4:25 As a woman from Poland, I feel uneasy when I see your surprised American faces and only one person who knows anything about communists tells you such basic information as... that in a communist country you have no right to property. Everything belongs to the government if the government expresses such a will - including your life and your will. Any opposition ends in a death sentence at best, communist labor camps or prisons don`t respect any human rights. You belong to politicians/elites and you have to obey them. That is why their propaganda doesn`t know the word no. You are just a number, a tool for work, you are not allowed to express individuality because it simply cannot exist in that world. Why? Because it is a sign of freedom, and no communist has this right - you belong to the government. What you see in these "games" is government communist propaganda, financed by them for a reason. The people who work for them are certainly aware of this, it isn`t without reason that they pretend to hate the government when they reach out to politicians for money. The only solution is to prohibit the spread of communism and nazism, democracy should take care of its security and not allow extreme, deadly views, to spread without any restrictions among the society that craves tyrannical rule.

I do have some insight into this, most government bodies in the west such as the EU are happy to fund arts based projects which have a community or public engagement style of inclination. They're not interested in say, funding the next quake 3 arena, but they are (were) interested in funding games that highlight sociological or historical subjects. What you need to know is that it's not ALL propaganda. Some people in government may be happy to pump money into a project that's pro feminist, LGBTQIA+ or whatever it is and all that stuff. But in general, they think they're getting an easy win by helping creative and talented people get their game off the ground aslong as it holds some kind of significance to the sociological climate. As an example, some project I know about were story based games that go through the motions of someone with dementia trying to remember their past. The key points in this were highlighting dementia and it was a female lead. Others have involved raising awareness of potential environmental issues to do with flooding and such. The research is all there but the conclusions are quite thin. But it was just enough to justify such a project.
The same can be said of corporations who fund "artistic endeavours" or "community media". It's not the stuff that highlights members of the community who are artists, engineers, entrepreneurs, etc. that is the issue, but DEFINITELY the intersection of so-called "art" (that's just political posturing) and unemployed, fake "activists" looking for a handout (or in some cases, black mailing people into giving them money). 10 years ago, most "artists" were only known for their artistic works - these days, you know FAR too much about people.
Then you'd have Fed Goons all over you trying to sue you for misappropriation. Look to the private sector for funding. No one funds woke games, no one funds based games. But people will fund fun games.
No matter what time or place in history we are in, we seem to be doomed to repeat the past mistakes. But it makes more sense now why so many people are so crazy loyal to the government.
You are only doomed to repeat the mistakes of the past because there is a constant effort to "reframe the past", changing who the heroes and villains of every story should be, based on what is acceptable at any point in time. Or, on the other side of that, you have individuals who want to "reset" your past so that it can fit into whatever narrative they need it to be to create political or financial gain from, claiming to be "finding the truth", but in actual fact, just making sure his or her PREFERRED individuals are given prominence, while sabotaging the historical figures that any of their political rivals might claim as their own. It's so obvious, and yet so few seem to notice it.
The levels of control achievable with tech now is unprecedented. It will be repeated in its own way and the outcome the same for the masses who will have little choice in the matter of its fall.

This reminds me of Christian Nintendo games in the 80s and 90s. Honestly I know more people who were made to play those games as kids who saw how bad the propaganda was and walked away from religion because of it. This game company is going to make people embarrassed to be woke, so I think it is a win.
And stuff like this is exactly why Nintendo pried Christianity in particular and religion in general off of the official licensed portion of the NES, to avert trouble and controversy entirely so everyone would focus on playing games instead of slinging mud, holding back Devil World entirely and papering over all the Christian references in Famicom-era Zelda that were probably there for cultural reasons of cool stuff in Western movies rather than because Miyamoto was some kind of Mega Christian, Konami's Castlevania got off easy because they made it absolutely clear in those games that it's based on the movies instead of real Christianity or the historical Count Vlad III.

Hey there, yes it does raise red flags. If you were paying attention for the last few years, you'd notice that the entities that use that word unironically, are the ones spreading lies and distorting truth. Who mostly uses those relatively new phrases? Is it news people on programs sponsored by Pfizer?
One thing about this topic. I don't like this myself just for your information. However, propaganda is a necessary tool for all governments to get something done. Its much easier to do that than lets say using force to get things done. Or alternatively just give up on some important policy because its not popular. My issue with this is what they want to promote using propaganda and perhaps the way they have been incresingly doing this.
"Who would want a park just for cats?" Cat owners, for one. Those who think it's unfair that dogs get their own park and not cats. Those who have a cat as a personal therapy animal, and need a place to relax away from other animals or people. Need we go on?

