Football punditry is the easiest job in the world….. see what nonsense everyone else is spewing out and repeat it word for word.
They weren’t interested in football. The team’s been rubbish for a decade and they weren’t bothered in the least, even as they were wasting billions. Which is why they needed financial support now, they were about to pay the price for their almost indiscriminate spending and squad management. I can’t speak for other pundits, but if you’ve been following this group for years this isn’t a 180 caused by following the herd. They’ve gone back and forth on United and on the Glazers, they’ve even disagreed with each other at times. It’s really just a result of how up and down it’s been for the club for a while now.
With all the changes on the board and management, let's see if some of these players will still behave on the pitch as if there is nobody to hold them accountable.
If it's the first step in making United into a title winning team, that's going to take some considerable time and i can only think of a handful of players (at best) that are good enough to be part of a title winning side. If the new structure is serious about the football side, practically the whole team will be replaced. Good for the supporters long term who are not getting value for money at the moment.
