I can eat WAAKYE 365 days in a year. It’s a super dish, so filling. When I eat WAAKYE in the morning takes me throughout the day and at night I take something light and I’m good for the day
Fun fact: Jollof rice is a dish from Senegal and became widespread in West African countries like Gambia, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Ghana, Nigeria, and even Cameroon. we can't compare Ghana's to Jollof that of Nigeria's because both countries prepare them differently and vice versa.
Yay!! Thanks for watching this! I wasn’t sure whether people would enjoy Ghanaian food or not bc of the unfamiliarity but more people should know about it!

It was the Yellof people of Senegal who make the best "jellof" theycall it. I cannot wait to taste the original. However , I love Ghanaian Jollof over Nigerian Jollof any day. I feel Nigerians add too many spices and cook with short rice or basmati that sometimes make it look dry. At the end of the day the taste depends on the cook , the cooking process and the spices added.

I had the previlage to try Nigerian and Ghanaian jollof rice. I enjoyed the ghanaian version better.

I’m Ghanaian but the peanut butter soup is too thick. When it’s thick like that, we eat it with rice balls instead of fufu. It delicious, nonetheless.
