I absolutely love Orphos and Aegisaur. The entire concept is so unique and brilliant. At the moment it's my favorite enigmorph. Also I really like the changes you made to the types.
Love the discovery aspect of unveiling more information about the enigmorphs. I imagine a legends arceus type gameplay wherein after you catch an Enigmorph you need to complete several tasks in order to complete it's entry. I imagine the task to unlock the enigmorph's types is to have it battle an enigmorph of each primary type.
What would be fun is having pretty much nothing. Like having the type triangle but not the types or empties of an enigmorph. Could be fun to have a sort of note system where, by fighting, you'd be able to compare if x beats y knowing that y has probably z type. Maybe that sounds fun only to my nerd ass...
Super excited to see a new update, especially with the arthro typing and split corruptions! I had an idea for a mothman inspired enigmorph with a split corruption a while back, one where it tries to warn people of future tragedies but can’t since insects are mute, and another where it intervenes and tries to stop tragedies from occurring. I had even started drawing them when this new vid came out!
One tweak I thought of is to replace electric with energy. Energy is more broad, meaning you could add stuff like fire and electricity without needing two types. Just what I thought though.
Another Enigmorph video? You're too good to us dude! Gruzzle is so stinking cute but also omg the implication of the bullet hole in its head is so twisted. I love the type changes as well, especially since it doesn't really remove any of the previous types but just consolidates them into others. Like Fire can just be a part of Light and Fungus can be a part of Edible or Flora.
I can just imagine a tired Hunter sitting in a corner, writing their report on a new enigmorph and then slapping their issued typing stamps onto the page to mark the types they think the enigmorph is.
Posting this here because I REALLY want you to see it, I'm so proud of it and I really hope it gets into the game. Batrachant: A Nascent form Enigmorph formed from a deceased frog after it had ingested fireflies. The fireflies, now in control, still need some form of sustenance, but have grown the taste for other insects due to the influence of the frog's soul. It now puppets the vocal chords to emit a song almost like that of a siren and flashes the lights through it's stretched-thin, ballooned lungs to hypnotize and lure in prey. However, its singing has also lured children and adults alike into the bogs, which has given Batrachant a small taste of what it is like to perform. (Based off of Batracien and Chant) (Necros, Aquatic, and Light) Grenopois: A Forked-Path Apex Enigmorph formed from when the frog's soul finally reemerges from within the fireflies. Realizing how much it enjoys performing, Grenopois sneak into opera houses due to opera singing almost resembling Batrachant's new mating call. Seeing a performance live on stage, Grenopois, now imbued with purpose due to human intervention, will steal clothes from opera houses and attempt to have its voice heard. The frog's soul and the fireflies' souls now work in a symbiotic relationship to dazzle with light and sound as Grenopois has started being picked up for smaller opera performances. (Grenouille, Opera and french for spot, pois.) (Aquatic, Light, and Fauna) Zauberfrosch: A Forked-Path Apex Enigmorph formed when the frog's soul seeps out from being absorbed from the fireflies. Imbued by intense vanity, Zauberfrosch fashions itself what it thinks is a beautiful dress out of materials from it's swamp home, not knowing that it can't form tangible clothing. Zauberfrosch will do anything to get an audience, the fireflies now parasitizing the frog's vain soul as it traps and hypnotizes small animals, other Enigmorphs, and even adults with its light shows and potent plantmancy. They are often trapped for so long that they starve or die from exhaustion, as the hypnosis from Zauberfrosch forces its victims to stay awake. (Based off of The Queen of the Night from De Zauberflote, Zauber being Magic and Frosch being Frog.) (Aquatic, Light, and Fey.)
Great stuff, as per usual. Might I suggest changing the name of the Construct type to the Machina type? I just think it fits the vibe better, especially when compared to the Daemon and Fae types.
Yknow when you see a concept so good yet so in your face your upset you didn't come up with it first but so glad someone came up with it so that it exists now? Yea. Thats what Gruzzle is for me. Thankyou for bringing it into conception.
Lava lamp Ankylosaurus is my new favorite. I love everything about it. (That awesome pumpkin line got demoted to a very close second.) Keep making awesome creatures. I love hearing how they might interact with the world and more examples of that are cool. Imagining using it's first form as a floating torch to explore while it's corrupted could smash down walls or be ridden round.
*_Hell yeah we love more bear-based monster designs in this household!_* I think you really captured the playfulness and innocence of the bear cub nicely with its expression, it shows the little guy was still happy at its final moments, and you can greatly build upon this by then having every single bear cub react differently and fork the evolution depending on whether said cub manifested rancor and evolved to cause violence or spread serenity
If we ever do get a game there absolutely needs to be a level or an area/dungeon where we go visit an old house or museum that belongs to/is run by some “gentleman adventurer” type character, where they brag about having found/collected/shot half the exhibits. Before eventually something happens (maybe a villain does something, a prime shows up, etc…) and a bunch of the things corrupt into Enigmorphs, and they all immediately turn to look at the owner.
