Once again, it sounds splendid. I think what's happening here is your technique has reached the level to where as long as the tools are in good working order, the rest of it is becoming secondary. Your skill level is such that you can squeeze what you need out of just about anything. The important point from here on out is the comfort and ease with which you'll be able to accomplish this. Obviously, you'll play better if you don't have to fight your gear, but you have established the neural pathways between brain, heart, and fingers to such a degree that if you were asked to sit in with somebody and you had none of your own stuff, you could get through the night with loaners. That's a good thing.
Once again,
CHEERS, and hats off!
I compare everything with my Toneking imperial Marc 3. This is when connected with your Strat. It sounds like the tweed side of my Toneking when I cut the mids. I like it a lot. Don’t give it back lol
I liked it. It's very defined.
Take a SLO 30 or 100 for a test drive.
If you buy one put some vintage 12ax7s in it.
Nice amp and guitars.
Good equipment is nothing if you don't have the touch.
You have the touch.
I just picked up an Egnater rebel 30. It fantastic for club volume and doesnt loose that strat sound on the drive channel..
How about running it in parallel with a deluxe to pick up the Fender cleans. I'd like to hear something like that.
Thats the amp you bring to shows. Keep that vintage gear safe and sound at home and for recording.
Great, great amp!
Your playing makes any amp sound cool.
That amps got it all!
There 005 circuit that Taylor does a seriously nice. I actually had one on loan that was a 6550 75 watt circuit & it sounded very similar to my TR which is also a sss style circuit. Taylor builds some incredible amps
Love that Les Paul p90 tone. You and PhilX have made me really like that gritty old sound. The amp is killer.
Sounds incredible
Sounds killer!
I really like it…sounds very creamy and glass like w/the ‘59 Strat and warm and overdriven w/the Les Paul…
My unsolicited advice is focus 99% on your songcraft. You have gift for it. Where You Been is so, so good.
I enjoyed the clarity and richness of your sound.☮️
That Les Paul is so awesome. Love the sound and look of it.
Sounds wicked good. Proof also that great fingers can bring out the best in any gear….
That 2nd setting when you played the LP sounded similar to the setting I use on my old Orange OR120. Cool amp pal.
Nasty! In a very good way. Your playing is superb bro. The Amps good but without a decent player to showcase what it can do, then it becomes just another Combo. Great stuff Matt.
Yeah, nasty is the word. Quite abrasive and it farts like a fuzz. I can see it in the hands of an indie player, albeit with treble turned down quite a bit.
VHT makes a Dumble-style, the D50, which comes in under $1k for the head. It’s the only experience I’ve had with a D-type and it’s definitely interesting. I’d love one just for the cleans.
Fantastic tones abound, Sir!
F..K yes on the Les Paul in that amp. I also really like what you are inspired to play on the Les Paul.
The great Jeff Beck once walked into famous Regent Sounds guitar shop on Denmark Street London (where the Stones Recorded their first album + many other greats like the Who). Beck kindly offered those who happened to be in the shop a masterclass. He grabbed the nearest guitar, a regular $200 Squire, and plugged it into a new Fender pro junior and out poured the sound of Jeff Beck. Some thought it must be a special Squire and wanted to buy it, but the rest knew Jeff Beck and his talent were the reason. Amateurs look for gear, pros need the money and masters see the light. It must be pretty bright where you are right now.
I guess that's why he used his custom shop fender an Klon's to play on tour 😂😂😂😂
You have a great imagination
Translation: practice, practice, practice and leave expensive gear to rich or inexperienced.
@@ivandel7788Bro gotta burn his cash somehow, spending it on Custom Shop axe is the first thing that comes to mind.
🎸 🤔
@@dbb124Whether that story is true or not is irrelevant, he still made a valid point. There are countless people forever collecting expensive gear and starting their UA-cam comments with "I have..." yet can barely play any tune.
Other guys sport cheap gear and play and sound like gods. 🤔
I'm not sure I'm diggin the amp, but then again this is not live but compressed UA-cam. However, your SRV tone video was spot on with the same Strat! Talent is definitely there of course.
always LOVE to watch you play! The amp sounds really good...
I liked it! It has a nice clean look and the speaker 🔈 looks and sounds great. I have a Fender Champion 50 and a Champion 100XL. I like fooling around with the built in functions and I can use headphones 🎧 in my apartment. I think you will enjoy the built in stuff on that amp or a larger one. You can skip plugging in all your pedals. Thanks for sharing it with us. 👍☮️🌞🎸🎵🩵
Sounds really good on my end, but not as good as some of your vintage Fender amps. Basically its replacing a few pedals, but I'd prefer the flexibility of adding the pedal of my choice in front.
