The cameras and production set-up is insanely professional. I had no idea how high level it was - like having monitors and off camera focusing and a switchboard is so impressive
I love that you show the progress from a beginner to current progress… a lot of the time we see the finished product but not the WORK that preceded the glitz and glam…❤️
wow Sarah this is not just a studio tour, its - real life look into your video making :) honestly - thank you so much for showing us all of this, and I've seen a lot of studio tours, but this is next level, by the amount of info you show and bring us. I always looked up for you in terms of your quality and fun you bring in your videos and now I appreciate you and the team even more - seeing all this hard work that we don't even think about when watching at your videos.
I know I am biased as a fellow arttuber, but behind the scenes studio stuff is my FAVE! Also it makes me so happy to hear you talk about all the work that goes in to pre and post production... a few hours editing just to take out the blips where nothing is happening, followed by 4-10 days editing to get to the final product... sounds about right! 😂 Also also, those new journals are SO pretty! I am so excited!
This was super interesting to see the behind scenes. Man had no idea, just thought you filmed on iPhone and edited it on your laptop then sent it on its on way. The hard work and time, thanks Sarah, Shane and team for all you do ♥️
Going to start with agreeing with you completely about the wall. 100% right choice. I love studio tours! Seeing the way you organize their art tools and learning about the inner workings of making the channel is just so interesting. I love getting all the extra details of what it takes, you guys are doing such a fantastic job.
Thanks for sharing! It's encouraging to see how you started out as well. I'm new to the UA-cam filming on my little learning-to-art channel here, but I'm enjoying the process and sharing and more importantly really enjoying coloring and discovering all the wonderful coloring books and tools out there. Love your stuff, LOVE your color catalog and appreciate all the hard work you all put in. Can't wait for your new planner AND the Journals!!! OMG I'm in love!
No wonder your videos are so visually and auditorily excellent!! Thank you for sharing your professional studio. I really appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos.
Gracias!Gracias!Gracias!Gracias!Gracias!Gracias! y miles de Gracias! más, for all that you did, for every single video you made and share every single pencil and the 7 cameras are completely worth it, all that you do brings happiness and in my personal life hope and joy when I need it more without a penny in my pocket. Congratulations on all your growth and your achievements be all happy and proud as a team.
I'm just about 7 minutes in, but I really love how thorough you are in showing your equipment and how it works, it's interesting to see the filmmaking part and how much effort goes into producing a video. I feel like it reflects very well how thorough you are in everything that you do, from your art videos to supply reviews - it's something I respect about your work and why I keep coming back to your channel for your well formed opinions, as I trust them in a time of superficial and sponsored videos. :) I wish you an even more succesful second half of 2023!
As someone who's practically addicted to emptying out sorted things and resorting them, all your unsorted pencils are like a dream to me ahaha (my marker collection gets shifted around a lot)
I love sorting too! But it’s reached a point where my time needs to be prioritized elsewhere, so my team helps sort too. And we’ve just been so busy lately!
I'm so incredibly happy for you all. Sadly my channel never grew the way I would like it too but we shall see in this next year while I'm coming back from major surgery. One thing that I would love to see you come out with and that I know would be so easy for is a colorists journal. Something that has areas for us to write down color combinations and different products that were using in different books. I'm sure that the calendars are perfectly capable of it but I would like something dedicated to just that and I know that a lot of colors do so. I'm also a professional artist and would love to be able to keep track of what I'm using in each of my pieces of art. It's just a suggestion and if it does come out I will certainly be one of the first in line for it.
Yahoo and happy day!! What a fantastic studio! You’ve built up a great little space, thanks for keeping it real and starting from the beginning. Much respect for all you’ve accomplished. Also, you and Shane’s symbiotic obsessions are adorable and (7 cameras) funny as heck. I aspire yo your organization! And I’m glad I’m not the only one that randomly collects pencil sharpening shavings! 😂 Happy day ya’ll, I really enjoyed and appreciated this peek. Thanks for the video! Aloha and chipper cheerios!
