Hello The problem in our country is that we see how much money is being made by selling dosa and not the work done by a IT or a software engineer. Even Sadguru says agriculture is lucrative or should be made lucrative. This thing about who makes how much and the way we measure success is flawed in not just our country but all over the world. There are agriculture failures and environment disasters in other countries too. We have to measure success if a person is adding value to society. If there is a music teacher who does not make a lot of money but has taught a lot of students he is still successful or rather we have to give emphasis on significance, relevance. A person selling T-shirt with message "Best Doctors Are Born in January" make more money than a space scientist who who leads a simple life not going on expensive holidays and having luxury cars does not make him less successful. But that person is more relevant as he is contributing to the society. No money earned can surpass his contrition to the humankind. Measure a person by if he/she is doing significant and relevant contribution, without creating obstacles for others and not at expense of failing others. If someone is selling dosa and making more money and if someone is building software so that we could diagnose cancer better, both have right to be respected. I believe that the argument that parents are arrested for taking their kids to farm is misinformation spread by the preacher. I see kid coming to shops and working there and going to plantations (if not farms) and working there where ever i have been. It lacks common sense because in India where we are still not sensitive about kids migrating for child labor or doing dangerous activity in poor conditions or being trafficked the authorities, wont be worried about kids working in their parents farm. However there are cases where the kids are dropped out of school to work in farms which is not good practice. That has to be opposed by society and authorities. Else there is nothing like parents living in fear of arrested for child labor in country where they are not booked for beating up kids.
Sorry, guy making dosas is not making far more than an IT professional. But clearly, we don’t need a whole country of IT professionals. There is room for everything. You should work not just based on how much you earn; but also on how much you enjoy what you do.

Working in a rural area and having tried to motivate locals to colloborate among themselves. I can say one thing, most people are content that govt gives them money for everything. They get subsidy for seeds, planting, harvesting etc and thus want to maintain status quo. Almost all are resistant to change. The second major factor is everyone is jealous of each other. They fear that the other person would develop in life more than them and are selfish enough to prevent their own growth in order to get mental satisfaction of seeing the other person not growing.

Sadhguru is perfectly right. Land holdings have become very small. With few acre of land, the farmer cannot invest. To invest money and technology, one need minimum of 400 acre to 500 acre continues stretch of land, which is not possible to get in India. Politicians have made lot of rules restricting the purchase of agriculture land by those who are not farmers or for corporate.

This is what exactly Mr. Seeman, founder of Naam Tamizhar faction ( Tamil nadu, India ) is explaining for past 10 years about the Agriculture position in India.
You can never change this trend in India. In other countries, people have no time to study because they are interested in solving problems through hard work and also continuously seeking improvement in existing systems. In India, people do not want to work using physical labor. It is because of the fact that since thousands of years in the past Brahmins got name and fame ( though not money ) because of their work using brains. Now, in recent years they are able to earn more by getting employment in IT sector. This has made parents from all religion and caste wish their children to take interest in studies instead of working in fields.

With exponetial growth of the world population, agriculture will be in higher demand and prices will naturally increase. It would be wise to invest in this industry long term. You could also sell to western countries with a higher exchange rate to be more lucrative. Start learning the basics of soil building, and chemistry to motivate you by giving you an edge. Yes even my kids have not seen a village, thought I too have not, but was fortunate to visit my grandmother during summer vacations residing in Lonavala and was a huge bungalow with many mangoes , jackfruit, guava, rose plants a well and a farm.
But city kids r too far from our soil and nature. Beside we have lost our native land from last few generations.
Smita Chugh I would like to stay in that bungalow for a few days. I am kind of a vagabond traveller, a simple ordinary man. May I ? I have heatd that Lonavala is a beautiful place. I am from Kolkata.
And u have pride of it ..it seems !!
Till we crave for quality over quantity start practice of giving to society than getting from it respect for fellow citizen, we are destined to go where we are going
Thank you for this video
This is very relevant to the Punjabi farmers, where stubble burning, wholesale water wastage, and inorganic fertilizers and pesticides are overused, leading to imminent threats like water scarcity.
Why video has this title

