New subscriber. I have afro so does my son and daughter. I want to learn how to take care of their hair
Stop it Zinhle :) :) i procrastinate like crweizy to detangle my hair :(
I did mine😊 so beautiful and easy to rub on the hair😊
how do you attach it though
Zinhle i love your accent. I've heard it before. I had no idea it was one of South African regions accent and not the girl having a sexy voice. ❤❤❤❤❤❤
The thick faux loc😭😭😭😭😭Bro no. And it's tight and heavy. I did the Riri locs and the were just above my bum. Babes my hair gree becuase i washed the protective style and moisturized as though it was my real hair. That lil girl. I pray for her edges.
Your braids look amazing.❤ I wish i could say the same about my noodle lookin short braids😢. This challenge is going to be challenging
2:15 natural hair loves natural things
How does the product MPL react to natural, can you recommend it?
I wouldn’t recommend it because of the ingredients and because I have never tried them BUT they are affordable and they are a good option to at least try and see how your hair reacts. Overall, they are affordable and are considered to be good products - especially when on a budget
@zinhle.africa thank you
Wow thank you Zinhle this is very informative ❤
And it didn’t tangle up or anything?
Nope, it was great 👌🏾
Now this my favorite soap. I guess i am giving this a try.
Please do, you’ll love it 😍
You Gliw Girl 😂
Lol thanks hun ☺️
19:00 I agree with this too. I just took out a long term braiding style with extensions. BUT, during that time I really took care of my hair. I still washed and conditioned it every 2 weeks to a month and I recently just took them out about two days ago. And the results of my hair is lucious! Very thick and it grew sooo much and it’s so healthy.
Well done hun 👏🏾❤️✨ You did so well by not neglecting your hair even in a protective style. Keep doing amazing 💃🏽🫶🏽
6:54 I agree with all of this. And at this point, I feel like there is no reason that us natural kinky coily girlies should still be struggling with our natural hair when there is sooooo much information out there and still information being publicized every day on how to care for our coils. Natural hair is not at all hard to manage and it honestly just made me mad to see them combing their dry hair like that! And to start from the roots to the ends and try to force it through is crazy, when we have known for YEEAARRSS that you start from the ends up to the roots! *Sigh* 🙄
Yes, I totally agree ❤️ We can be doing so much better, just by understanding the basics of natural hair. There’s just this disconnect that has to be addressed, for progress to continue - it’s not a lack of information but limitations around who we believe we are. Sometimes we don’t look for the information because we don’t even believe that this can be easy or even manageable
Pls my hair is very think , any time I go to the salon they just comb it any how without considering everyone hair texture.
Sorry about that hun, I have a video that will be helping you out on this (salon culture) , coming out this week 🫶🏽✨
I started my challenge in October so I’m almost at the 2month mark. I think I’ll start documenting my journey as well and will be following this one. The longest I’ve gone is 5months. I cut my hair in August so the goal now is to work my way back to waist length.
I remember you mentioning that on Instagram if I’m not mistaken and I said something like ‘absolute respect 🫡 please teach us your ways’ 😁 I still haven’t kept mine in for more than 3 months 😅 It’s not a joke this thing lol. This is one of the healthiest ways to see major progress in length and there’s something really special about doing a hair growth challenge after a fresh cut. As always I’m really excited for you 💃🏽 You’re doing amazing and yes, please document always. 🫶🏽 Let’s stay motivated ❤️✨
This video was very easy to understand. I am struggling to grow my hair it’s been neck length for years due to heat damage and I find this very helpful
I’m so happy to hear it ❤️ I’m confident that these tips will show you progress 💃🏽✨ I hope you have tried to stay away from the heat and cut off the heat damage 🙏🏾
Oh I enjoyed this video. Please do more reaction videos.
Anything for you sthandwa sam’ 💃🏽more coming very soon 😍
Gots to be glue is a hairspray it’s like spritz so it’s not great for hair health but it is also not an adhesive it’s simply a strong hold hairspray. So she will be fine she can wash gots to be glue out with shampoo or just hot water
That’s what I was just about to comment. She will be just fine with running water over it. It will come right out.
