No balloons have been released into the air during making of this video actually. Single balloon was kept on the string so it could be brought back every time they shot the scene. And the bunch of balloons were cgi-ed into the video. ^_^

As others have commented, this is a song for ARMY. If you didn't see the teaser which came out before the music video, Suga was reading a paper which announced the end of COVID in 2022. A separate article said that the end would be announced with purple balloons. (Purple is the color of ARMY/BTS --and on social media one member (V) comforted a fan writing that he dreamed about a purple balloon in her room.). That's why they used purple balloons in this video. (I saw some rancor from environmentalists.)
It's okay if you didn't like the song or understand all this. This song was explicitly for fans -- to cheer people up and help us through these times. They made the choreography easy enough for anyone to do. BTS' fandom is all over the world, people of all races and creeds, so they chose an English song, a diverse cast and even included sign language. In the outtakes at the end. the production crew, the stylists, the staff, even their CEO danced.

They kept the choreography simpler than their others so that people could follow along and dance.

  • @reneezemlock7880

At the end... that's their entire crew behind them (including their CEO and label president) and it's the raw audio so you're hearing the wind. The large amount of balloons at the end were CGI... I'm pretty sure. Also... they were using international sign language in the choreo for "have fun", "dance" and "peace". They purposefully made the choreo super easy and repetitive so people could learn it and dance along.

The signs that they are doing are:
**Hands alt ⬆️⬇️ on chest with thumbs up= joyful/happy
**✌downwards towards palm and swing wrist back and forth=💃🕺dancing 💃
    **✌upward = peace
    **walking fingers up arm=walk
**✌touch index finger to outer eye with middle finger pointing out.(not down like posing for pictures) Then pull from eye towards who you are looking 👀=
    I see you/I'm watching you
These are the ones sign language signs i saw immediately. I have some hearing loss and learned when I was young so I am glad to see BTS do something like this 💜
    Thanks for your review 🤗💜

This is a catchy song (it grew on me), and I love the use of sign language incorporated into the choreography. The dancing at the end was BTS dancing with their staff. I think they’re having a lot of fun with their retro pop English songs (if you enjoy those then try Dynamite too). But it’s not indicative of most of their songs. I’d try the music videos for Fake Love, ON Kinetic Manifesto, or Black Swan (English subtitles needed for all of them). Thank you for your reaction!

Those dance moves that you were repeating are sign language for the hearing impaired. They included dance and feeling good. This is intended for Western audiences so not as complex as most of the songs that they have a hand in writing or producing themselves. As was mentioned last time, please listen to them live in order to properly evalate their voices. The Tiny Desk Concert is a great place to start or their recent Japanese song "Film Out" . They also covered Coldplay's "Fix You" live for MTV. If you do decide to watch some more MV then a few things to know, as long as you play the Big Hit intro you won't get a strike, BTS is multi-genre, and the MV is rarely over when you think. There are also some phenomenal solo performances out there as well.

This song was co-written by Ed Sheeran and was gifted to BTS some time ago - he said he was really happy with what they and the other musicians/producers/composers did to get to the final product. This is one of only 3 purely english songs in their discography (not including a couple of songs they did in collaboration with other artists on the other artists's albums) all of which were meant to just bring pure joy in this dang pandemic era of the world. Most of their songs aren't quite as bright, and are a mix of hip hop, rap, r&b, etc. and typically have very deep or otherwise meaningful lyrics and instrumentation elements to add character or represent the dynamics expressed in the lyrics. In one of the solo songs, SHADOW, the member performing the song reflects back to where he started and the ambitions and goals he had back then... in the composition of the song, the sound of some of the samples are actually reversed, much like looking backwards in time, and when the imagery and lyrics switch to the "present" day him, the instrumentation switches back forward facing. There is another solo called LIE in which the member singing talks about darkness of deception and such, and the composition of the song is in a minor key except in the part of the chorus where he sings "caught in a lie" when it switches to major (or vice versa - I'd have to go listen to remember but it is either major and switches to minor or minor and switches to major - sorry it is late when I am typing this LOL). I just remember being struck by how creative that was in reflecting some of the angst of the song and even noticed when some classically trained musicians reacted to the song they picked up on that very thing as being reflective of the "lie" in the lyrics. Anyway sorry for the ramble. Thanks for reacting.

There are often several versions of the Official" music video.
The "Ioniq: I'm On It" is a promotional song for Hyundai. But you barely notice the car because the mv & song are so good; similar style as "Film Out"
"Come Back Home" was released on July 4, 2017 as remake of Seo Taiji’s song "Come Back Home" for Seo Taiji 25th Anniversary Remake Project.
“With Seoul” is a BTS song and film highlighting Seoul as a vacation spot. The original also shows them recording it. They have also done 3 other versions, including a “short” on 2020-09-11; a beautiful drone visual of Seoul (The Four Seasons of Seoul” on 2019-12-30, & an amazing drone visual mv on 2021-01-09.
My personal favorite "other version" video is "DANGER (Mo-Blue-Mix) , featuring THANH". Thanh is an Australian-Vietnamese singer. This song has a R&B vibe with some great lyrics added by Thanh.
There are loads of their other songs including some of my favorites: “Dionysus”, “Ma City”, “Truth Untold”, ”Outro: Tear”, “House of Cards”, “Lost”, “Dimple”, “Butterfly”, etc. and their solo, rapline, vocal line, short films, comeback trailers, etc. not included.

