. So sophisticated. 😊 Oh and on rotation is Narciso Rodriguez EDP.
Capeline was the first expensive fragrance I fell in love with after first spray❤ would totally buy it if it just stuck on my skin😢
I'm loving your selections of everyday perfumes! I see several on your list that are my favourites!
I like Kilian’s Love, don’t be shy and i would like to try Byredo’s Sundaze because i love cotton candy sweet scents.
I bought scherzo based on your review and you're spot on Josephine! Hello from Malaysia 👋🏻
I LOVE the smell of Delina la Rosee. Sad that I can't afford it but I may look into dupes.
For me it will always be Versace Brigt Crystal Absolu 😊
Chanel n. 19 poudre edp with iris
I own 7/10 fragrances and I absolutely love them. Levant and La Rosee is soo close to my heart. I get teary eyes when I talk about them.♥️
If you like L'Eau Papier, but want something (much) more affordable, try the Musk fragrance from Bath and Body Works.
🎉🎉Happy birthday John! Thanks for great musical moments!❤❤
Thank you so much for this video! Any recommendation on where we can get these perfumes online at a good deal? Thanks! ❤
I’ll be so curious as to how you will rate the new BDK against the Diptyque La Papier. They are close. I don’t have either but I’ve sampled both and am debating between the two.
❤so happy to have just stumbled across your channel 💐
Excellent video! I love the way you describe perfumes, so glad I found your channel🥰 I also love white floral and musky perfumes so I will have a look at your recommendations 🤍
Thanks for your interesting video😊.
I really love Chanels Gabrielle Essence, Acqua di Parmas magnolia and peonia nobile.
Best wishes 🌻
Infusion of Iris of Prada