It's not the stuff that highlights members of the community who are artists, engineers, entrepreneurs, etc. that is the issue, but DEFINITELY the intersection of so-called "art" (that's just political posturing) and unemployed, fake "activists" looking for a handout (or in some cases, black mailing people into giving them money). 10 years ago, most "artists" were only known for their artistic works - these days, you know FAR too much about people.
This and Dustborn are propaganda that The Party agrees with.
@finfrog3237 I'm fully aware lol
I would just lie, and make a based game with a grant.
Then you'd have Fed Goons all over you trying to sue you for misappropriation.
Look to the private sector for funding. No one funds woke games, no one funds based games. But people will fund fun games.
No one will trust videogames. It'll be like we're all criminals or lying cheats😔
No matter what time or place in history we are in, we seem to be doomed to repeat the past mistakes.
But it makes more sense now why so many people are so crazy loyal to the government.
80-year cycle (by which time grandparents are dead)
They really showing their true evil form now like Dustborn 🤣 Representation of evil personalities
$275,000?!?!?! Okay, how long this game to develop and whats a cat park?!? And this was $275,000 to make?!? For a browser?!? And thats the……… this is stupid. Plain most stupidest misused of tax payers money…… I can’t take this level of stupidity…
Catch up, guys. DIGRA were putting the wheels in motion for this back during GamerGate
the gulag archipelago should be mandatory reading in America
Why is disminformation is a thing for activists when the correct word is misinformation? Am I missing something? 🤔
Disinformation was originally a KGB term for operations against the west. They view anything that contradicts them as a counter operation by their emenies.
No it is flat out lies
Misinformation is info that's wrong but is said to be true. Disinformation is info that's true that they don't want you to know.

What’s wrong with building a park for cats anyway?

Yeah my grandmother’s family owned a plantation in Cuba. Just from posting this comment you understand what ended up happening. She got married, came to America on her Honeymoon and never went back. I could be riding horses right now ):
Wanted to give this game a chance before I watched this clip because anything with cats in it gives me pause for consideration. Immediately the game forces you to pair up with someone to shut down the cat park. 😮
Fascinating. Going to do a streaming playthrough of Dustborn just to see it in all its glory, might have to add Cat Park to the list now!
The more I see of Dustborn the more I want to award it best unintentional comedy of the year

I think that this Cat Park game will turn out to be a golem that lashes out against its creator. People *should* be taught to be on the lookout for "emotive language" and other deceptive and manipulative tactics used by journalists.

The cat park is the government, or the internet? Weird. Also you said cognitive dissonance where it says cognitive resistance, idk lol does the word disinformation just immediately raise red flags... I don't think it's alarming. Somewhat dorky, sure
Countries creating discourse that end up being a topic in videos like this distracting you from the real issues. Looks like they are winning.
yes, because this is the only content anyone saw today.

...Wait, which party's government funded this?
"Who would want a park just for cats?"
Cat owners, for one. Those who think it's unfair that dogs get their own park and not cats. Those who have a cat as a personal therapy animal, and need a place to relax away from other animals or people. Need we go on?
"Those who think it's unfair that dogs get their own park and not cats." That sounds like the type of thing that ONLY a First World citizen would be complaining about.
@@sigmacademy Yes...yes it does. However, complaining and spreading disinformation about a project for a cat park sounds like the type of thing that ONLY a First World citizen would be doing too...🤔

@@pmc2999 "Be quiet, human. Cats can't decide things. Only people who hate the idea of a park for cats can decide things by knowingly spreading disinformation about said park for cats, you deranged bigot!"
LOL. STEAM is STEM with the Arts inserted. Yet again they can be nothing but Tourists. (Note I think STEM is not useful and just a marketing concept. It's Art people seeing how other fields make LOTS more money and therefore are marketing it to children similar to the giant push for "College = success".)
Mis and disinformation is a thing. Kids trusting influencers is a thing. The people behind these propaganda games say the same thing. So the underlying question is where the middle ground is. Its so tiresome to hear ppl parrot government talking points without scrutiny.
