I hear you, when you’re still starting out of course you’ll have to experiment with quite a few things but my biggest cheat code for you would be: 1. Once you find something that works, stick to it, don’t be tempted to change things out all the time. 2. The products that have the most natural ingredients in them have a higher chance of actually working so research is key. In no time you’ll be comfortable with your fav products and routine ❤️💃🏽🫶🏽
I appreciate you for being here hun ❤️ I’m so proud of you 🥰 awareness is everything. Sometimes if you’re still interested in the product you can research each ingredient and most of the time it will further confirm, why you were hesitant 😬 They can’t fool us now, we know better 🤞🏾
Thanks hun. This has been amazing help. I've never had a problem with hair except that it's hard and painful to comb. Otherwise I pretty much have a lion's mane on my head. Lately life has lifed hard, my hair has been thinning and edges are receding. I pretty much keep my hair in a protective style for 4 to 6 months at a time. Recently though even that's not helping the thinning. I'm hoping to get my hair back on track.
Exactly, this is the smart thinking that’s needed over the years. Our natural hair journeys don’t have to be frustrating or expensive. ❤️ What a valid point, thank you hun 🙏🏾
Personally that combo doesn’t work for me but you’re right, so many people swear by it. 🫶🏽 It’s yet another combo that proves how easy and inexpensive our hair can be 🥰❤️

True about the conditioner, some yrs ago there was a girl on YT that had waist length hair and she said if you can find a good contioner, you can add some water and use it as a leave in then add oil on top because they tend to leave hair ashy, I've been doing it for yrs, i do it on my kids hair too to refresh their curls, works great

Thank you so much my sister. Me and my little 6 year girl are both natural but we don't really retain length though density . I'm struggling to get a hair salon that can trim our split ends as most of the salons we go to dont know how to trim natural hair. I also use a tea spray on our hair which i make with natural herbs ❤ and than i seal it with Auntie Jackie's leave in conditioner and with an oil or hair grease ( hair food ). It's true what you mention about coconut oil , it makes my hair hard but it's very good for dandruff. I used it since my grandma introduce me to it when I was a little girl but with the years it just doesn't work with me anymore.
Hey hun, we can’t do much about density but we can always do something about length and health. Please don’t give up, cutting your own ends is easy, please watch this short: (of course please use hair scissors) ua-cam.com/users/shortsXK-QjqFDalo?feature=share This is how I have been cutting my own ends for years. I can’t wait to be hearing about how well you and your daughter’s hair has improved from these tips. ❤️🥰 Have a good weekend ✨
I've also been using Organic for years and still love it. I agree with you on using the conditioner as a deep conditioner, I add honey and olive oil to it. 🥰
Oh you’re already using one of the best combos out there ❤️🔥 I hope all goes well with the other ones you’re going to try, I’m especially excited about you trying castor oil 🙌🏾💃🏽
Thank you so much. Finally someone with my hair type. This was indeed helpful esp for me starting this hair growing journey. l got it " simplicity is key". I'm so grateful l came across your video just in time🙏💃💃💃
Hi. Zee thank you for great content. Thank you for the clarity on the many uses off regular conditioner. Will try it out using the tresemee. Thanks again
Thank you hun ❤️ It’s important that people should know how simple our haircare can be, especially because we get a bad rep for having haircare that’s expensive and hair that’s high maintenance
I use only natural herbs, shampoo, deep conditioner and leave in conditioner. So far my hair is looking really good and healthy and I’m able to retain length. But I want to get my hair more fuller like yours
Olive oil has become sooo expensive. Love it but the price soo too much. Castor oil, Shea Butter and Chebe Butter are really good and last long long. Aunt Jackie Quench is jands down the best leave in, really keeps hair moisturised and soft for days.
Yes that Olive oil can be tricky but it’s still one of my personal favourites. Oh I tried Chebe for the first time and I’m in love 🥰 Can’t wait to share that video. I think you and I have similar hair product cupboards; and I love that for us 😁🥹❤️ Your hair is so lucky to have you and vice versa 🫶🏽
A normal conditioner cannot be like a deep conditioner because the molecules in a deep conditioner are smaller so they can penetrate the hair shaft whereas a regular rinse out conditioner isn’t small enough to penetrate the hair shaft and only coats the hair. So mixing oils into a conditioner doesn’t make a deep conditioner. If the oils you use can’t penetrate the hair shaft it’s just products sitting on your hair and then being washed off.
