Hi Adrian, Yes you can host the Domain Controller on the same host. But the issue is if the host goes down you will not be able to access the ESXi host with an AD account. The plan is to create Two Cluster of 14-14 nodes, need to enable HA and DRS, vmotion along with sVmotion. 5. I have to create a vDS at vcenter. All the servers will be connected to SAN switch physically. I have the basic knowledge but did not work on vDS and vSAN. Please look out if you could help or have some video which I could relate to.

Can I run AD in a VM inside a Host? I know that it works in Hyper-V. Or does AD have to be standalone on a PC in the same network ?