I know nothing about technology so all of those cameras were just so crazy to me! I imagined it took a lot of equipment for high quality videos such as yours but I could never imagine how much equipement you needed! It was so wholesome to see where you started and how you still use rolls of paper towels! My favourite detail about this tour was the pencil sharpenings. What an original and still significant memory to keep from all of the hours you pour into your videos! Thank you for making such inspiring content! ❤ With anxiety, it's hard even to pick up a kid's colouring book and draw for the sake of having fun so when I struggle I put up one of your videos and you inspire me to draw every time, even just for a few minutes or a silly doodle. I'm so excited for future videos and the future art studio!
I love that this channel isn't just you working on it but your husband is working on it as well and your assistant helping out as well. I love the Lion King cups, we had the Looney Tunes set growing up and I have such fond memories of using them. The art wall is so cool.
You have an awesome studio setup! Great to see behind the scenes. I LOVE the way your Josie Lewis art turned out, it's gorgeous and looks exactly like something she would create!
So fascinating seeing your studio tour! I put it on as I often watch art UA-cam videos when hubby goes to bed. I am a photography geek as well as graphic designer and artist and hubby did media production at uni over 30 years ago so we were both fascinated seeing your setup. Thanks so much for sharing your setup. Hubby is currently a Furniture Upholsterer but he has osteo arthritis in his hands so we don’t know how much longer he will be able to do it. I have been trying to convince him to bring his media production skills up to date to do a career pivot when he can no longer Upholster. Anyway he didn’t get up of the couch to go to bed because he was engrossed in your setup. 😆 Great video! So great watching such a professional Aussie production particularly in Art! Love it! I am a fan of your channel even though I haven’t done colouring since I was a kid. 😆 I did enjoy your painting video as well. I am a bit addicted to watercolour. So much so I incorporated it into my freelance graphic design work. 😆
This has been so interesting and informative, thank you so much for letting us see another side of your channel and life. It shows just how much work, energy and effort goes into each and every thing you and your team do for the channel. 😊
From the moment I watched your videos, the one thing that especially caught my eye was how neatly you had all your markers! Mine are still in the box I got them in or in another box entirely, so I will be getting several of those units myself. :) Also, love that original Bugs Bunny print.
I love your studio so much! I also loved seeing the bts of the products you guys create! Thank you for sharing a bit of the work you do bts. I am so excited for the planner and the journals!
Love the photos showing how you did it when starting out, that’s is so helpful, and I’m glad i’m not the only one who’s room is in a mess! Love seeing all the gear and how your current studio is set up, I love tech stuff and it’s always so cool to see all these!
Holy crap, I can only hope to have that kind of gear someday. And I'm with you, I wouldn't color that wall, either. Thanks for the show; it was really fun to see.
Hi Sarah! I'm so glad to be about to learn from your videos and experience your great mood. One thing I love to use with my pencils (watercolor) is a colorless blender. I remember seeing you use an alcohol colorless blender. But one thing I just tried was a water based colorless blender. The one I'm using is a Tombow ABT water based N00 colorless blender. Using it with watercolor pencils is a game changer. Just thought I would share that. Can't wait to see what you have next to share.
This was so inspirational to watch, I'm only a very small Chanel at the moment, and everything is done on my phone (I don't even have a computer lol) so seeing where you started and where you are now is just the encouragement I needed right now. Xx
Btw I just bought your Color Cubes last week and they are SO beautiful! I have already used them to color two pages with combos I had never done before. I’ve had my eye on them for awhile and finally pulled the trigger. These will be very useful in my watercolor and gouache work too. I tend to use only the same old combos but these beautiful cards will give me inspiration for color and content because the photography is gorgeous as well. Well done on their creation! I’m incredibly happy that I finally bought them.
Thank you for this! That was an incredible video, and I love hearing about all of the photography equipment and your art supplies, even your shelf systems!! Wow!!!!
Yaay!!! I'm looking forward to aquiring the journal. Currently I've been using a dot journal in addition to my planner. So,.this will be great that my planner and journal can match!!!
