Just curious
Good news!!!!!!!!!
Therefore repent and turn back, so that your sins may be wiped out, that seasons of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send Jesus, who has been appointed for you as the Messiah.
Acts 3:19-20 CSB
From then on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, because the kingdom of heaven has come near.”
Matthew 4:17 CSB
“The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near. Repent and believe the good news!”
Mark 1:15 CSB
Jesus replied, “Truly I tell you, unless someone is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” Jesus answered, “Truly I tell you, unless someone is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.
John 3:3, 5 CSB
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
John 14:6 CSB

Sir I have a query
About SPACED REPETITION.. how can a student manage it if he has already gone through the test of those particular topics and later gets busy with lots and lots of new topics and other study stuff so how do you actually manage a spaced repetition on the midst of a very busy session.
No matter how hard I try.. the things i once studied for tests are opened again only in the final exams and by then they are already long forgotten
@@koketsobaholo7 nlll
This guy is magic.... i watched one video and now ive finished all assignments that ive been procrastinating, booked a flight to china, gone to a monastery and am now a monk currently in my 3rd year training
Amazing
A monk?...
That escalated quickly....
Im a monk eyy
😂😂😂🤣🤣
Weird flex but ok
Phase 1. Scoping the general topics and subtopics of a subject: use active recall techniques according to the retrospective time table that fits your schedule. identify where you strengths and weaknesses of the subject.
Phase 2. Fill the holes in your knowledge very broadly and fight the temptation to get deep into the evidence.
Phase 3. Drill down into the details until you're confident that you could reach a higher mark in the class.
* pick your favorite flashcard creator whether its quizlet or making your own. Use this not for broad subjects, but for the niches.
* use the retrospective time table to log when you study each topic within certain subjects.
TESTING-active recall, flashcards, testing yourself before, during, and after studying
SPACING-"deliberate non-practicing", space out study sessions to forget some information
CATEGORIZING-if you want learn the information, create a category-based system such as a "tree of knowledge" or "mind map" with branches that hold specific information about that general subject
INTERLEAVING-if you're finding learning hard, then you're learning correctly. the brain is like a muscle; work it out.
I know he is putting a lot of effort in making these videos to help us out. But honestly, I need to be selfish. If I keep watching these videos, i won't be left with any time to do my studying.
Later, I will watch all the videos. So, thank you Ali.
And thank you, for this comment. 😊 you both are saviours.
Thanks you so much for organising and writing what Ali said in the video. This is very helpful for many people watching this video
Thanks man!
I wish I was a student and you my teacher, alas I'm just a youtuber now. Love your vibe.