I hear you but I disagree. The base of a deep conditioner is the formulation of a basic conditioner. As far as oils go - natural organic oils are different and offer a variety of properties but there are definitely many oils that penetrate the hair shaft and are able to condition the hair, they don’t just sit on the hair. I am not a chemist and I haven’t looked into the molecular biology behind all of this but from a formulation standpoint - we wouldn’t be able to have the deep conditioner if it wasn’t for the basic conditioner.
@@zinhle.africa I replied and then my comment disappeared. How strange. In a nutshell I said that ingredients can be very similar in a rinse out conditioner and a deep conditioner but what makes it a deep conditioner is that the molecular structure is smaller in deep conditioners allowing for it to enter the hair shaft. Adding oils cannot carry the regular conditioner into the hair shaft if too big to penetrate. I also did say that the oils need to be able to penetrate the shaft, not all oils do, so adding any oil to a rinse out conditioner doesn’t create a deep conditioner, it creates an oilier conditioner. I have studied advanced chemistry so do have a decent knowledge base, but am not a cosmetic scientist but do have an interest in the field. Thanks for replying to my comment.
Hmm…I hear you, adding to a basic conditioner doesn’t make it a deep conditioner. I’ve done it many times and it always softens the hair beautifully but with what you’re saying there could be a limitation there because it just isn’t as penetrating as a deep conditioner. I’ll keep that in mind in future videos, thank you.
@@zinhle.africa my comment did not go through, but the second half of what I said is this... (UA-cam glitch. I will continue) .... I have used it in this way and it has worked for my hair. Ladies with long healthy hair such as yourself have suggested this to me and i tried it. I just use oils that i know will penetrate my hair shaft, but it is what works for my hair, so I understand that it works even though it may not be systematically correct in terms of chemistry. Thank you!! 🤗
Hello. I am a young girl who grew up with relaxed hair. I stoped with relaxer earlier this year. I did not cut but I do want to transition into natural hair. My hair has started to harden but my little knowledge has led to me discarding it and not knowing HOW to move from here in terms of taking care of it. This was informative and I am camping here.
Hi Zee its my first time here thanks for the informative video ❤ you reminded me of the products that worked like magic back in the days. Sunlight bar soap, caster oil and soft n free👌
If your really strapped, you have herbs and Water and oil , you can make your own shampoo using a tiny amount of soap…. Not sure about conditioner.. something with a tiny amount of vinegar …
I hear you and definitely valid. Personally for me, my hair is prone to dryness so I always need things that pack a punch even if I’m on a budget, so I can’t live without a nice thick butter and a foamy shampoo
This time, your hair will grow back even better, just watch ❤️🥰🙏🏾 Just remember it’s not supposed to overwhelming but rather enjoyable through lots of moisturising and care ✨
Yes! I know what you men sister, and I love it! Thanks for the encouragement regarding our body (scalp and hair), and everything you've said is received ❤❤❤. Your smile is so beautiful and I love those white teeth! Maybe you can share about what products you use for it? Even if not, you've done more than enough❤. Thank you for helping us along our hair journey 😊 The Lord continue to bless you in all you do 🙏🏾🕊🥰
Thank you for your kind words 🥰 I appreciate you taking the time to share such beautiful energy. Lol I’ll make sure to share on more of my selfcare routines ☺️ Lots of blessings to you beautiful ❤️✨🙏🏾
Hey hun, I have a few videos on that especially these: NEW HAIR GROWTH CHALLENGE : 6 Month Mini Braids Routine ua-cam.com/video/5Z56AsSmtbw/v-deo.html Monthly, Weekly and Daily Hair Routine ua-cam.com/video/hEWJoVi_gfY/v-deo.html
Thank you so much for the knowledge you’ve shared. All I need from you to help me with is to list for me what I can use in detail, budget for me is not a problem. Please🙏🙏🙏🙏
Don’t relax your hair out of frustration, rather take some time to understand your hair and you will start to see it respond back positively to you ☺️ Of course I don’t recommend relaxers because of many reasons, it has weakened your hair so much. If your hair was fully natural I would recommend that you prioritise water in your routine and do this to get back to health: ua-cam.com/video/1a7425AvLu8/v-deo.html Personally I don’t think you need a relaxer, you have beautiful hair that just needs you to put some love on it ❤️ If the relaxers aren’t working maybe give a natural hair journey a try 🥹🤷🏽♀️
Thank you so much for this insight. Please, for how long do you recommend protective styles to be kept. Normally I take off mine every 2weeks. And how do you recommend the use of black soap for washing. Should I add some herbs and oils to it to reduce harshness? Thank you
Hey hun, please try keeping your protective styles for at least a month, the longer you go without manipulating the hair, the longer and sometimes even thicker your hair will be than if you did otherwise. The next video coming is an African black soap washday, I’ll explain everything there. Stay tuned ❤️
I wouldn’t recommend it because of the ingredients and because I have never tried them BUT they are affordable and they are a good option to at least try and see how your hair reacts. Overall, they are affordable and are considered to be good products - especially when on a budget
You nailed it sis. Simplicity is key. Where can I get the Shea butter? I stay in South Africa, Gauteng, Vereeniging, Sebokeng lol. I've been wishing to use Shea butter on my 6 year old, bellow bust (I'm a 34B bra size) hair but there's no luck. Where can I purchase? Please assist.