You make it look flawless!!! hats off th you and Shawn working together the way you do...such a great and fun channel...I wish you all the sucess you can handle!!! much love and HUGZZZZs and thanks for the tour!!!
2:29 Shane, just nod to the 4!! I TOTALLY get the addiction to cameras, I have 4 plus a video camera and something like a GoPro. Wait for it… PLUS I have coloring pencil/coloring book/pen addiction too!! Arteza, Prismacolor, Crayola, and I WON a 24 set of Koh-i-Noor Magic Jumbo Colored Pencils, and a 24 set of Koh-i-Noor Tri-Tone Colored Pencils!! So I T O T A L L Y get y’all!! Love your channel and content ❤ Take care… 5:47 My jaw dropped when you showed the Black Magic cameras!! That is SO AWESOME!! You actually are a “studio” with the red/green lights, that is so cool!! I am so happy for you and your team❤ from Ohio 🇺🇸
The only suggestions I have: you should make a blank coloring page cover (like your studio wall) to the planner,... Adding an elastic to the planner (like the journals have), to secure everything inside, and a pocket to the inside back cover. Other than those suggestions, I've been happier than the"Happy planner" with your planner!!!
'I'm not a colouring pencil addict'.... Isn't that like the motto of coloured pencil addicts? 😂 Love the vid, and snapshots from your pre-YT days are adorable and inspiring 😊
Nah… most coloring pencil addicts love to brag about their addiction! I’m thinking about giving a lot of my pencils away once I’m confident I’ve done enough testing and reviews. Keep the ones I regularly use and give away the ones sitting in the closed shelves.
@@SarahRenaeClark oh wow, that's pretty cool 😎 but no matter how many pencils you unhaul, you will always be the Colour Pencil Disney Princess in my eyes 👸
Would love to look through each individual art supply that you have when you do a tour. Maybe you could do a technical tour for those who are interested in that stuff and just an art tour for the ones that want the art. Would love to see all the different coloured water, colours and paints that you have, and maybe a picture of something ever created with each.
This is amazing to watch as not many people understand how many things happen in the background of any video on youtube :) even my own things take much longer then some people think 💚💚💚💚💚💚
Yay! Finally! I was waiting for this, I’ve always been so curious about what your art environment looked like! And now it’s finally here! I’m super excited! 😄
❤wowww im in aww of the work that you guys do ..and how upto date the equipment and how Important it is for better quality art supplies even the budget CHEERS thanktyouu for sharing your life in a short video and i know there were a lot of long hours you and shane put into this video 🎉🎉❤❤
Thank you for sharing with us! It's so interesting to see behind the scenes stuff and hear a bit about what goes into creating your videos 😁 also, I'm glad you don't want to color your wall. I really love the white with black line work and your beautiful pops of color!
That was one awesome tour! There is a lot of work in just one video, that's for sure! You *could* color your wall occasionally and/or seasonally, by using that colored paper you use for backgrounds. It's not that hard to cut out the places you want to color, so perhaps at Easter lots of yellow, and spring greens, and around Christmas....well you get the idea. Or a hidden "easter egg" here or there for us to spot ;-)) And, if you stick it on with some easy to remove stuff, it's not permanent either. SO many creative things already come out of your studio, and i can totally understand why you'd need a bigger one! I am hoping that one day I can have my own kind of art studio. I want a little of a lot! ;-))
Really loved this behind-the-scenes tour of your filming and editing process! I think the camera set-up was extremely stellar design-wise 😍 Owning over 4k pencils makes me feel not so bad about my *ahem* collection of watercolor & alcohol markers, not to mention sketchbooks. 🥲 I also loved your tips about storing art supplies. I wouldn't normally think to check the kitchen storage or other household storage items in stores. Thank you for a wonderful insider's view of how you started and the plans for expanding! ❤
Hi Sarah, in your videos you regularly mention that you get smudges on your hands (and drawing) while colouring. I do too.. 😅 but I found the perfect solution: I purchased a kind of glove for only your ringfinger and pinky. With that glove on you can relax and lay your hand down on the page without the smudges! Bonus: if I use the eraser, I can ‘brush’ the things away with the glove (on). I found the thing on Temu.
