Whoever designed that kitchen didn't know too much about how a commercial kitchen works when he installed the handwashing basin so far away. That poor chef walking back and forth to wash his hands between orders. He's great at preparing each order. Very soothing for us watching.
Yeah wasn't too much vigorous hand washing haha I noticed that right away, but he doesn't really touch a lot unless its sticking the fingers in the cheese@@MrWannabechef
One thing I noticed is the multitasking that's required in restaurants is another level. Big respect to culinary workers, you guys work more than what people give credit for and you put a smile on customers faces with your amazing food
imagine being confident enough to record your conversations, the way you walk, the way you prepare the food, how you prioritize tasks, how you handle a rush and how often you wash your hands for 505k people to analyze every second of it
I put the heat as low as it will go, set a timer for 3 minutes exactly, and walk away. Then the moment the timer dings, I start swirling it with my spatula and don't take my eyes off for even a second. lol. (I'm a home cook without much experience with even that. lol)
I live on the other side of the world and will never likely visit this cafeteria but I watch so many of these videos that I feel like I know the kitchen layout, the menu and the staff. It seems like a really cool place to work, with a good culture and vibe. You’re busy but you can still have a laugh. I was also very impressed to see you giving out gifts to your staff after a busy week (a few videos back). Gestures like that are never expected but always appreciated. Keep up the great work team.
Food service doesn't get enough respect that they deserve. You sir are a high quality chef, you make every action look so effortless and your preparation is top notch. I'm at home on my couch in the middle of the night and I can't sleep because of a terrible cold. Your videos preparing food help me relax and make me feel all warm inside. Could watch this for hours! Thanks my man!
I've watched a few of these now and every time he does that mile long walk to the hand wash sink I always think the same thing and he finally said it. "Whoever planned this kitchen didn't know what they were doing"

I love how he says good morning to everyone as he's moving along. So welcoming and polite. I'd eat there every morning. Great video. Thanks.
@@leeanndiamond8218 yeah, baked beans(the kind he's probably talking about) are fairly sweet and tend to get paired with meats sweetened with sauces or seasoning.

This is the slowest commercial kitchen I’ve ever seen, the food looks delicious, the way the chef is making food is top tier but this type of process would never work in an American commercial kitchen, makes me sad really. Even the high end restaurants in America are far too busy and people expect to get amazing dishes in 15 mins.