GCSE History Teacher here Ali, and a massive fan of the channel. I've been passing on your advice and strategies over the months to my students and will continue to do so. Keep up the great work and positive contribution! ^_^
I wonder how many other teachers/professors there are here busily passing this study advice on to our students 🤩
hi!! i'm gonna be a history major in uni but i took a break and kinda lost a lot of skills, can i know what skills a history major should possess?
Ali is like the Casey Neistat of the studytube community
He has to fight Tibees, Thomas Frank and StriveStudies for that.
TRIAL BY COMBAT!!!
@@raymeester7883 Thomas Frank has gone out of "touch." He, apparently, has ran out of content, and his all-time low view counts is a testimony to this.
Rahell Omer
His advice and its applications is what matter. If it is effective and improves performance is what matters.
Most of the topics Ali covers has already been talked about on Frank's channel.
@@RahellOmer I would disagree with you, I still watch Thomas Frank's videos consistently. And also, his podcast is great for more conversational content and less serious. I think Ali and Thomas have different things to offer, but I really don't think Thomas is slowing down yet. I still think his content is top-notch, and it's more varied compared to Ali. But as a premed, Ali has bumped up to my favourite UA-camr with Thomas as a close second :)
THIS!!
In my opinion as a medical student, this video added to the background of your previous content is the best I’ve ever seen on UA-cam.
Last year I won for the second time the major competition among medical students in Brazil - Elsevier Anatomy Olympiad - then I was awarded with a trip to AMEE (conference about medical education - last year was in Vienna). This video, alone, added much more than the whole conference. I have no words to say thank you, Ali - you make the difference for me.
I’m excited to meet you personally soon. It will be one a great honor. Stay safe, Ali. Thank you again!
Wow. I'm just... wow! Everyone needs an Ali Abdaal in their lives! I surely do! Thx for all the tips
I want at least an hour of your "study with me video" Just so that I can study alongside you! This is the series I have been waiting for all along! XoXo
OH MY GOD!!!!
All my life i thought those vids were just made for us to WATCH them, and not to actually STUDY with them,
NO wonder how stupid it always sounded to me!!!!
@@gotnoname7051 no way my dude 😂😂
I'm a secondary science teacher and this has completely changed how I approach front loading, guiding, and assessing my students. I have been incorporating these skills into my daily lessons with students and within 2 weeks the results have proven favorable.
I love how you are so genuine in everything you say. I watched all of your study with me and study method video and everything you say is said in a previous video rather than made up to make new content.
I’m an orthopaedic registrar in Malaysia. It’s 11pm here, and I’ve had a pretty full-on day, but this video has me pumped up to use your way to revise for my exit exams. Thanks for creating all of this incredibly helpful and (yes, I’ll say it) motivating content.
This video is super applicable to MCAT studying in the US. I was feeling a bit lost in preparing for this beast of an exam and watching and rewatching this video is incredibly helpful. Thank you!
I love how your videos are targeted at different age ranges!!! There's always something you can learn and implement into your lives no matter what age. Thank you xxx
So excited for this series - especially the Google Sheets method! Have been getting a little too reliant on ANKI recently and this seems like an excellent alternative for understanding concepts :)
Eric Tian do u have ideas about the first purpose of using google sheets? about making retrospective active recall timetable
Eric he made a video about it. He basically recalls info and then writes the date on google sheets and color codes it based on how easy or hard it was to recall. That way he knows if he’s improving or not. He does that instead of the other timetable method which is basically scheduling specific time on when to recall info. He said this last method doesn’t work as well for him.
I just subscribed to your channel few hours back and have been binge watching till now.
Your doing a great job 😇
WOW, when everyone says you can't be a UA-camr and a medical student, thanks for being a great example of both!!
Has anyone ever told you how great of a teacher you could be ? I could hear you advice all day long and wouldn't get slightly bored (hence why I wantched you 35 mins video about 4 times already), you truly inspire me ❤ Can't wait to follow this journey of yours !
This guy is so excited about studying...that's weird and awesome!!
Whole my life I had been an average student, today I am at the most important phase and I'm preparing for an exam and I have found a perfect place to start. Thank you
Cannot stress how much I appreciate how structured your videos are
I think your channel is the most helpful channel in UA-cam! Thank you so much for giving your time and effort for all this content.
I absolutely love how your videos are structured and how you are able to condense sooo much helpful information in such a short time!
Fantastic
Thank you, Ali, you have really inspired me, I got a lot to catch up with. Greetings from Paraguay. Keep it up!
Thank you so much for sharing your amazing studying tips and bringing your subscribers along with you throughout your med school journey. I am a student in an honours bachelor of Athletic Therapy program coming straight from highschool, and your advice has greatly helped me in my success and motivation as a student! :)
You are, no doubt, the most useful and helpful study channel on YT. Thank you so much for making these videos!
Can't wait!! I'll be here all the way!! I use Quizlet too and it's definitely very fun and interactive! Can't wait for next week😃
All the best Ali. You are just amazing!!! World needs such a genuine soul like you. God bless you always 🙏 🙏 🙏
Love love LOVE this Ali! Thanks for making the time to make this vid 👏👏
Ali you should do some webinars / master classes on studying and the research you’ve found most effective. I would most certainly attend! Again, another great video

Ali, thank you yet again! Going back to uni twenty years later is going to be very different to back in the 90’s. Will be getting the new iPad Pro & Apple Pencil at the end of the month and rewatching your videos!

