I remember I used to own this game back in middle school and I absolutely love the living hell out of this game because I always play this game once every day and that's how much fun and gorgeous this rail shooter is. Working Designs really stand out with its packaging because the case cover and the manual was very labyrinth and beautiful. To this day I still regret and haunted selling this beautiful game and that huge mistake. On the bright side I very lucky to find the Japanese version of this game and playing the game brought me back absolute memories. I still wanted to find the US version but the price is skyrocketing for no reason but getting the Japanese version is much more affordable and easier to get
Following your walkthrough I managed to complete this game for the first time using no continues and only upgrading after Act 5 before the finale. Much appreciate this upload!!
Game Summary: Two races known Audo (royal militant) and Sulunka (fallen arcane caste) are at war with another. Sugikus are born from their interbreed. Story focus Audo Sugiku Prince BelCain creating a MassNeuronNetwork comprise of human brains to coordinate most affairs in the kingdom. The combined conciousness within the MNN regret their existence of destroying countless populace in their duty of governance. It seeks to destroy itself by re-animating potential hosts while granting them the HolyGuns to destroy the MNN itself with highest probability (perhaps it cannot compute certain self-termination without the Empire intervene in its destruction by asserting emergency repair). The re animated sisters known as Nell and Seanna, became one with the elements to destroy the Audo autocracy.
Nice clear---definitely a curious title that I managed to completely miss out on back in the day despite even the infamy of Working Designs it would seem.
It is the first time that I consider myself in a Shooter game where if I am really the good or the bad guy in the story, and to tell the truth, with all the lore analyzed, I think I am the bad guy, interesting coming from games like The House of the Dead, Death Crimson OX, Carnevil, Time Crisis, and more, where we are the good guys. Good change.
I love this game, I never was able to beat it due to not having a light gun ever for the PS1, and even so I doubt I would have as cool as this. Still, after all the great stuff it is missing the extra Animation Cutscene where Tagami as she is watching the ruins after her hundred years of cryostasis picks up Bel Cain's amulet/ Pendant as it is described in her last note at the end of the credits.
Alfa System, same people behind the Castle of Shikigami series and Project Horned Owl on PlayStation. Speaking of that, Project Horned Owl is more of a spiritual successor to the Steel Gunner series by Namco.
This is new! Great 1CC! Never knew in the past score attack competitions were the craze before racing time attacks took over now these days in the present...
@@Smraedis Will you do a halloween arcade replay someday? I managed to do a 1CC with Follett and Rosa recently, thanks to your 24H1CC marathon campaign you did a few years back. I'll have to get to doing Windia's and maybe Casper's then onto Mega Black Label with Sakura sometime in the future.
I've been waiting for this for a while now. I loved this game back then even when I couldn't beat it but seeing others do it is nice. Wish this got ported to recent consoles, my guncon is collecting dust.
Good shooting gameplay. Going to use some your strategy when I get the guts to bump up difficulty. Only the past few months I just discover this game. I really wanted to play using guncon1 on real hardware. I end up buying the Japanese version since you know the english version is expensive.
Ive loved all the games you've done. But is there any chance you could show us how to play these games? If you use a light gun controler ect. Don't mean to sound rude if someones asked this question before c:

I was looking for this game for years and finally found what it was called again... I remember renting it from blockbuster

Yeah it is a bit difficult, leveling up as much as possible makes it far more manageable though
Using a HDTV, I could never use my GunCon with it unfortunately. I need to get a CRT just for games like this. It's very hard with a controller!

I dropped the combo way too many times from those enemies, completely not worth trying to shoot them at all!