I hear you, I guess it could’ve been a lot worse but it still made my stomach turn - that poor scalp is suffocating 🥺
From 2019 I cut off the relax mix natural hair - for some hair dress to sneakily relax in 2024 when just went in for a trim and press 😢I miss my natural curls
I’m so sorry 😭 If someone did that to me, I would make sure the law dealt with them!!!😤🤺 This was such a violation, you didn’t deserve such, especially in 2024! 😡 I heard that this happened to a lot of people years ago and it was one of the reasons I stay away from salons. You can always come back to natural hair but this time do your own hair more often and then research and find a stylist that you can trust - it would help to go to a salon that’s accredited and has a good reputation especially in natural haircare, just to be careful. I’m sending you lots of love and lots of hugs ❤️😍🥰 You have handled this way better than I ever could have, I hope your hair recovers from this better and faster than expected 🙏🏾
“Now you’ve glued your hair in place” 😂😂😂😂 idk why that comment took me out.
Lol If we don’t laugh, we’ll be crying because there’s no way! Send help 🤣
You have lovely hair! Please how are you able to stop buildup from occuring? I still happen to have it even when i wash my hair in mini braids.
Do your best to keep your hair clean and moisturised but even a little bit of product/lint buildup will happen. You can wash your braids once a month on even every week to see if it will be better for you but It’s okay to see a little bit of buildup (sometimes it’s also about the products you’re using), don’t worry too much 🫶🏽✨
Thank you
You are most welcome hun ❤️
One day I took a taxi to Braamfontein to braai my hair, it was the last time I used relaxer that was 2015. I will never forget that day I felt like someone lit a cotton wool on my skull. Yo 😢😢😢😢
I'm so confused by the "natural hair is too expensive and takes too much time" conversation cos for me, natural hair has always been the cheapest option. I went natural cos I couldnt afford the constant touch ups for relaxed hair and was tired of wasting my life in the salon.
Exactly, I couldn’t agree more and in the long term, having natural hair is a better investment towards your overall health and wellbeing 🫶🏽✨ If it wasn’t for the broke days we wouldn’t have learnt all that we know today ❤️
IT IS AN EXCUSE FOR THOSE THAT WANT THE CREAMY CRACK THEY ARE ADDICTED TO IT LIKE PEOPLE ADDICTED TO HAIR COLOR THE WHITE GUY IN THE BLACK IS BALD HEADED AND NASTY
Can u please make us an updated version of the products you use on wash days (taking down protective after long period of time and weekly moistirizing) 🙏🙏😭😭😭
imy hair Sis is it ok to use ACV rinse on the scalp with a cotton ball to clean it?
I’m just concerned with why you’re doing it and how you’re doing it. Is it not an option to wash it first and then do a rinse for the hair and scalp afterwards. 🤔 What’s your main concern, is it dandruff?
@@zinhle.africa when i dont want to wash my hair i can clean my scalp with ACV. with a cotton cloth.i saw in some videos.thank you
Nice video sis👌 but i was thinking that if I've some one add attachment to the hair its make its looks different.😮 And i was thinking of using attachment for the first time, sis can u advice me on what to use? Ive been natural hair since 2year and, but I've not use attachment on it, although i tried kinky twist but iys didn't work, i itchy all true the week so i took it off, since then I've not think of any other hair style 😮😮 pls can u help!?
DO FULANI BRAIDS
@NeeloManale ok thanks with attachment right?
I can't believe I also used to do some of these things happening here especially braiding a hairstyle for a month not washing my hair during that period and relying on hairstylist for the health of my hair Hehe😂 I'm laughing but it's not funny especially the part where they fry my hair with hair dryer😭. There's this stylist who used to braid my hair dry with a gel😭😭😭looking back now yoh they really messed up my hair. But yeah we move
I CAN RELATE
Can I use Shea butter for my hair daily
Yes of course, and then when you seal it with your favourite oil it will help to retain moisture (keep it moisturised for longer)
Did she just cut off her hairline? Hairline that I would kill for😢
If only she knows the struggle😢
I HAVE BEEN FOR YEARS TO GROW MY HAIRLINE
I thought my eyes was tripping 😂
Your hair and his hair are not the same texture
She did allude to that by saying, "some people are lucky to just detangle their hair with water".
