Gaijin has added another funky German prototype tank to War Thunder with the Zerstorer 45. It is somewhat similar to the Kugelblitz, being based on the Panzer 4, but has no armor and four 30mm cannons instead of two. It's great at shredding both CAS and tanks, so it was a lot of fun for me.

The problem with this vehicle is, it means destroyer 45 so it cracks everything
Fun fact the picture in the beginning of the video is actually a test dummy that you can visit in a tank museum in the Netherlands

"the squeaking noise comes from the long-barreled Panzer IV's tendency to overload it's front end while steering. I've also noticed this exact thing in IL-2 Tank Crew. The Finnish even noted that the Panzer IV Js they got tended to make their brake drums glow hot red in summer on road marches just from this strain alone"

Talking about CAS being annoying, some guy rushed a cap in the fox, spawned in a strike master, survived all game in the strike master, got over 10 kills

It was a previous battlepass vehicle.
Its a jet at 6.7 that can get like 100 rockets and handles half decently for a jet.
Which something Gajin could do, but they would never do. Though it would be to make a new BR range for ground.
It’s just degenerate when people rush caps just to spawn a plane. They only do it to make up for their skill issue in tanks.
Bro just wants to play an attacker in a mode where he can actually do something instead of being easy targets for fighters in Air Battles

Attempt number 26(?) at getting Spookston to play any tank with a dozer blade, the catch is that he has to dig in before engaging targets. Movement around the map is allowed, but he has to dig in again before reengaging.

Gaijin: german spaa 30mm full AP belts are overpowered, lets take them away and uptier the vehicles
Also gaijin: Lets make a german spaa that has double the 30mm guns, give it full AP belts and put it at a lower BR.
It's simple: Whatever Gaijin says or does, it bears no meaning 2-3 years later.
Not gonna add XYZ? Gets added 3 years later anyway.
Make some changes to a vehicle? Add another years later that doesn't follow the rules.
My favourite:
They make T-34 driver hatch a weakspot, then 4 years later they change it back based on some bug report.
They have honestly no clue what is going on in with their own game.

@@aaronfalcon3152 for conventional shells probably, but t34 drivers hatch has blocked 105 HEATFS on several occasions, and the mantlet has absorbed so many 90mm shells its not even funny
spookston and his anti everything aa vehicles also i think either the m2a2 or cromwell 1 would be cool at some point
Cromwells and Comets are underrated gems. They're medium tanks that play a lot like light tanks because they're fast, have decent armor pen, and practically no armor. I do wish they properly fixed the Comet's APDS because historically, it's powerful enough to punch through the UFP of a Panther.
Honestly its kind of ironic since this thing is called the "destroyer 45"(translated) and has an "ambush" camo . . .
Germany and Russia get tech trees filled with mildly OP flak vehicles, while the US suffers with the M42 from 4.3 up until 7.7.
if gaijoob programmed it properly itd be fine. (and if they added some of the other cool american AA platforms that exist.... i mean hell you go from 2 50s to a cannon and 2 50s to 4 50s, gaijin doesnt know how to AA... and russia is just OP in general because russian company
the guns fire as a duplex auto system, the first gun firing leads into the second gun firing in a 12 12 12 12 cadence... but gayjoob somehow has the guns reload separately as well as fire separately, leading to its guns getting desynced and just not working properly.
well aa is kind off a dogsh!t role to play spawning planes to do the anti cas is way more fun and the us has plenty of those also all us tanks have a 50 cal on top that is arguably more effective than the m42
@@Cakerdom but isn't viable option at 5.7 and higher. Only too cocky germans thinking that americans don't have proper AA can become a victim to to .50 if american get lucky enough....regarding to what misserable fraction of damage .50 has now

Same story with Japanese SPAA getting 20mm APDS while you have to unlock a slightly more armored Marder again, just to have APDS instead of APCR.

9:00 remember that you can research "airstrike" with tanks that can spot and if someone kill target scouted by you he has big SP discount for planes, and maybe he hit someone with his MG's, it also gives SP
Dude you don't even need scouting to get this kind of bullshit done. A single assist is often enough to spawn in a plane with bombs, especially in uptiers. You don't need to use a light tank or have scouting. You could do it in a heavy tank. As it is right now, planes are beyond easy to spawn in.
Game's a bit Plane To Win.

I would be more worried about it, if German mains at that BR weren’t as blind and def as they are. But honestly, their tanks having a little bump is the only thing keeping that BR floating for Germany.
That thing can get mged tho. Other than the kugelblitz. Also it has less rounds per gun. (Shorter firing time before reloading)
But you gotta remember, the Zerstörer looks goofy as fuck

Id love to have something between 4.3 and 7.7 as well but im curious: are there any real US designs that they could add but havent? Obv they havent been too opposed to fill gaps with... dubious vehicles before but im just curious
you guys had two of them, both with dual 40mm, and both got downtiered to absurd levels because USA mains cant aim

@@LoneWolf-kw3oltbf, the M19 and M42 are high skill caps to get planes back in the day (since the 40mms didn't alternate). I could see them going back up over time

M-18 has the spotting mechanic and also the modification that lowers plane spawn points when your scouted target dies, so mystery solved of the 1 assist plane with bombes
Turning M18 from Tank Destroyer to Light Tank was one of the worst idea Gaijin has ever come up with.

Day 41 You should play a tank with hydropneumatic suspension (recommend the MBT-70) But the catch is you have to drop the suspension as low as it can go for the whole match.

Spookston, you should totally play the STB-1/2 (I don't remember what they named it anymore). It's like a Leopard 1 but the armor can actually bounce some APHE rounds, and it gets the funny suspension. It also gets a dual-plane stabilizer, so that's pretty nice.
That occasional smoke alarm noise is driving me nuts lol

The most funniest thing was the fact that after this video was made, I came across 6 these in one match and not a single one of them was able to get a kill, and most of my team was in open-top or SPAA in general

Spookston, the cure for what ales you is called AEC MkII and its a WW2 fox (i think you already know that) its one of my favourite vehicles and id say is more fun than the Boarhound purely because it has better acceleration

Tenth time challenging Spookston to bring the Char 25t into an 8.3 lineup and then incrementally increase the BR to find when the tank becomes unironically unplayable
From experience the default belt can shred a bulldog frontal so I imagine the AP does aswell
For someone who doesn’t game very often. I sometimes struggle to spawn a plane or die < 100 points off it.
Fun fact about the AU-1, it almost doubles as a fighter so the SP can be relatively low, HOWEVER, the average SP for that is 422 I think. Despite this, the best load out is a custom load out with 2 1000kgs and 1 2000kg and the rest rockets for open tops.
Any AU-1 player with common sense would at the very minimum try to get 640 or so to get 3 bombs or the bomb and rocket load out at 690. Single 2000kg is about 50 sp so 490, so it’s painfully easy to get, not worth it though as it’s a one trick pony and only used if you REALLY want to spawn in an AU-1 today.