Hey hun, thank you ❤️ Please look in the description box for links. I buy my Shea butter from Takealot and recently even Clicks has 100% Shea butter 💃🏽
Water is the best moustrizer oil is not a moustrizer oil seal in the moisture in your hair while your is damp place on your middle and ends to stop breakage if your on a budget you could use Vaseline oil do not make your grow oils stop breaking which will make your grow
They used to say that but water in it’s basic form is a hydrator. There are some natural hydrators that also moisturise like aloe water, okra water/gel, etc. Yes some people like grease or Vaseline, after their moisturiser and water but natural oils are also a good option, my personal preference 🫶🏽
Water is not a moisturizer, it’s a hydrator. It hydrates the hair allowing products to sink in. If putting just water on your hair, can dry out your hair later. Instead make use of your leave in conditioner to moisturize, then apply oil on your hair strands and on your scalp, before you use your leave in to moisturize. Or use aloe water to moisturize but water alone does not moisturize, it only hydrates your hair which is still very good
Hey hun, I’m not a chemistry professional but from what I understand, in a nutshell. A leave in conditioner contains most of the ingredients of a conditioner but it’s usually more of a runny consistency and it’s intended to not be rinsed out. A moisturiser has moisturising and hydrating ingredients, with a runny to creamy consistency, meant to be applied and not rinsed out. They are both verrrrrrrrry similar and in my opinion pretty much the same thing, so you can choose which one to use to as your moisturiser. Hope this helps 🫶🏽
Yes of course, whenever it needs to be washed, I always go for it. 🫶🏽 Whether it’s in a protective style or my hair is out, I will ALWAYS wash it once or twice a month.
Thank you so much for these tips, very well appreciated. Please, how do you moisturize when you have a protective style already on? Or is there no need for that until you remove the protective style?
It’s a pleasure hun ❤️ Yes it’s very important to moisturise even when you have a protective hairstyle in. If you think some of your products are too thick you can dilute them a little bit with water and spray them in or just use a braid spray. Either way, as long as you find a way that works for you. When you moisturise your protective style, you will experience less breakage and even shedding when you take the style out.
Thank you so much for this!you are God sent. Any thoughts on glycerine & water mix? I started using it almost two months ago, not complaining but since I just started growing my natural hair ( by myself 😅)i find that it is ridiculously dry & shed so bad whenever I detangle, wash, comb. Thank you
Only use glycerine in warmer months because its a humactant. In dry seasons the air takes the moisture away from the glycerine and keeps your hair dry. If you use it in winter...make sure you seal with a thick cream. Not oil moisturizer
Unless it’s a hair growth oil, natural hair will tell you immediately when it loves or hates a new change you make. You can give it a chance the first time, and maybe even the second time but after that, if it’s not working leave it. Glycerine is amazing for the hair, but a little goes a long way, adding too much can be harmful sometimes - it’s all about formulation. A better option to try if you’re still a beginner is honey, but not in your spray bottle rather in your moisturiser
What about low porosity hair, would you recommend sweet almond and lavender oil for the scalp and grape seed for the hair? Castor oil is heavy for my hair.