Pranamagalu sadhguruji
*Hare Krishna! I wonder if someone can elaborate more on the methods of "siddha agriculture". I study sustainable agriculture in germany*
I know a Siddha doctor who does his own Siddha Agriculture here in Coimbatore. And he is 75 years old and one of his friend and I guess his student. She is also from Germany.
I wonder if you like to provide contact if she agrees!
Real!Real!Real!
These words of sadguru will be telecast or will be discussed in debates In future, after we lack agriculture production .
He is very much right.
This is so important in general but more so with how the rivers are now and where they are heading. Come on people!!
OM NAMAHSHIVAYA
This problem is not only India , same in Sri Lanka.
So rightly put
Even my father is now in farming, but I don't know were are my farming lands distributed in village, being an engineer I know how to fix a motor, a vehicals but I don't know how to grow a vegetable in my own village home
Respected sadguruji, sadar pranam. Please convert this vedio in hindi . Thanks for information. Namh shivay.
we have need to change everything......i m going for that
This is what exactly Mr. Seeman, founder of Naam Tamizhar faction ( Tamil nadu, India ) is explaining for past 10 years about the Agriculture position in India.
Grow the healthy Thai Riceberry black rice in India...A huge market potential for it in India.
Jaggi said he planted 60 lacs trees in Coimbatore region along western ghats. When a voluntary org asked to show the trees so that they can water the trees, he then said he didn't plant the saplings, esha foundation only sowed the seeds along the ghats. Now.... This lecture on farming. Thanks sadhguru. By the way he has obtained a contract with karnataka govt to plant 20 crores trees in ktk. Don't know if it's saplings planting or seeds sowing. !!!! And then there was a project he initiated called rally for rivers. There were some crores of missed calls. Then pin drop silence. Now it's shivrathri with entry tickets ranging from 500 to 5 lacs. Hats off sadhguru ji. Please give more and more guidance. Ji there is an allegation that you have blocked the river routes in velliangiri hills to make your 250 acres ashram, then how will younger generation see rivers at all??
Any Supporting links? Or just cooked up stories?
Its 400 acres ashram. That's why I emphasize on supporting links to back up your source of information. That link will help us take the discussion forward.
It also decides the credibility of your comment. *Valuable to crap* is just one supporting link away.
🙏🙏🙏 Amazing...
Sadguru... A man in ap using 35000 acres of land to build world's smartest capital city. But that land is more important to future generations than these greatest infrastructure. As days change infrastructure changes but those lands were all 12 months agriculture capable lands... Kindly shed some light on it for the sake of better Bharath if this reaches u.... Namaskaram...
One of the river which is now a big sewage drain in Bangalore is vrushabhavati
even myself completed studies in engineering but do not know how to implement this idea and make it happen. i want to help directly or indirectly, though somewhere i am in lack of clarity.... i don't believe in right choices but once a choice is made, must make it to right... when i on the T.V for news, 80% i am watching senseless people covered by media... what type of plans and ideas you people have, can share here, anything related.. thankyou for this awareness.
Exactly , same way Vietnam succeed in pepper cashew ;cash crops once monopoly of India , now Vietnam top , They learned from India what should do and what should not do
With exponetial growth of the world population, agriculture will be in higher demand and prices will naturally increase. It would be wise to invest in this industry long term. You could also sell to western countries with a higher exchange rate to be more lucrative. Start learning the basics of soil building, and chemistry to motivate you by giving you an edge. Even in a financial collapse or power outage, you can still barter, or at the least have food security.
My India is in a Race to become a Superpower...But, we don't realise that we are already a Superpower... We've the ability to feed the whole world...But, Alas we're heading in the wrong direction...

Kaliyuga.....when will we learn..to bypass the crisis?..can it be done?..I believe the meltdown can be lessened with awareness
This is because of our education system.
The present education pushing all the youths in to the cities for survival.
They are becoming dependent.
Since age old, our villages were independent, sadly, now they are looking for cities for survival.
Secondly there should be a rule to control population.
I have tried and tested aquaculture a deviation from mainline banking. I realized one thing.. it’s not about your knowledge or skills or even patience for that matter, we always underperform in agriculture since we don’t think BIG..and BIG requires bigger vision bigger funding and most important larger land and manpower!! All of which rounds of to access of funds!! FYI ..

The title is misleading. Can you tell us as to what you are trying to achieve by giving such title?