Don't stop with reaction videos 😅😅❤❤
Lol I was just trying something new but if you like it, I love it 🥰…the next one is definitely coming 💃🏽🫶🏽
My friend and I used Chebe powder for years without seeing any difference.
Oh no I wonder why??? but when you use something new and you don’t see progress especially after 1 month, I don’t think you should continue using it. However because I know Chebe so well now, I think the issue was with something else in your hair routines or maybe the formulation of the overall product 🤔
Hello zinhle Sorry i want to ask...you dont use leave in conditioner and deep conditioner in this hair challenge??
Hey hun, I don’t because my butter is really that good and I’ll explain more on that soon but the hair challenge is about protective styling and doing what your hair loves the most. If there’s products and a routine that your hair loves, stick to that ❤️💃🏽 I deep conditioned for years, I know that it works, I’m just trying something new so don’t feel bad for sticking to your routine ✨❤️❤️❤️
@zinhle.africa thank you dear for reply . Now i understand is to do what your hair love. In recent days i give a try to not deep condition and not applying leave in conditioner because i was in shortage.. ooh the after washday was so difficult to me....i was experience tangle even when i apply oil and butter . Maybe i do wrong? Yes, i would love you to make a video on how you maintain your hair without deep and leave in conditioner. Because there are some days i might be in shortage its a must to look for alternative.
I found you a week ago while I was contemplating whether or not continue with my bald girl era. I've just been giving up on my natural hair because it gets to a point where it just plateaus and I get frustrated and quit cut it. Mara since I found you BONA all faith has been restored. I wish you had been around in 2020 because wow I would have been far with my journey but alas we will do better now. Thank you for your time and effort of your videos. I LOVE you please.❤
Your intro drove me to subscribe to your channel😂
Lol welcome home hun ❤️ It’s been rough but we survived 😅😂😂😂
Kahleni bo, relaxer on locs😦??? Just when I thought I've seen it all 🙆♀️
Lol and then they say there’s nothing new under the sun ☀️ 😂
“ if you wanted to go bald , you should have picked a clipper “ 😭😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂💀💀💀💀💀 your facial expression while watching these videos are also priceless !!!!!
Lol I wanted her to respond back so badly😂 Thanks for watching hun 🫶🏽
Let the judgment begin !!!!!! I love it here lolol
Lol why are you like this?! 😍You passed the vibe check ✅💚
SORRY I COMMENTED TO MUCH
Never apologise hun, I talk too much as well, so we’re even 😅❤️ Love your energy 🥰
WATCHING FROM BOTSWANA
What a blessing ❤️🥰🙏🏾 Thank you for being here beautiful 💃🏽
The song though 😂😂😂
Lol it’s the only one that truly describes my struggles back then hey😅😂😂😂
RIGHT KNOW I HAVE CONDROWS TO THE BACK
Love a good protective hairstyle ❤️🥰
TRY BLM FOR HAIR DETANGLING IT IS A LEAVE IN CONDITIONER
I haven’t heard about that one before 🤔 Thanks for the recommendation 🫶🏽✨
You are the best. This video is educative.
Thank you hun ❤️ That means the world 🌍
I N EED ADVICE ON HOW TO MAKE MY HAIR THICK
Video coming very soon 💃🏽✨
@zinhle.africa please share your wisdom sister 🙏🏾
I TRIED NOT USING RELAXER FOR MY EDGES WHAT SHALL I DO
I WANT TO DO IT BECAUSE MY HAIRLINE LIKE BALLS OF HAIR IT LOOKS REALLY BAD CAUSE I HAVE A BIG FOREHEAD SO IT LOOKS SOOOOOOO BAD
Hey hun, so does that mean the rest of your hair, is natural? Honestly there was nothing wrong with your edges to begin with. You just needed to accept your texture even in your edges. Whether you want to ‘do your edges’ or not 🫶🏽
You are funny girl 😂😂😂
Kinky hair is cute..be nice to your baby hairs. Were not supposed to have straight baby hairs. We need to learn to love our hair as it is. It takes time but it's possible.
IT JUST LOOKS LIKE BALLS ON MY HAIR LINE