The more you get to know your hair the more you’ll know which oils work best for you. This is when you might start getting into making an oil mix, which I would advise you to include castor oil. I’m planning on making a hair porosity video so I can explain in detail but I also have low porosity hair. If an oil is too thick just mix it in with your other lighter fav oils.
Yes, in fact I dust my ends every 6 months. You can't have healthy hair, without healthy ends. I recently trimmed in this video: Okra Shampoo + Hair Trim ua-cam.com/video/lwcRQL2fHW4/v-deo.html
I'm so confused by the "natural hair is too expensive and takes too much time" conversation cos for me, natural hair has always been the cheapest option. I went natural cos I couldnt afford the constant touch ups for relaxed hair and was tired of wasting my life in the salon.
Exactly, I couldn’t agree more and in the long term, having natural hair is a better investment towards your overall health and wellbeing 🫶🏽✨ If it wasn’t for the broke days we wouldn’t have learnt all that we know today ❤️
On the topic of ingredients would you recommend a person who has high porosity hair to use Aunty Jackies Aloe and Mint -Hydrate Me leave in conditioner? I saw another creator talk about it😅 but I’d appreciate your opinion.✨
Hey hun, when we’re talking about porosity the most important thing is HOW we moisturise more than WHAT we use, so I’m not sure how you prefer to moisturise your high porosity hair. However I have noticed that high porosity hair loves light to medium consistency products, so if it has a runny consistency and they have included some natural oils in there - of course give it a try and see ☺️ Always research and then if you’re still keen - try it out. You hair has the final say 🫶🏽☺️
I generally use the LOC method. And I find myself having to moisturise my hair twice a week. I’ve been trying out Rosemary water for a month and a half now. I’m still yet to see a difference 😅 but anyway thank you….🙏🏽 I’ll do more research on it and other products that I could possibly use✨💞🥰
Hi I love your videos so much, they are so informative. Im in South Africa and I'm struggling to buy natural shea buttter and black soap, do you by any chance know where I can purchase these products?
Hey hun, thank you ❤️ I appreciate you so much. The best place is Takealot or Amazon because you have options. You can find 100% Shea butter at Clicks, it’s usually called ‘Kuza’ There are also Health / Wellness Shops that sell black soap and Shea butter
It’s good to wash once a month and deep condition weekly. It’s a great place to start and then as times goes on, just pay attention to what your hair needs and adjust accordingly ❤️
Lol sorry hun, that’s how it naturally smells, it’s a subtle smell but it may not be everyones preferred smell. So you can add any of your favourite essential oils to give it a more pleasant smell like lavender, peppermint, etc 🫶🏽
Yes of course, how often you moisturise depends on your hair. Pay close attention to how it responds when you make a change and you will soon build a routine unique to you ❤️🙌🏾
Prioritising the hydration in your hair routine will take you so far. Natural Hair is nothing without water. Hydration comes first, then moisture follows ✨ This is why a lot of our favourite products have water/aqua as the first ingredient
Hey hun, I’m planning on doing short reviews on these popular brands… I have never used MPL because of the ingredients that they use, 🫣😭. They are okay but not the best 🤷🏽♀️
Hi my child, please help me, my hair is thinning to nothing. I had lot of hair on my head. What can i do to get back to its originate. Consider im becoming grey as well
Hello my Queen ❤️ I’ll be posting a video specifically on hair shedding (hopefully in less than 2 weeks) where I can give you all the full details on this. Please stay tuned 🙏🏾 Stress, aging and other factors can be the cause but it doesn’t mean that there’s nothing we can do to improve it 🫶🏽

@@LeilaVividSounds Pardon the UA-cam glitch, I also have trouble replying back sometimes. I appreciate your insight 🙏🏾
Thanks Zee❤much love ❤
You are so welcome hun! 🥰 Thanks for watching 🙏🏾
Hi Zee its my first time here thanks for the informative video ❤ you reminded me of the products that worked like magic back in the days. Sunlight bar soap, caster oil and soft n free👌
Hey hun, I appreciate you for being here ❤️ What a beautiful combo, it got us through so many years, for sure 🥹🥰🫶🏽 R100 and we were sorted 😅
Hey
Thank you so much for the tips
Thank you for watching gorgeous 🥹❤️💃🏽
I mean....preach sis. I am taing notes. Ive just chopped off my hair to grow it back healthy.
