These axles are incredibly well made and include everything you need to do a complete axle swap on your TRX4M Bronco or Defender. Btw what wheels and tires do u use on your gladiator? Also what shocks? I'm trying to upgrade my gladiator and the first things a want to upgrade is the wheels, tires and shocks
You could set your throttle and reverse back and just swap the motor wires around , stay safe mate 🇬🇧

I paid $180 twice I have two pairs of there at portal axles for scx24 and I put them in every find I possibly can and cannot break them they are amazing they are the best on the market
I believe they make the best products when it comes to several things I haven't tested all their stuff but man their axles are amazing

Nice man! Think axles are solid looking. Can’t wait to see your videos on what your fix is for cons now. Having similar issues with my K5. Can’t find that happy medium between front lifting and overall ride height.

First step is to start getting videos out. I started one in February. But I’m mostly on tiktok/Instagram since it works better vs UA-cam shorts.
A set of hardpark 1.0 wheels should help you tuck those portals into the wheels.

I'm a big fan of portals, most times I sacrifice performance on the technical climbs with the increased COG. On my trail trucks portals rule.

Got mine installed under my orange defender. I like them over all, but one thing i have noticed it a lot of torque lift of the passanger front when i throttle it hard
Got mine on Monday, but one of the front Outer portal covers for the short shaft is machined completely through. No lip to hold the bearing. Waiting on the seller and Treal to replace the cover. 6:43
I actually love the width. What size hex did they come with and can you put a wider hex?
Those axles are crazy wide! That's a deal breaker for me. Hopefully another manufacturer can come up with a portal kit that maintains the stock axle width.

I Thought About This Too. But If They Made Short Dedicated Portals You Really Wouldn't Gain Ground Clearance From Your Diff Because The Portal Adaptors Would Be So Close To Center. It Would Effectively Made It An Expensive Lift Kit. The Wider Stance Also Helps A Little With Making It Top Heavy. If They Made Stubby Portals It would Still Be An Effect Lift Kit As It Would Keep Your Driveshaft Angles From Being So Extreme.

Could you try straight links? The trx4m skid is weird and limits how low you can go before the binding issue with high clearance links.
But I think with the portal axles increased underbody clearance their isn’t really a need for the bent links.
The axel width would look great on the Furitek Beetle Comp chassis with 60-63mm tires. Great video, been great watching the evolution of the channel...🤙

With bigger 1.2 sized wheels with more positive offset. Does that make any sense? Kinda like the CR-18P EVO Pro

Would a lower offset (not deep dish) wheel fit ? Or would it hit portal housings
Wow that cost is more than the truck cost, what will you do to keep it from flipping over backwards, seems you fix one thing and it screws up something else. Great videos keep up the good work!
I ended up using the treal brass steering link and diff covers because the red didn't fit my color scheme
With the Holmes hobbies motor you can switch the wires instead of on the radio and that should bring the lighting kit back to normal

I think it might look good with the bigger 1.2 wheels with a more positive offset. Kinda like the CR-18P EVO Pro
I’m a little late to the party regarding the portal axles, have you thought about maybe having the spare tire & wheel on the hood for extra weight, and maybe a brass front bumper. What do you think?
I luv the clip less body mounts but I'd it up for reg adjustable body post being not able to adjust body height is frustrating 🙃

Have you tried a Transverse servo mount on one of these TRX4m’s? Just saw one on Amazon
hows does yours climb being so heavy? lol.. I took all the brass off mine n just swap out different rims and weighted wheel hex now. I mainly run my tyrx4m on trails, all the weight killed the hill climbin.. when ever i get portals, probably gunna go with an aluminum kit..

i unpluged my motor and switched the order of the wires that plug in the ESC and that changed the rotation of the motor without changing the transmitter direction

Please show these axles with wheels that dont have as prominent of a negative offset to see if it still looks ridiculously wide
I ended up getting the treal 1.0 crawler wheels because the offset brings the wheels inward a little

