    I have fallen down the UA-cam rabbit hole of esthetician videos. I'm starting school at an aveda institution in September and cannot wait to get my estheticians license! I've had sensitive skin my entire life and cannot wait to find out what is best not only for myself but for others as well and educate them on how to take care of skin issues they may be facing! Also, my sister is obsessed with that neutrogena fash wash lol. I'll have to convince her to stop using it! But thank you so much for this, it was super helpful and had some very useful information in it!

    I went to school to be an Esthetician and got pregnant and didn't finish. I've been to many Dermalogica conventions and other professional-grade conventions. I am planning to go back to school and finish getting licensed. Really glad to find you here on you-tube! I hope you are doing well in this challenging time of life! Excited to check out your videos and see what you have going on ! Have a wonderful day!

    Hi! I am 41 years old and a cancer survivor and I recently decided to start school for my Esthetician license! I start in two weeks. I am so excited and a little nervous. I have been skin care and makeup obsessed for the past 20 years and I don’t know why I didn’t do this sooner! Anyway I am a little nervous being an older person as I know I will be the mother of the class but I think it can be an advantage too! Thank you for the tips! ☺️❤️

      A grace filled life congrats on overcoming that. Reading your comment gave me pause. I’m very proud of you for overcoming that with such grace as you say. You will have an incredible time. My favorite people in class were usually your age, and I’m not far behind! All my love

      Most estheticians rely on the products they are trained on, have educational resources for and see tried and true results on. We recommend what we can rely on as a treatment products for our clients results, and that works for a wide range of people. That tends to be the difference between a blogger, who’s job is to try and recommend trends and brands, and a professional who carefully chooses a line to trust for results and retail.

    The only bar soap I have is completely natural made with skin-grade organic oils since I am sensitive, also it's not too solid, it's a little buttery and I like that lol. However I only use it when washing my hands and no where else

    • @TessZolly
      @TessZolly  5 років тому +1

      EmんEm even so the problem is usually the binders that hold it together. Renée Rouleau has a great article on why bar soaps are not the best! But better on hands than face :)

      @@TessZolly when I graduate I will be a licensed esthetician and a certified laser tech! In Canada you have to be certified to do anything with a laser, including hair removal and IPL photo-facials, not sure if you have the same laws in the states? My experience so far has been really good, I'm so lucky to be in a class with some really cool girls! And I'm already working at a small, local spa (the owner has been an Esty for 15 years!) I'm so thankful to be getting more hands-on experience and learning from an expert in the industry 🤓🖤
