Fun Fact:All of F-Zero X's sound track is composed entirely in MIDI format. None of the instruments you hear are real! Amazing what they could do with such limitations.
So I recently ripped the music from a rom of this game and it turns out that all the music tracks are in fact not in a midi format but instead in a format that normal music players like Groove for Windows 10 support for some reason.
@@volu9913 That's something I'll probably always wonder about F-Zero X: Why was the music pre-rendered when it almost sounds sequenced (though with some effects)? The Nintendo 64 already had enough to do, having to render and process 30 racers, and on top of that had to play ADPCM audio! I would be complaining about this more if I didn't have a very similar-sounding guitar (thanks to Tony Thai), as if it *was* sequenced, that guitar would be ripped immediately.
The Expansion Kit remixed some songs as well. White Land has an extension to the song, and Red Canyon pans the Guitars. And then you know that there are new songs to the expansion kit like a remix of Rainbow Road and Rollercoaster. The addition of Drums was also part of Red Canyon's remix.
Same here. I've missed out on this home console release, but I have the emulator, and I'm very disappointed I didn't live those days almost 12 years earlier. Same with the original F-Zero; I've bought it and first played it in 2008, and I was even more disappointed about missing out on that one, too.
i fucking love flying thru the air off that giant jump and landing way the fuck down the track...but i hated it when you would go to far and end up going thru the track. FUCK YA THO ROCK ON!!
with these awesome soundtrack got the boost power before a boost power .... can you imagine how powerful the use of a boost power would be with this amount of power ?
what i meant was, in the original soundtrack album, released in stereo, there were two guitars one on the right and left, the main guitar was heard on the right whereas the left guitar kind of played as a chord, the expansion kit swapped the guitars the other way around...if you know what i mean...
@taka3000000o LOL that sucks that you had to give away your N64. I'm still mad at my bros for missing out on half the SNES games I bought from eBay that we could've been playing back in the mid 1990's! ;(
11+ years without a dislike, this is the most perfect video game song in existence
Dammit you had to ruin it
You'll never know now
Welp, now we don't know unless you have that one extension.
this song would make a sound track in a fighter jet scene

Childhood broken :(
But is really hear so good :)
@@happinessdizzy5542 I thinks it's pretty cool. It doesn't detract from the game, it just makes it that much more appreciable.

Many n64 games used the midi format since it took up little space

One of the many reason I like metal is probably the glorious video game music influence from the 90s and early 2000s.
10 years and still no dislikes
Holy shit
I wonder why...
Dirty Noob X wow you’re right!
12 years and STILL no dislikes! Holy shit indeed!

I I like where this is going.
i made it 101 :D
GO F-ZERO!!

can see myself at about 9 years old on the N64 blasting around a track killing anyone in the way to win, this is still a very addictive game, even now
your right Mr.^^
0:00-2:58 is also awsmome man! Yeah! 5 f*** stars!!

im tempted to go in the cupboard, dust off the N64 and start playing again!!!
Because the Expansion Kit made the music into Stereo sound. The Original N64 version had the music in Mono with stereo sound effects.
Cool, never heard the extended version. It's like the GP Legend version. :)
The lovely DTD

All my games of my past still here, but a lot of games I have lost! (like MP 2,3,4,5,6,7;mario 64;G2-Extreme)
oh right i get it now..thanks.
Huh, so this is different from The Long Distance of Murder. It's subtle, but it's definitely different.
You Got Boost Power!
God bless you.
Yeha I remember falling off of Silence(Jack Cup) because of that.
0:51- 0:57 the drums get burn! Epic!
search google for "galbadia hotel" The site is littered with ads though. But that makes sense given how much music they host.
Awesome! Wow!
that is so fun to do in practice. just get to over 1100 kmh and you fly away.
omg I'm so stoned..
Just get it on VC. My brother got it just because I asked if he could. I hadn't played it for awhile, but recently I have.
same here!!

This should be in BRAWL somewere.
To get this song, or any of the others, PM me.
Why is the panning of the guitars swapped around?
Ill shit! I'm 69 comment!
and the introduction of the drums?
@SuperMario811 wow sux i had it on the 64 but my dad made me give my 64 away to honduras =( and wen i found out about the emulator i went crazy
can you tell us... where you find this gold mine?
too bad. you lost your machine.
I know the whole soundtrack is metal in general, but a lot of elements of this track in particular sound like it could be a Megadeth track for sure