Crazy. On Hell's Gate it looks like torque twist is completely eliminated? What would you say? Also, you've gotta get the new INJORA bumper set for the Bronco. It's awesome.
Portal axles kind of help with reducing torque twist.
On the trx4m would you recommend injoras shock mounts with multiple positions or a carbon frame with multiple shock locations. I'm looking for what would perform best for crawling and keeping a stock body. Thanks so much.
I prefer the chassis swap myself. The cost difference between the two isn't huge and the chassis gives you much more options for customization.
One thing to note about these axles is that they’re incredibly waterproof. I completely submerge them and absolutely no water gets in the axles or portal boxes. I’m not even running o rings on the shafts.
will the injora lay down servo mount work for these?
Did you have any problems mounting the servo cause the treal come with a servo mount or did you use the injora servo mount and any problems?
Curious about diff gears. Diff cover is compatible with others. What about internal gears. Can you put in injora over drive/ under drive helical gears in?
Yes! I put the Injora underdrive gears in without any issue
Yo Adam! Question: When you installed these, did it make your rig go backwards, the 1st go around? I stalled the MEUS version on my TRX4M K10 & made mine go backwards for some resson....trying to figure it out. 🤔🤨
Yes it did. The gears in the portals reverse throttle direction. Flip your motor wires around and it will fix it

What servo do you run on Creamsicle?
Look I bought spare front axles and spare rear axles I have tried to break them on my scx24 you can't I haven't been able to and I put mine in horrible spots horrible and what school is the scx24 portal gear fit2 trx4 M portal years so you could run over drive or under Drive in both of the rigs with the same gears
Dude, Adam, looove the portal axles on creamsicle… im gonna do a pair of meus on my new bronco and hope i get the clearance u got…. Did u ever figure out how to switch the light kit around after the throttle switch
To reverse the lights/throttle, I switched wires on the motor connection. Works perfect!

Its Hard To Tell In Video But Are The Portal Gears 1:1? Treal Sells Over Drive Portal Gears But I Want To Confirm Its OD From 1:1 And Not OD From An Already Gear Reduction In The Portal Gears They Come With. Also Does Anyone Know If Traxxas Diff Gears Work In These Housings?
Is it possible to build a scx 24 from ground up without the actual car or are there some pieces that are not available separately? With furitek electronics and aftermarket parts for example.
I am waiting all the parts to do this with thr injora buggy body/chassis and every upgrade part no standard scx24 parts at all, every single part is available aftermarket., even using the servo, esc/reciever and controller from an fcx24. Not even sure if I can technically it an scx24 when it's done. Not cheap at £250, but id be putting all these upgrades on any way so technically saving £150 by not buying thr base truck.

I wish treal sold complete fcx portals for that! I refuse to pay 50 bucks for a bare housing.
What about reversing the motor wires instead of reversing it on the controller?

how do you deal with tire scrub?
Either stock, injora or Holmes motors, I just reversed the motor plug in the esc... works normal

you may have to run two different sets of wheels brass on the front and aluminum or steel on the back
Or at least some brass rings in the wheels up front
@@CapeCrawlers for sure but if thats not enough i thin id consider two diff wheel sets you can even get the same design more than likely through treal or something or even through mofo wheels i bet he could make a matching set where the fron it brass but the rear isnt

They're flex extensions from Adaptive Designs.
Yea far to wide, they should have shortened the round axle section to compensate for the portal width. Think I’ll hold off on these, bummer cause I wanted some portals on the Trx4m

try the treal scx24 portals
Remove rear brass and replace with aluminum to help get bias
I literally only run the outside portal cover cuz it how heavy they are

You need to reverse the wires on the motor then everything works as it should.
I didn't even think of that! And the Holmes Hobbies motors has the wires separated, so it should be super simple.

The Injora shocks fixed the torque twist for me. I dont think the axles alone would have done it.

Saw a opening and review of trx4m compared to the defender version, guy showed that from stock this bronco is 50/50 on weight distribution so it’s something you did
I haven’t done anything except wheels and tires and these axles. The carbon chassis shouldn’t shift things around that much I can’t imagine