I really recommend you listen to Black swan by them!
I watched your last BTS Butter reaction too, so I wanted to give you a member voice breakdown like you asked but didnt see anyone who did!
Kim Namjoon/ RM - Leader, rapper: He has a very deep voice, as you noticed in the last video he has a hiphop style. He was actually an underground rapper in Koreas hiphop scene before he became the first member of BTS (debuting 2013) Hes the only member who speaks english, and has a lot of responsibility in looking after the group as leader(2:13)
Kim Seokjin/ Jin - Eldest, Vocalist: He has a very versatile voice, able to go very high but is best known for belting and having a very strong voice even in falsetto (1:42)
Min Yoongi/ Suga - Rapper: Suga was also an underground rapper in the hiphop scene and sings less often than even RM, this songs a nice treat to hear his vocals! He has a deep raspy voice and is very creative w it in rap (2:25)
Jeong Hoseok/ J-Hope - Rapper, Dance leader, Sub-vocalist: J-Hope was a street dancer who won national competetions before joining the group where he learnt to rap from RM and Suga, hes also a sub vocalist and is often included in background vocals, as well as having a melodic rap style. If you think this dance was impressive you should see what else J-Hope can do (2:20)
Park Jimin/Jimin - Vocalist, Dancer: Jimin is known for his unique toned and incredibly high voice. He has a beautiful falsetto. He is also an incredible dancer, with a background in contemporary rather than street like J-Hope (1:33 3:44)
Kim Taehyung/ V - Vocalist, dancer: V is a baritone vocalist, with a very deep and soulful tone. He also has the widest range, and easily keep up with his tenor bandmates and hit beautiful and impressive high notes (3:53)
Jeon Junkook/ Jungkook - Main vocalist, dancer, Sub rapper, youngest: Jungkook is the main vocalist, known for having a very stable voice even during hard choreography, and often does ad libs and harmonies during live performances. In BTS's earlier music he rapped very often, but now mostly sings despite his skill with it. (1:15)

I'm loving the cowboy/country style they have going on and I'm also giving props to the stylist noonas for styling them this way and also props o to the people in the MV as you could see they were clearly havin fun.
I'm loving the beat and the line " I don't need permission to dance" will be stuck in my head for ever and always now, also it's such and iconic line and is up there with " Get it, Let it roll".
I'm also loving the beat of the music as it'd so happy and upbeat and really summery, it also makes me wanna smile just seeing them have fun.
The choreo is so groovy and makes me wanna dance and I just wanna groove with it also as there isn't really that much choreo it's really easy to dance too.
I love their MV as it shows the boys having fun with eachother and other people also the vocals are as amazing as ever, I especially love yoongis vocals as he really can sing, and it makes me wanna sing along.
It all being English aswell also makes it their 3rd all English song and this one is just as catch as Dynamite and Butter.
Also I love the message behind the song ad it basically says no matter what or where you are if you here music you love just dance along to it as you don't need permission to dance and have fun.
Us armys are getting so spoilt on our birthday and o just love the guys so much and you can clearly see how much they love us back k by just seeing how hard they work and how they care about us.
You'll never get another band like BTS who love their fans so much and who works so hard for them. Thankyou BTS for a wonderful birthday present.