@@tehesprite502 Yeah but that one is for living things corrupted after their deaths, so unless it's like the book merging with a recently deceased human soul (maybe someone who died reading a book, or someone that got buried with a book or someone that died in a library or whatever) I don't think it fits
I've always enjoyed the Proctor character, but this video made me fall in love with him. He seems to care very much for his HHC rookies, but he would never admit it. After all, we were late twice and never punished for it, and even got full reign to come back whenever we want today. Whatever way the Enigmorph project ends up forming, he's got to be part of it, he's just too delightful.
Love the new visual aid for secondary and terciary types! Tho i feel as the lather is a little hard to see from afar, so maybe instead of 3 thin lines it could have some other visual indicator? Like organic lines or another ornamentation than it would make it a little easier for separating it from the other two
Excellent work. I commented a lot of questions on the last video about type design and I feel like you addressed pretty much every issue I had (the addition of a "neutral" primary type goes a long way, although I'm still not sure I understand why not every Enigmorph has a primary typing). Something I'd like to praise is your philosophy of evolution of concepts rather than a monster just kind of getting bigger, I think too many newer Pokemon designs are afraid to do something like that. I saw on your last video that you took some inspiration from Spectrobes and it really shows, Spectrobes was one of my favorite series growing up and in no small part due to the absolutely insane monster design. Keep up the good work!
The Gruzzle line seems to have a theme. Of Nature Vs Technology Or… rather… humanity affecting nature and resulting in this difference of the Enigmorph Becoming more vengeful and technological Or becoming more peaceful and natural, healing nature Maybe this will come in handy with some human characters that try to help nature or that hate enigmorphs Since weapons seem to be also natural to come of a construct or metal enigmorphs
So glad to get another video so soon!! Loved how we were back to more commentaries about the design process at the end. The designs were stunning as always
Really hoping to see some mythological creatures as inspirations for Enigmorph Designs. I think it could be a prime opportunity to have the common people confuse the, for things like wendigos, sphinxes, and chimeras.
Ok I like the new types a lot, the addition of Necros opens up some cool possibility space, the colours and rings add visual clarity, and there's generally less overlap and better coverage of potential designs. I *do* still think that Bloom feels a little redundant with Flora and Fae there though. I feel like Fungus or Poison were better in this regard. Fungus (which you can abstract out into Decay or something) is better at covering all the living organisms that facilitate decay ( as opposed to necros which represents the dead matter itself as well as spirits etc), and something like Poison/Venom/Corrosion feels far more distinct and enables more kinds of design than Bloom imo! *Edit:* ok I've heard the postscript now. I kind of agree that it's confusing from a purely scientific point of view to put fungi in the flora category, but they are absolutely not "closer to animals" and I don't understand why this myth is so prevalent. They're fundamentally different organisms from both groups, which all diverged not long after complex multicellular life emerged. For this reason I'd probably lean more toward the Poison side of things- or perhaps something like Blight, which could encompass diseases as well as poison?
Oh yeah, here we go again! Ngl, I was a bit sad to see Fungus go, mainly because: 1) Fungi are surprisingly eldrich when you get to the crazy ones, and 2) With Flora and Fauna, it'd be like having another one of the Eukaryotic Kingdoms. BUT, that's why I was removed. It isn't ACTUALLY Flora. So I'll take Edible as a fair trade because holy crap that's so funny lmao. And the Necro type is kinda perfect for the more Fungi/Bacteria-like enigmorphs. It might be my favourite type only because I would die for Gruzzle oml - look at that baby!! The forked corruption it's such a fun concept, but I'll admit that when you started explaining it, I was visualizing Digimon evolution mechanics. Maybe forked corruptions could be a rare trait, something that very few enigmorphs can do? Or, maybe, what is rare isn't the forked corruption in itself, but the ability to chose either one depending on occasion. It's an idea. I'm very curious about how human interactions shape these corruptions. I'm half convinced Jack is the hallway cryptid of the organization that we - somehow- caught his eye and now he shares secret tips with. Oh! An scorpion🦂Cute :)
lol we had the exact opposite opinion about the forked corruptions -maybe I should look into digimon more. Edit: I bet whatever founder you choose to train under would have some effect
Ok, idea: the Electric type should be changed to Energy or Plasma, it'd be able to cover more Enigmoprhs like ones previously classified as Fire and ones classified as Electric currently
Proctor, I may have encountered a new type Enigmorph, this peculiar specimen resides completely in the dark the only visible part is a strange “face” (it’s the troll face) that glows neon green, whenever I turn of the lights in my room it hides underneath my bed or desk, wether the light hurts it or is an irritant is unknown, because of it tendency to hide when any form of light other than it’s “face” is near this is all I have unfortunately (I just thought of a face in the dark and I made this)
i am loving this series so far! the style, the colours, the voice overs, everything! cant wait to see which enigmorphs we'll learn about in the next orientation session!
