Very enjoyable!! I do wish the "Western" part had equal play. I would have liked to see the drum set come in at some point replacing the tabla/dholak for a real Western groove. The groove was all Indian all through. Still, very very enjoyable.
You are right...If the drummer had played his bit, it would have become a nice fusion..I too was expecting drummer play drums or atleast cymbals in this piece...
Though Indian, I prefer the original from Come September. This display is not in tandem with the original tune, even while attempting an Indian version. Some things are best left untouched.
Immensely harmonious & successful duet between Indian & western musicians for this famous melody of COME SEPTEMBER ( 1961 ). Special thanks on this day i.e. September 1, 2023. 😊😊👌👌👍👍❤❤
Superb!!! Unity in diversity is possible at a GLOBAL LEVEL AND LET US ALL UNITE AND CREATE A GLOBAL SCENARIO THAT ALL THE PEOPLE IN ALL THE GALAXIES WOULD ENVY.!!!!!
👍It’s great composition of Come September with Indian and Western a great very famous prominent classic of its time. We all used to enjoy a great as child’s.
That is NOT a mandolin. I play mandolin. The mandolin is an Italian instrument. It typically has 8 strings. 2 each of E, A, D and G. Mandolins evolved from lute family instruments in Europe. Predecessors include the gittern and mandore or mandola in Italy during the 17th and 18th centuries. There were a variety of regional variants, but two most widespread ones were the Neapolitan mandolin and the Lombardic mandolin. The Neapolitan style has spread worldwide. The instrument in this video is a Sarod as George stated. A Mandolin is NOT an Indian instrument.
So sad to read your comment. The artist playing the Rabab is Indian. And Rabab is the instrument of the Indian subcontinent. By the way where are you from? Music is banned in Afghanistan
The caption is misleading. It's one side track. It's not Indian instrument. He is playing only one line of the song repeatedly which is very boaring, he did not give a chance to guitar at all... it's clearly visible that it's planned to degrade that guitarist...😐
Ustad Ghulam Hussain in Rubab(an Afghan instrument) and Christian Kögel in Guitar.
So beautiful 🙏🏻
thanx.for introducing the names of musicians!
Piece from heaven!!! Hope they live long and make more music 🙏
मन प्रसन्न ...कान तृप्त ...आत्मा चिंब ...काया देहभान ... देह सुखावला ... तह-ए-दिल से शुक्रिया👌🎉🎼🍫🎊🎶

Very nice. Would have been more appreciated if the Rubab player had not dominated and would have allowed the Guitar player also some space.
Nicely observed! We actually lost the western flavour of it.

Simply uploading a video is of no use, unless you give complete details of the artists. The Indian instrument is mandolin.
Atul Shah Thank you! I wondered....was trying to tell my granddaughter what it was. I also don’t know the names of the drums....which I LOVE.
Sorry friend, it's sarod
