Hello Toast. Im one of those new warcry player. I got Heart of Ghur just a couple of days ago. And still in the process of building and learning. I wish you listed the names of the units presented/talked about as I know nothing as of now (you did some, but not all). Thanks for the tips! This is info that I have been looking for.
I’m sorry, I should have done a better job there. I will absolutely consider this for future videos because clarity for new players is super important. Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for this, it's helping inform me as I am building up a few extra Warbands and Terrain sets to help build interest and show people how to play at my FLGS. Been a big fan of this game ever since I started about four months back, I wish I found your videos sooner. Cheers
Love it! Also a new player in the last month or so. Painting up Darkoath Savagers just now as I picked up the Red Harvest set. Great fun game to get into.
Recently I've started playing Warcry, having played AoS for a while making compendium armies is lots of fun.... suddenly my Stormcast get to play games again! Vindictors and Annihilators may be slow, but they rule!
I started colleting Nighthaunt with the Underworlds Wielder of the Blade and his gang, banshees and glaivewraith stalkers. My bro got a box of Skinks. Then we got the AoS small starter set of Vindicators and Gutrippas. Finally my bro got Stormcast Castigators + the Shadeborn for third warband and I got Hexbane and CoS Command Corps for my third warband.
Thank you Toast, for being a GREAT ambassador of this AWESOME game! Personally, I'd've put Horns of Hashut ahead of Chaos Legionnaires because their look even cooler, they're bespoke, their chaff is better, and they have FLAMETHROWERS!!! They're tournament competitive with a single box and a terror with two flamers (which I plan to have using a single box simply by converting/kitbashing one of their "meh" mid-range fighters into a second flame hurler)
Really nice to see Ossiarch on here. Looking to grab a box of Mortek Guard and add in some friends from Velmorn to see how it goes because it looks simple, tanky and fun.
Great recommends! I would add Gorgers though. 5 tough guys so quick to play. They only really have 1 ability worth using. They dont ever need a second box. And Allies just for treasure missions. + Most importantly - they kill lots of opponent fighters wich new players will love (even if they loose on points or some such detail).
Is there a way to make a simple beginner Gravelords list? Considering how easy it is to get a hold of proxy miniatures for vampires and skeletons it might be a great intro into Warcry.
Not massively experience with Gravelords, but a box of grave guard/skeletons/both would be excellent as a start. From there, pick up something with a bit of punch and you are probably good to go. Grave Guard and skeletons are very points effective, so you have a lot of play with how you build them.
I'm very new to warhammer, i love the lore ( fantasy and 40k) but i never collect figures . I felt in love with orruks kruleboyz so I buy some miniatures to start my warband.
Seraphon for me are fun as fuck. I take Kroxigors and while they are a trap, I roll well so hahaa Tearing bite rips through so many units. Then again im playing with other noobs who roll horrible

Happy to help! And it’s good to see people enjoying and trying to grow the hobby. It’s a game well worth the attention :)

I LOVE Red Harvest and Dark Oath are super snazzy to play :D
Was thinking about Kruelboyz as my next warband but the Bonereapers look great. The worst thing about WarCry is how many warbands look fun.
Darkoath I've had my eye on got such a long time. Such cool models and I like their thematic.
There’s certainly a lot to pick from XD
DO are swanky as all heck

Stormcast are awesome. Super elite, but super Smashy

That’s a sexy line up of dudes!

Horns are wild and I love them. Worthy pick for sure
Thanks for this! Great video as always!
A beginner list without the Stormcast :O
Keeping people on their toes! SCE are great though :)

Velmorn is a great addition to OBR
Yay! I have two of them: Iron Golems and Untamed Beasts and the later are even painted! 🥳
Two excellent warbands for sure!
I started with Kruelboyz and Stormcast. They were my “Dominion Warbands” as the box is quite cheap now.
It’s a great start! You get near enough their entire collection in a single box. It’s really solid
Nice input for new players, more Warcry videos please!
More are on the way!

Gorgers are an awesome pick for sure! Love those guys
@@wargamesontoast Easy to use and feels like they won even when they loose!
Maybe you should do ones that aren't going to be discontinued
Deffo worth redoing this video
Another helpful vid, many thanks
Glad I could help!
Great vid! Just starting myself with SBGL. Do you by chance know a discord for TTS games etc?
I do! discord.gg/apJF8agZ
Welcome to the club :)

Kruleboyz are one of my favourite factions too! I love their visual design
Great video for newbies!🎉
Happy to help!
Just picked up heart of ghur - fingers crossed!
Excellent set! I didn’t put Rotmire on this list, but they are also a great warband!
