This band live takes their work to a whole other level. I always LIKED them prior to seeing them. Having seen them live twice now...I LOVE this band. They are a perfect live act, everything you want your band to be.

Epic track for sure. The drummer drives this song to another genre but its so rhythmic it doesn't matter. Beautiful is all I can say.

I can't believe this Birdy cover vs. the original song debate is still going on. We saw it with Skinny Love and now Terrible Love (Suggestion #1, diversify your portfolio). The thing is though Birdy's voice does not fit the way these songs are meant to sound; essentially I think it's too pretty and doesn't quite give a sense of pain like that of Justin Vernon's or Matt Berninger's, which I think is such an essential part of what makes these songs phenomenal. Just an opinion but yeah, Birdy, stop messing with my favorite bands 🙃
Birdy's general music style is much slower and quieter and she makes the covers of Skinny Love and Terrible Love in her style. Which I think is fine, I really like her music and those covers, I must admit though that I heard her versions first and through that came to the original ones. But I can't listen to her every day, because it is SO quiet and melancholic, but I can listen to the National every day! And you are right the power and the pain in Matt's voice is incredible and no doubt the best thing I've ever heard. Also the National wrote the songs and they have a meaning to them, Birdy just covers them and doesn't associate the same feelings.
Yeah, she sounds like she's trying too hard to sound in pain or dramatic.

LOL, considering they are widely praised for being one of the best live bands you may have caught them on an off night....When they came to Philly I requested they announce that I could propose to my fiance before a certain song, they did it, it was awesome....Maybe their music doesn't fit your taste, but they are one of the best live bands out there