I just saw your BTS Butter reaction and you asked about their individual voices, so here I will recommend you a couple solo tracks of each member, you can listen to them if you want to get to know them individually (only if you want to, of course, please don't feel any pressure, just do what you want):
    * I will add some descriptions so you can pick whatever track you're most interested in.
~ Rappers (they're the main lyricists of BTS Korean songs, so these are some each one of them wrote):
    1) RM:
    - "Intro Persona": It's a pop-rock-rap song that gives closure to his identity crisis, the dilema between his private and public personas.
    ua-cam.com/video/M9Uy0opVF3s/v-deo.html
    - "Seoul" (produced by the duo HONNE): It's a song describing his contradictory and bittersweet feelings towards the city of Seoul, where he has his main residence. It's very chill, like a song to listen while driving.
    ua-cam.com/video/F8wI5ZosdRA/v-deo.html
    - "Moonchild": It's an alternative hip-hop track? (I'm not sure how to describe the music genre...) Anyways, it's a song for those who are struggling, for those who have inner demons, for those who find comfort in the night-time and who hide their scars.
    ua-cam.com/video/G9ntaxClfrA/v-deo.html
    2) SUGA:
    - "Interlude Shadow", it's a hip-hop track about the inner fight between ones ego and ones shadow (things that we repress of deny about ourselves). There's a personalisation of these two parts of the psyche and they have a dialogue/fight on the track. Suga speaks about being haunted with a bottomless greed/ambition and how fame brought social anxiety and an overwhelming fear that he was not prepared for. (The album version has an additional verse, but the MV has English subtitles in CC.)
    ua-cam.com/video/PV1gCvzpSy0/v-deo.html
    - "Daechwita": it's a hip-hop track that incorporates Korean traditional music in the production. It's a bragging song, I suppose... Within it, Agust D (Suga's alter-ego) reminds himself that he must kill his old self in order to not become arrogant or tyrannical, in order to keep his feet on the ground and remain humble/grateful.
    ua-cam.com/video/qGjAWJ2zWWI/v-deo.html
    3) J HOPE:
    - "Daydream", it's a song that sounds deceitfully upbeat, but speaks about some of his vulnerabilities. The type of fame he has, as a pop mainstream star, limits his freedom. His job and passion for music also demands most of his time and energy... This is why, having daydreams or fantasies about the normal life that you can not experience anymore can be a soothing coping mechanism or maybe an avoidance mechanism. He is very self-aware though.
    ua-cam.com/video/OK3GJ0WIQ8s/v-deo.html
    - "Blue Side": It's a song with a dreamy sound and abstract lyrics that transmits a sense of nostalgia... I don't want to impose my own personal interpretation, so I'll leave it like that.
    ua-cam.com/video/X89hgmc5Jjc/v-deo.html
    ~ Vocalists:
    4) JIN:
    - "Epiphany", it's a power ballad/soft rock ballad about loving yourself, and accepting yourself with all your flaws and imperfections. An anthem of self-love.
    ua-cam.com/video/fIkZOLsnoqY/v-deo.html
    - "Abyss": It's a short song he wrote with another composer, during quarantine, when he was going through a period of self-doubt, dealing with his insecurities, trying to regain courage. It sort of carries the aura of a Disney song, one of those the hero sings when they need to discovers who they are, like Mulan's "Reflection" or Hercules's "I can go the distance"... I personally think Jin's voice always has this aura.
    ua-cam.com/video/GrlkcQgcGkM/v-deo.html
    5) JIMIN:
    - "Lie", it's a song about self-deception, about lying to yourself, being trapped in your own distorted image of yourself. The instrumentals are very cool, kinda spooky. You can find a lyric video. (Jimin is main songwriter of Lie.)
    ua-cam.com/video/ppq0da4w9rc/v-deo.html
    - "Serendipity": R&B love song... It's written by RM, sounds like a poem. It showcases different colors of Jimin's delicate, light, bright vocal timber.
    Full lengh version:
    ua-cam.com/video/DeioXzrnn2E/v-deo.html
    6) V:
    - "Singularity", it's an neo soul song, it's about someone who lost themselves by trying to become what another person wanted. I was going to recommend one of the tracks written by V, but this is one shows his vocal timber very well. (RM wrote Singularity too, by the way. It fits V like a globe.)
    ua-cam.com/video/p8npDG2ulKQ/v-deo.html
    - "Snow Flower": Song written by V, featuring his musician friend Peakboy. Released as a gift for fans during Christmas.
    ua-cam.com/video/73yPTAfuxVA/v-deo.html
    7) JUNGKOOK:
    - "Euphoria": It's a pop-edm track about infatuation/falling in love, and finding your joy in that love. This song fits Jungkook style and taste, that's why I chose this one.
    ua-cam.com/video/EV3fjhw07d4/v-deo.html
I personally prefer the piano version though:
    ua-cam.com/video/oUqX55Oim68/v-deo.html
    - "Still With You": It's a jazzy-R&B song he wrote during quarantine, inspired about wanting to be reunited with fans/missing performing in front of a live audience. It's written like a love song, a song about longing, feeling trapped and desperate... Jungkook is a hopeless romantic at heart, so he usually ends up writting about interpersonal relationships lol

**If you want to react to them as a group again, I recommend the medley of songs they performed during their last anniversary as a group, they performed 1 min of one song of each one of their studio Korean albums: "BTS Room 2021" (the video has subtitles too):

its ok if its not your taste.. this is actually a gift for their fans 8th year birthday thats why they release this on July 9 which exactly the date of their fandom birthday (July 9, 2013) and they include International Sign Language in their choreography and WHO appreciate this song and thank them for including ISL as 1.5 billion people in the world are affected by hearing loss and sign language can help them to continue enjoying music which can bring joy to life".
BTS music always have good intention and deeper meaning even the DYNAMITE, BUTTER and PERMISSION TO DANCE.. if you're interested you can check out Booktheories channel explanation and breakdown of their songs for deeper understanding💜