This time, your hair will grow back even better, just watch ❤️🥰🙏🏾 Just remember it’s not supposed to overwhelming but rather enjoyable through lots of moisturising and care ✨
I use a green bar when I want my hair totally clean of oils etc.
It’s the undisputed champion 🙌🏾 makes sense ☺️
You don't apply any champoo ,just sunlight bar?
Thank you so much for the knowledge you’ve shared. All I need from you to help me with is to list for me what I can use in detail, budget for me is not a problem. Please🙏🙏🙏🙏
I hear you hun, I’ll make sure to do a video on that soon 🫶🏽💃🏽✨
My natural hair stress me a lot😢 and when I relax my hair it becomes natural after two weeks max. I don't know the kind of hair I have
Don’t relax your hair out of frustration, rather take some time to understand your hair and you will start to see it respond back positively to you ☺️
Of course I don’t recommend relaxers because of many reasons, it has weakened your hair so much. If your hair was fully natural I would recommend that you prioritise water in your routine and do this to get back to health:
ua-cam.com/video/1a7425AvLu8/v-deo.html
Personally I don’t think you need a relaxer, you have beautiful hair that just needs you to put some love on it ❤️ If the relaxers aren’t working maybe give a natural hair journey a try 🥹🤷🏽♀️
Hey,,, how often do you use to trim your hair? I love your advice and thanks for encouragement.
Hey hun, thank you ❤️ I trim (dust) every 6 months, so twice a year
@zinhle.africa Thank you so much for responding ❤️ i really appreciate your good job you are doing. Keep it up
The song though 😂😂😂
Lol it’s the only one that truly describes my struggles back then hey😅😂😂😂
How does the product MPL react to natural, can you recommend it?
I wouldn’t recommend it because of the ingredients and because I have never tried them BUT they are affordable and they are a good option to at least try and see how your hair reacts.
Overall, they are affordable and are considered to be good products - especially when on a budget
@zinhle.africa thank you
You nailed it sis.
@zinhle.africa thank you so much, will do check 🤗🥰
Or use aloe water to moisturize but water alone does not moisturize, it only hydrates your hair which is still very good
Hi dear.
I have a question, is moisturizer the same as a leave in conditioner? Do they function same?
Hey hun, I’m not a chemistry professional but from what I understand, in a nutshell.
A leave in conditioner contains most of the ingredients of a conditioner but it’s usually more of a runny consistency and it’s intended to not be rinsed out.
A moisturiser has moisturising and hydrating ingredients, with a runny to creamy consistency, meant to be applied and not rinsed out.
They are both verrrrrrrrry similar and in my opinion pretty much the same thing, so you can choose which one to use to as your moisturiser. Hope this helps 🫶🏽
Thank you for sharing.sifunda everyday.
Thank you for watching hun ❤️ Izinto mazibe lula nje ngoba sesifundile 🫶🏽
15:53 Thank you mama❤
Do you wash your scalp in between protective hair styling?
Yes of course, whenever it needs to be washed, I always go for it. 🫶🏽
Whether it’s in a protective style or my hair is out, I will ALWAYS wash it once or twice a month.
Thank you
Glycerine also makes my hair dry like a steel wool 😂hence i stopped using it
Only use glycerine in warmer months because its a humactant.
That’s a great tip, thank you for this, I agree 🙏🏾
That’s fine hun ❤️ maybe look into already made products with honey or glycerin
What about low porosity hair, would you recommend sweet almond and lavender oil for the scalp and grape seed for the hair? Castor oil is heavy for my hair.
The more you get to know your hair the more you’ll know which oils work best for you. This is when you might start getting into making an oil mix, which I would advise you to include castor oil.
I’m planning on making a hair porosity video so I can explain in detail but I also have low porosity hair. If an oil is too thick just mix it in with your other lighter fav oils.
That's what I do. Mixed oils but I still favor my Olive oil 👍🏾
Thank you
I've a question do you trim your ends? Is it effective
Yes, in fact I dust my ends every 6 months.
You can't have healthy hair, without healthy ends. I recently trimmed in this video:
Okra Shampoo + Hair Trim

Hello. Learning so much from you. If i infuse my olive oil with rosemary herbs can I use it on my scalp? Thank you!