Great sounding amp! As always your playing is superb!! Always injoy listening too you play. Keep up with the good videos and God bless. Peace brother!!
The clean is so full! Excellent playing as usual.
I used to own a Mesa Boogie amp, the studio 22plus. What an amp! Great amps!
Me too. Great amp.
I don’t think you’ll like hearing this but it’s the best you’ve ever sounded to my ears!
Loved the sound of that Amp when you played it with the Strat.
The Gibson and that amp - WOW!
Good afternoon young Matthew, your sounding good, never hurts to try new things.
Does that go for girlfriends as well? Ha!
Pure bliss listening to your playing once again ! Amazing stuff :)
I love all your videos. Love what you do and keeping the craft alive for younger people. No need to have a dumble for me but would love to see you have something close or the real thing and would contribute just to see you play it! Hope you understand how much people enjoy what you do. You are the best!
Big loud and clean, that’s all anybody could ask for in a good amp. Great review, and even better playing. Much respect
yes that is how a guitar amp sounds thank you for reminding us.
That's a very good sounding Amp! Sweet and clear
Aplified nation is incredible, ive been wanting one for some time now
My 22 watt is a fender super sonic . I get some nasty tones from it stock speaker sucks but swap it for a celestion neodymium creamback and it's killer
Like always u make any amp sound great .loved it
Both guitars sounded good through it but when you plugged your Les Paul in that's when it sounded like a match.
Despite this video's premise, Matt, it quickly proves something far more important, that it's the player, not the gear. I theorize that if most of us spent more time playing than trying to run down gear we'd discover the holy grail is something that comes from within. Kudos! Oh and yeah the amp passes but so do the ones behind you.
Wow! That's a very fast amp Matthew. That attack is crisp. Great playing.
Sounds amazing, the intro!
awesome sounding amp i want one! always look forward to your videos.
Crunchy and powerfull...good sound
Great upload! Awesome playing and gorgeous sounds. The amp suits your p90 les paul to a T. Would love to see you play through some of AN's big clean(ish) amps.
Keep it up!
Fantastic guitar playing, fantastic guitar player. I wouldn't presume to be able to tell the difference between different amps considering all the various knobs, buttons, configurations and settings they have on amps of that size. But I know a good guitarist when I see and hear one. PEACE 🎸🤠👍
Good job with your playing...nice
Sounds great..... you mentioned trying new stuff and getting inspired - I think the Les Paul with the P90s is definitely pushing you in new directions over the strat sound... I think it could be you're number one..!!👍👍
Wow
Sweet Sounds Matthew 🤙🤙
And iiiii... Don't wanna fall in loooove...
i liked more on les paul thant the strat, i don't know it just seems to match more. it's a amazing amp!
great sounding amp and excellent playing
Lookit 👀 Matt playing like Jarrod James Nichols!🎸.....great work Matt.👍🎸
That amp sounds great. I love how you can squeeze those notes out of your guitar. Could listen to you play all day long. Thanks for sharing!!
That amp sounds great, thanks Cheers!
Some amazing playing as always. Not blown away by the amp though. Sounds like a much smaller amp.
Man that rig sounds great!
Sounds really nice. Great players can sound good through almost any rig, but this amp complements your style nicely and is exceptional. Checking out those amps for sure bro.
It's very articulate, sounds incredible!
Holly sh1t this is a tone! Your playing is wonderful!
That amp wants to go !! Really had that Bonamassa thing going.
Bonamassa actually uses AN Overdrive Reverb time to time.
The amp sounds beautiful, lots of overtones, definitely has its own thing going on,cool voicings, way more versatile then a fender.
Clean loud headroom in a fender style I'd recommend a Music Man HD 130 or Boogie Coliseum if you dare.
Always the BEST....
Ooh, tasty chops fella :)
A link for the amp might be good :)
Looking forward to more videos! You and Nik are the best on UA-cam.
That's pretty cool to be open to some new things and experimentation. That amp sounds awesome and I don't want to take anything away from it's sonic coolness, but you could play through a 1974 J.C. Penney MCS stereo system and still sound amazing!
Ferocious playing Matthew!
Always a high compliment coming from you Ross.
Nice sounding amp sweet cleans and the overdrive is like warm pie. Ummmm good
Looks like a modded deluxe reverb🤘💜 sounds good.
