Doggy Day Out

For Tigre, a pup who has spent 415 days in our shelter, today was filled with a number of firsts!
First time at the Bayou, first waterfall, first leaf pile, first sunflower, first gelato pup, first time being a carefree DOG!
Today we are excited to launch our #DoggyDayOut program where dogs like Tigre who have often been looked over will have the opportunity to explore H-Town with some of you!
Although we do our best to provide the highest care for every animal, the shelter environment can be scary and stressful for a pup.
On a Doggy Day Out, our animals have an opportunity to experience new sights and smell helping them build confidence and come out of their shell. Plus you get a best friend for a day to explore this beautiful city with!