Yes of course. I shared a similar recipe in this video: ua-cam.com/video/6MBCu0vQa7I/v-deo.html
@zinhle.africa thank you!
Is African Black Soap a good shampoo for natural hair in the long run?
I definitely think so, the more natural the better and this shampoo proves that. 👌🏾✨
The bar alone was too harsh for me but the shampoo is something I will always use personally for years to come ☺️
What do you for your teeth i love that pure white colour ot it
You are Beautiful
Thank you hun ☺️🙏🏾
I'm so confused by the "natural hair is too expensive and takes too much time" conversation cos for me, natural hair has always been the cheapest option. I went natural cos I couldnt afford the constant touch ups for relaxed hair and was tired of wasting my life in the salon.
Exactly, I couldn’t agree more and in the long term, having natural hair is a better investment towards your overall health and wellbeing 🫶🏽✨ If it wasn’t for the broke days we wouldn’t have learnt all that we know today ❤️
Thank you very much
Thank you for watching hun ❤️🥰🙏🏾
Very good topic
Thanks hun, it’s underrated but so important 🙏🏾 Our hair doesn’t have to be challenging 🫶🏽
Iove your products .if i use those products will mu hairline come back again
I always recommend castor oil, and watching this video:
ua-cam.com/video/lpJVWq43QFQ/v-deo.html
On the topic of ingredients would you recommend a person who has high porosity hair to use Aunty Jackies Aloe and Mint -Hydrate Me leave in conditioner? I saw another creator talk about it😅 but I’d appreciate your opinion.✨
Hey hun, when we’re talking about porosity the most important thing is HOW we moisturise more than WHAT we use, so I’m not sure how you prefer to moisturise your high porosity hair.
However I have noticed that high porosity hair loves light to medium consistency products, so if it has a runny consistency and they have included some natural oils in there - of course give it a try and see ☺️
Always research and then if you’re still keen - try it out.
Hi
I love your videos so much, they are so informative. Im in South Africa and I'm struggling to buy natural shea buttter and black soap, do you by any chance know where I can purchase these products?
Hey hun, thank you ❤️ I appreciate you so much. The best place is Takealot or Amazon because you have options. You can find 100% Shea butter at Clicks, it’s usually called ‘Kuza’
There are also Health / Wellness Shops that sell black soap and Shea butter
Please also look through the links in my description box for these products 🫶🏽
Thanks ❤
Thanks for watching Queen ❤️
Soo you said we can mix conditioner with oil to make a leave in conditioner right??
Yes but only for a month or 2, it works but it’s definitely for when times are really tough.
I want my hair be soft and lengthen
What can i do
First focus on doing the right protective hairstyle and moisturising
How many times a month should I shampoo and condition my hair?
It’s good to wash once a month and deep condition weekly.
It’s a great place to start and then as times goes on, just pay attention to what your hair needs and adjust accordingly ❤️

You guys i bought shea butter and it smells bad. Is it supposed to smell that way? Someone please respond. It smells like animal fat??
Lol sorry hun, that’s how it naturally smells, it’s a subtle smell but it may not be everyones preferred smell.
So you can add any of your favourite essential oils to give it a more pleasant smell like lavender, peppermint, etc 🫶🏽
Pls my hair is very think , any time I go to the salon they just comb it any how without considering everyone hair texture.
Sorry about that hun, I have a video that will be helping you out on this (salon culture) , coming out this week 🫶🏽✨
About the moisturizer you forgot about dark and lovely 😅
I haven’t used that one but you’re right around that same price they are all quite similar 🫶🏽
✋ high five😊
Can I use my leave in conditioner everyday as a moisturizer?
Yes of course, how often you moisturise depends on your hair. Pay close attention to how it responds when you make a change and you will soon build a routine unique to you ❤️🙌🏾
Girl, where do you purchase your black soap coz child what I find is nonsense
I get mine from Takealot- but make sure it’s actually shades of brown, if it doesn’t look like mine, don’t buy it 🤍🙏🏾
Hi zinh, hope is all well.
What do you mean water in my hair as a routine? Tell me.
Prioritising the hydration in your hair routine will take you so far. Natural Hair is nothing without water.
Hydration comes first, then moisture follows ✨
This is why a lot of our favourite products have water/aqua as the first ingredient
I just bought mpl today, what do you think about it?