Dumbles are fender based with a good overdrive!! Also they are specifically voiced for guitar. Old fenders were voiced as PA,s in one box. The whole band used to plug in.
I figured someone beat me to it. I think Dumble was trying to get a sound he heard Robben Ford getting from a bassman.
actually it's a P V Classic Thirty Circuit with mods
@@joanstone6740 yes. That's kind of the circuit. But Robben has stated that the sound Alexander wanted to copy came from his bassman. I never claimed it was a fender circuit.
It's all good in the hood wood@@richardclark.
I think it sounds pretty AWESOME!!!
The P90s work best with it I think. I'd love to hear the SSS type amp too. Hopefully you can try one out.
I hear a rumble from that Dumble. Makes 'em crumble! Take a tumble! Gotta bumble! Peace!
Still kills me when I see Mathew play that Goodwill Jr Special, I was watching it but I didn't bid on it. Glad it ended up with him so it will actually be played instead of sitting in a case of some CEO's collection.
How much did it go for?
I don't exactly remember, it was in really bad shape though so it wasn't a crazy number@@Krollz89
Great amp made even better by a great player!
a C H O N K Y ' E D blackface fender is how it sounds to me
Someone should tell the fender that blackface is no longer acceptable in today’s society.

Tell that to the thousands of the biggest top players.
They'll always be around.
Sounds great Matthew, changing it up once in a while can spark new/different inspirations.
As for the amplifiers sound, pretty great.
Anytime that much attention to detail during design and build almost always results in a special amplifier.
EDIT: than amp gets along nicely with those P90s. 👍 😉
Sounds incredible, unbelievable.
Sounds awesome 🎸🎸🤘🏻🤘🏻
I much prefer the Strat through a Fender amp, but you always manage to make everything sound good.
sounds incredible!
Mathew, your are the best pure player on you tube there's allot of great pickers on you tube but nobody has your mojo, you have your own style , you dont try to be a great player but you are, im not blowing smoke man but i cant think of anybody that deserves a real dumble more than you but beleive me you dont need it to make anything better because you make the amps sound good not the other way around, and just fyi im a 61 year old guitar player and have played your style of music for 45 years with mediocre success .
I think it's great that you're branching out, and your familiarity with old Fender Amps and tone should serve you well. I hope you spend time focusing on Cab design and Speaker make, model, and Frequency Response Specs, as that is a critical area that is often overlooked.
That les Paul sounds amazing in your hands
Sounded absolutely stellar with the Strat. I like it. To my amateur ears it has a rounded higher level compressed kinda overdrive
Please never stop uploading❤️
Dude your playing is outstanding 👏
The vintage fender have a bottom end that is so hard to get with newer amps, dont know if it comes with age but super reverbs always have the best tone to my ears. I would love to hear you play a Two rock and hear your thoughts on it maybe in the future
Awe my friend you got to try a Classic Reverb Signature or a sterling there SSS 004 circuit. I’m lucky enough to own a couple two rocks amps & one of Taylor’s ODR circuits at AN. All I can say is that after playing strictly old fenders they quite literally don’t compare to any of the Two Rocks I now own. Particularly the Classic Reverb it’s very much like a super reverb but just so much more more… full bodied, more tactile, more responsive, way less sag, & just a larger frequency range. But like you said I’d love to hear Matt through a Classic Reverb since that’s literally two Rocks most black faced based amp besides the new Vintage Deluxe they’ve put out. I think he would be like Jesse Davey & once he got his hands on a CSR he wouldn’t want to use anything else. Plus TRs pair quite well with fenders
I would love to try one one day soon! I know everyone has their amp settings different and its all subjective so ive always wanted to know how i can make it sound.I tend to love bottom end with my EQ finding a silhouette of Jessica Rabbit but I feel like an amp is like finding a partner even though it might be a great person they might not great for you so its all about finding what pairs best. Hopefully this leads to me even hearing amps i dont know about and learning more. Best part of content like this is opening up the questions and starting your own "i should try that out myself" moments. @@keithremedy
@@keithremedyGreat answer man. I’m thinking about pulling the trigger on an AN Wonderland OD. As far as general quality of time and dynamics, would you say there’s any major differences between your Two Rocks and Amplified Nation amps? Thanks
Amazing!
Sounds great to me awesome playing.
Kick Ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!
The amp and your playing!!!!!!!!!!!!
The new Marshall Studio JTM i think is the best 'modern' amp on the market at the moment and it sounds absolutely fantastic with that true British sound! Fender do that American sound so so well tho.
Sounded great bro🤘
