Another cool VBS. I wish you were in charge of boat listings because a lot of them suck! Here’s a nugget of info: 1970s slang, “shine on” means to ignore, put something off until later or indefinitely. (Example: “I shined it on). Or, to to tell someone a tall tale. To lie. To purposely deceive someone. (“Come on, man, don't shine me on.”). So, you’ve got that going for you! 😉😂
Have read reports by professionals who have delivered Prestige yachts who claim the Prestige are flimsy build quality. No idea if that is true but check all forward hull panels for oil-canning if you take it out in any sort of seaway. Don't be scared by pod drives! They are designed to pop off if you hit a rock, pop in a new pod in a few hours. Balance that against long haul-out pulling shafts, new props etc if you hit a rock with prop drives. Also pods offer better fuel economy and much better steering control. One of my sons runs a big Palm Beach with pods and loves it -- has taken it up and down the East Coast and all around New England with zero problems.
Hi guys. Up here in Canada we call it The Great Loop. We live right on the Rideau canal and can't say we see to many "sexy boats" with a loop burgee. most are more practical... Pilothouses or trawlers really. Still waiting for the big reveal! Take care. BTW... you have me saying "shine on" now and people have no clue what i'm talking about. I love it!
Some of the older pod drive boats have bow thrusters. Personally I'd like having the added functionality of being able to push the bow to the side at the same time you're pushing the stern over, like pushing to the side of a lock.
Good point on the ability of the pods and why they have a thruster. Sort of seems like a lot of new mechanical gear to have the same old thruster need. ⚓️Mark
FYI - we love kids, yoga cleaning and cooking. Don’t take up much space but do snore a bit. We could be live in grandparents. (Just kidding)Awesome yacht- boo on the pods. Thanks. D.
@@TheBoomershines you can carry a spare shaft and Props for under 10,000 in cost (most cases) can’t carry 2 spare pods ! Oh and if you loose one the insurance company wants you to find it….
@@TheBoomershines Indeed. We were shopping for a couch and we asked the salesperson what the snugariffic quotient was for a model we liked. We got a blank look but then there was the “aha” moment and now someone else knows. The movement is growing. Cheers.
We understand that masks are polarizing and have read a ton of research about their effectiveness so that we understand both sides of the debate. We respect your decision to not like masks. However, we would like you to give us the same respect about our decision for Mark to wear a mask in our own home while he was sick.

Thanks for the enjoying our channel and for the nugget of info. Definitely not the message we are trying to convey with our "Shine On". Ha! ⚓️Mark
I really love the way you guys did your best to ignore the yard guy 😂🤣😂
LOL it wasn't easy. Thank YOU for doing your best also to ignore also. LOL.
We did place a little blurb at the bottom and Cinda shot a displeased look for a moment. It was subtle. ⚓️Mark

Have you looked at the Benneteau 50” Swift Trawler? Be sure and look at something more recent (not the 52).
No. Thank you! ⚓️Mark

Pods ….. try to get them worked on…. You’ll find out why no one wants them and insurance companies don’t want them…..
Very good point! I heard they need an average of 3 scheduled services while on the Loop. That necessitates a haul out for service as well. ⚓️Mark
So is that another vote to not do the Loop with pods? :)