How awesome that you’ve chosen OB/GYN as your specialty. I’m a labor & delivery RN currently and I’m in graduate school to become a women’s health nurse practitioner. Your tips have helped me to not waste study time with strategies that aren’t effective. Thanks for all of the evidence based advice! It’s very much appreciated!
Ali this video is great. I love your exam mindset, it's really inspiring.
Great video! You never fail to inspire me to be productive!😊😊
On that note, please do a video on how you use active recall and spaced repetition methods. Also, how do you space out your exam study schedule? I always tend to run out of time. 😪😪
Thank you again Ali. I think these are great tools to keep up with high volume change in medicine after fellowship.
Thank you! Keep doing these!
Every time i watch his videos, i get inspired, the accent, quality of the content etc.
Watching your videos makes me excited to study. Thank you so much!!!!
You are my favorite youtuber. I’m a pharmacy student and you make me want to study and gain as much knowledge as i can. I just love listening to you and the way you structure your videos - man you deserve an A++ for that! Massive thumbs up ☺️❤️
Good job
I keep watching your channel from longer time, love it! Great job! Greetings from Poland^^
I'm a pharmacy student and this channel have been helping me a lot!
Always love your videos...thanks for sharing so much of your eventful life!
Excellent video, Ali. Thanks for the help :)
This man is saving my life!
Bro loved your video,it really helped me in many problems.Keep up the good work and thank you for the tips cuz I asked you to do it.
About 4 days ago I started watching your videos you were at 184k subs. Now it's 203k. That's pretty fast. Happy for u 🎉
Cannot wait for that Google Sheets video! I just made my own 'magic spreadsheet' for my 3rd year undergrad classes, and I'm excited! I already feel more aware of my subjects, and more prepared. Absolutely great content, thanks Ali :)
Thanks so much for this series!
I love this series!!
I like how excited u get mentioning active recall and spaced repetition.😁
Great news you’re doing this series. Looking forward to more on google sheets and Flashcards as want to know more about how and when. I think most of us are one or t’other. You hinted that google sheets is for learning concepts and I guess flashcards for facts? Also, I’d be pleased to see the background music go down a notch in volume and a little slower although it won’t stop me watching. Also interested in how you’ll fit your study in as free time must be in short supply.
Love your videos, they're so helpful and have really helped mindset 😊 Could you possibly do a video spilling the tea on being a junior doctor? Pros, cons etc. Cheers x
Most organised study channel I had ever watched
Talking about note taking I've personally found it very effective at learning new things. I generally take notes when learning a new subject, then read through the notes to turn them into questions I can use for active recall. But I think the key thing is I will only read them once, I won't revise by just re-reading notes
Hi Ali! Pretty much like your study series! Could you please consider to talk about ebook searching (academy)? Also interested in how u manage your time in a day. How to keep fit? Thank u for all these helpful videos and your warm smile.
Is it just me or what but that just motivated me to plan out my studying routine. Damn and i myself have found those mentioned methods really useful. Thanks a lot Ali. 🙏😃
I really appreciate what you do bro !
Awesome video, i really like the break down of your content you present at the beginning of the video.
Almost at 100k🎉🎉 Congratulations Congratulations 🥂
Excited for your google sheets video
Great video! Very helpful thank you :)
this is such a brilliantly made video!
You're the best ali!!

Lots of 'you know's in this video. Your skills are inproved now.
I wish you all the best in your life Ali
Hey Ali, great video! Just a suggestion, you should add pop-tags with redirect links to the other videos you mentioned in the intro. Im going to look for them now, and its a great feature to have in vids!
I really liked you google sheets technique. Will apply that to my USMLE preparation! Thanks!
Just started binge watching your videos 🙈
Omgosh ure so close to 1million!!!!!! Excited for you!!?!?!😱😱

Active Recall and Spaced Repetition
Gonna repeat these over and over today hahah
Thanks a lot Dr. ali
great video! gonna help med a lot.
Another excellent video well done I really like Quizlet. I use Quizlet in my teaching and encourage my students to use the App in their revision process.
My first day of watching your videos ...I am going crazy ... too good :-)
Hey :) I don´t know if you have already noticed this but Anki has recieved an update. It looks way better now and has a nicer interface :)
Keep on the good work :D
Jan
Hey! Really glad to have found your channel. I am myself preparing for the second step of the MRCP exam. Could you do a video on such post grad exams specifically and in a more detail, and how to manage time and other activities daily while preparing for such an exam? Appreciated.
Please do a video on how you really do active recall and spaced repetition whilst preparing for an exam! I’m on my second year in medical school here jn the Philippines, preparing for my midterm exam which is just two days away!!! I always find myself cramming for the coverage ALWAYS!!! Thank you!
Abida, can you make a video on what exactly you do while taking notes(aka hmwhat type of notes do you take?).
Ps.-ive watched the 'how do i take notes on my Ipad pro' video. So don't confuse this with that
Did anyone else notice how cool the casual pen spin he did was?
