Most 80's bands these days sound like covers of themselves. Tears for Fears remains authentic and their music has aged very well, like themselves. Amazing!!
Authentic? Totally rips off Matthew and Son by Cat Stevens. Not at all authentic and zero originality. Also the singer has a dreadful voice, luckily for them, bad singing was fashionable in the Eighties.
@Quinceps maybe, I'm not an expert but I've seen groups from 80s sing and there's a BIG difference, they have to improvise with their aged voices but still do great, whereas this is no different from when I put on the original, sound for sound, syllable for syllable but like I say, I can't say for sure
Curt Smith is AMAZING! I really appreciate his obvious dedication to his craft. It takes a lot of effort, holding back and letting loose, to keep this up. Bravo.
