Alright, Trotec, this makes me want to play with Ruby more. Cool! 😍
Thanks alot for the tips
Oh man I wish I would have never seen that, that is so much easier than using mine
How do you radial align with RED DOT POINTER? When I rotate the pointer on the cup in ruby doesn't move. Please make a video showing how to align by rotating the head and knowing where this is in ruby. Like JOB CONTROL DOES IT.
The cylindrical shape is tapered. So where should you take the diameter?
I recently purchased the attachment. It is a little bit different than the one shown in the video. It has clips that go over the side and top rulers. Is there a tutorial on how to swap the cone to the other side?
Here is a video showing how to swap between different rotary types: ua-cam.com/video/WmqoE2qtyug/v-deo.html I hope this helps!
This is perfect! Thank you so much
How do I place it if I need it in the middle of an existing logo. E.g. Yeti logo?
Hi Joshua! To position or locate a logo/graphic when using the rotary, move the red pointer to the location of the desired graphic on the product or material and then snap the design to that pointer. The laser system will then engrave the file in that exact selected location. See this video on how to use the red pointer to position graphics: ua-cam.com/video/ygdIWLLc7Jw/v-deo.html
Great stuff but your training videos are inconsistent. Most show leaving the cone on while using the rotary tool. And just 2 months ago I used the latest version of Ruby and it didn't have the functionality we needed to add markers to the plate for consistent exact graphics location like Job control offers.
When will Ruby be out of beta testing? We also have a 120 watt Speedy 400, thanks.
Hello! Ruby officially came out of beta on 7/15. Make sure you update your software to take advantage of all of Ruby's new features. We will have another large update later this year, so keep an eye out for that as well!
@@TrotecLaser Thanks, updating Ruby as I type.
It would be nice to have the settings for the laser. None of this works without those numbers so why gloss over it?
Hi Robert! Settings can vary based on machine type and wattage, so we typically recommend testing on your own system to determine the best settings for you. For this application, we used our 120-watt Speedy 400 with a 2" lens at 100% power, 70% Speed, 1000Hz, and 500 DPI.
Is this available for the R series?
The r400 does have a rotary option offered. You can learn more here: www.rayjetlaser.com/en-us/products/r-series-laser-cutter
