For me personally, music always reminds me of moments throughout my life. Memories brought back instantly as the first notes play. Fond times, rough patches, and loss. Music carries everything life brings. Sometimes it's all that's left of certain things, feelings, or people. They may not be here anymore, but the songs that carry their memory will persist. Thank you for making videos, and sharing your thoughts on specific topics. I genuinely appreciate having such caring and important ideas to watch/listen to and think about myself. ✌️
Your videos good sir are some of the best video essay work I've seen on this platform with the quality of the greatest legends in video essay history; Lemino, Jacob Gellar, Super Eyepatch Wolf, and Wendigoon. You deserve admiration and praise like the great people you teach us about. I hope you are able to achieve the heights that your peers have.
Just started watching your vids, and I've come to the conclusion that you're my new favorite "comfort creator" like one has comfort characters. Between the editing, music selection, writing, and subject matter (ranging from video games to history and such), your videos have been a joy to watch! Keep up the great work
Beautiful video essay. As a musician and writer who has no idea if they're gonna make it or not, you really made me feel seen. The subject matter of this video is so interesting and you talk about it so well. I'm glad I was finally able to sit down to watch it, unfortunately your videos are too good to just listen to in the background. Thank you so much for making this.
What a fucking good vídeo, dude you are one of the most talented people I've seen in a LONG time, because you produce what matters, what can change people, and what you love, keep it up pls
i finally got a chance to watch :) i wanted to share my thoughts here! first of all, your story telling is so beautiful in this. during the titanic segment, it was interesting that i found myself pondering my own classical musicianship. it made me ask myself "would i have the selflessness to continue to play until my own demise?" it made me realize how selfish and competitive the classical music world has gotten, and im grateful for this perspective! also, the shawshank segment reminded me that just recently, for the first time in recorded history, an orchestra visited a prison in ohio to perform a concert for the prisoners. i can't imagine the mental liberation it brought to those inmates. there's so much to process about the musicians of wwii concentration camps. i'm curious how music is being used as both a weapon and/or a lifeline in the world conflicts happening today. it's always so interesting how emotionally attached we are to music- and that isn't something exclusive to the western world nor any single demographic- yet it is seldom discussed in history and current affairs. again, incredible work, im proud of you! ❤
One of the biggest reasons I wanted to make a discord server where I could send out announcements. It’s incredibly frustrating how broken the UA-cam notification system is.
What are some other moments where music has been the only thing left?