You can´t make anything small, your motto is go big, or go home :DDDDD Thank you for showing us behing the scenes, it was awesome as always your videos are!
I love the journals, but would love a black and white line version of your walls or artwork instead of all coloured covers. Thank you for sharing your home studio - it's amazing.
You are insanely wonderfully professional and relatable which is a combination or characteristics I never thought of describing someone. Can I move to Australia, be your neighbour and help you around? You have a magnetic personality in with we feel like we are your friend, which is crazy. You are wonderful!! Love your channel!!
I love your wallpaper!! Of course you won’t ever colour it!! You have too many other things to colour and you need the black and white space as a neutral backdrop for your pencils!
The cameras and production set-up is insanely professional. I had no idea how high level it was - like having monitors and off camera focusing and a switchboard is so impressive

Your filming & editing gear setups are incredible!! 😲 So cool to see the throwbacks of your beginnings.
I love that you show the progress from a beginner to current progress… a lot of the time we see the finished product but not the WORK that preceded the glitz and glam…❤️
This is by far the best Art Studio Tour I have ever seen!!
Real tech goals 😍 Thanks for taking us behind the scenes.
wow Sarah

Totally! Enough for at least 3 videos in just this one. So much info
Exactly
Oh my! This is exciting! I’ve always hoped you would do a tour! Thank you, Sarah! 😊
I love how she says "our" in this video❤ She, Shane, and their team work so, so hard, and their videos look amazing!
I never truly realized how much work UA-camrs do. And can’t wait to see more collabs with Jazza
I know I am biased as a fellow arttuber, but behind the scenes studio stuff is my FAVE! Sarah has over 4k pencils and it's her job; I have a lot of pens, almost hundred(s), and it's an addiction hahahahah
I feel you, Sah
Wow, seeing all the unseen work that goes into your videos is amazing! That camera set up is next level.
This was super interesting to see the behind scenes. Man had no idea, just thought you filmed on iPhone and edited it on your laptop then sent it on its on way. The hard work and time, thanks Sarah, Shane and team for all you do ♥️
That set is insane. Shane should be proud.

Holy cow! I wonder what all of that equipment set you back! So cool
I love the journals, but would love a black and white line version of your walls or artwork instead of all coloured covers. Thank you for sharing your home studio - it's amazing.
I am so happy you are making good . Happy times xxxxxxxxxx
That's one of the most impressive camera set ups I've seen so far!
Really looking forward to the Journals and plannner❤
Inspiring....great video as usual. Loved to see how this "enterprise " has evolved....congratulations....keep doing this fantastic job....cheers
Fascinating! Thank you so much for sharing!
I dont know why, but after this video i have fallen further in ❤ with you and your channel 😊
you guys are amazing.... i wish you all the best!! Thank you so much!! Regards from Chicago!!
You are insanely wonderfully professional and relatable which is a combination or characteristics I never thought of describing someone. Can I move to Australia, be your neighbour and help you around? You have a magnetic personality in with we feel like we are your friend, which is crazy.
You are wonderful!! Love your channel!!
Amazing setup, well done 👍
Wow, amazing, thank you sharing your equipment and your studio 😍
Oh my! You guys put so much effort to make these amazing videos .. keep it up 🔥❤️
Wow! I had no idea how much work went into a single 20 min video!
.....most asked question..."why do you save pencil shavings???"
Would be cool in a resin pour table top, or new desk top.
I’m thinking resin too. Still waiting for that perfect idea to hit
Congrats on your success, this is fantastic! I wish nothing but the best for your growing career!! I love your channel!
I love your wallpaper!! Of course you won’t ever colour it!! You have too many other things to colour and you need the black and white space as a neutral backdrop for your pencils!
Thank you so much for the studio share! The besta units look like they might work good in a small space. Do you have a grid or layout photo/plan?