Just a thought but wouldn't orhos have multiple dino influence if there are multiple of it around the world, like one that evolves into a carnotorous or a stegasoura etc.
i think Aegisaur could be a sort of eevee to enigmorphs, having a lot of apex forms based on different dinosaurs to fit the different typings Great video! I love your channel
I came up with a really dumb idea for a necros enigmorph, a landmine fused with the remains of a soldier it blew up, creating a gross little meat spider with a big ol eye where the button should be
Normally with this kind of forked evolution I tend to like the "dark" form more, but gosh, Urscended is cool as hell, it could fit as a diety in other games.
You can really tell now that the typing system is reflecting the specific gameplay concepts more than just general typing ideas now. Though, I am curious about poison being gone now since Necros specifically can't be poisoned, I wonder how poisoning will come into play
I’ve been loving your Enigmorphs!! I’ve been wanting to say this for a while so hopefully you’ll see this comment since this is a newer post. I’ve been thinking a for the hunters you could include some kind of minor level of magic that they could weld. Obviously this wouldn’t be anything extreme like a fire ball but perhaps this could be the method for them to corrupt/ de-corrupt the Enigmorphs. As well it makes sense as it allows for characters that don’t like Enigmorphs or prefer to use few of them ways to realistically survive on more dangerous excursions. I think I’d add more depth and possibilities to the world.
You know what? I'd like to see an Arthro enigmorph based on a scorpion for some sudden reason... And that weirdly enough was discovered in the institute itself
I find it fascinating how they have the potential to be based in a primary type, and yet still have the capability to have a secondary type and tertiary type of a completely different primary type, would love to know how that's possible.
I swear, when/if this game will be released as a videogame, I'll do whatever it takes to help the little cub corrupt into Urscended, I love those enigmorphs ♡
You're feeding us so well recently. Gruzzle's concept is so sick, you managed to fit such a depressing topic in a non-graphic and cool way. I don't know if this will be a topic in the future but are the enighmorphs able to reproduce? If so is it restricted to limited types/species (ex: necros and minera can't) and will that create new enoghmorphs or do they just take the shape of one of the 2 enighmorphs? I think this is a cool concept but at the same time I'm aware it would be difficult to implement since in a game everyone tries the most possible combinations, so I'm just curious about this. I'm really hyped for this project!!! ❤
How i’ve always thought a breeding creature collector should work is that they must be fully evolved (corrupted) at the time of breeding and they must have at least mostly the same types or all the same types. This would limit the number of inputs greatly, but also make for interesting tasks like trying to find a creature with matching types and have them be decently powered up. Also, like irl hybrids, these hybrids would not be able to breed and make new creatures so it lessens the complication.
It would be really cool if you made Orphos kinda like the Eevee of this game: why not have the lil' guy turn into various dinosaurs to help you in different scenarios or puzzles, for example: Aegisaur can be used to smash though barriers, while one based on a Tyranosaur can use it's keen senses of smell and sight to help you locate objects, and one based on a pterasaur can help you by flying up to out of reach places or just have 'em use Fly and be used for fast-travel. Plus, you mentioned that Aegisaur has the ability to communicate telepathicly, maybe they can all share the ability to read minds or something like that. (This is going on the assumption that the game will still have puzzle elements, like you mentioned in a previous video.)
I know pterasaurs are not dinosaurs, but you also broke that rule with your paradox Raikou, plus they are really iconic prehistoric animals, so It'll slide with most people.
Could the presence of one enigmorph influence the corruption cycle of another? Perhaps two typically separate enigmorphs could fuse under the right circumstances.
Im sorry, but aegisaur’s look and CONCEPT IS SO LEGENDARY. A mind of a animal trapped in the past fused with a otherworldly existence that just sits at the end of its tail resembling what ended its species
Ooh, another intriguing video. I gotta get my hands on some of these new Enigmorphs, especially Aegisaur. I need me a cosmic dino buddy. In the meantime, Gruzzle is a very cute but sinister twist on a slain bear; it gives off sort of "starter Morph" vibes to me. I'm interested to see what options new players will have to choose from whenever this releases fully, whatever the form.
Professor, I have a question regarding the folklore of fox shapeshifters in eastern asia (and to an extent their relevance of being tricksters in folklore across the globe) - is it the case that these were born by encounters with an Enigmorph? The 'shapeshifting' between forms makes me think of how an Enigmorph mutates back and forth, especially with them taking a humanoid form that several Apex forms lean towards. also I think I need a recap on what's different between something being a Flora Enigmorph and a Bloom Enigmorph, since it hasn't been clear to me on why that's the one to stay and not poison or fungal (though the latter does make sense to remove as is). Also, with fire being taken out of being a type, would it be worth it to fold it into the Electric type into an 'Energy' type? both flame and electricity are useful to fuel or power inventions, and both are known to leave nasty burns on contact with living beings - it could also be used to loop in new forms of energy that may end up being discovered!
I swear these are some of my favourite designs so far! I really, really like Urscended, and I can imagine it'd be one of those species I look up how to get before I even started playing the game. Aegisaur is awesome as well, it seems so friend shaped. Every Enigmorph video makes me so excited to see what's new
Gruzzle is by far my favorite. I love how your monster catching verse has more adult and slightly darker tones then normal. Ursended remind me of some art I saw you do for a challenge over on truegreen7 channel, was that the inspiration?
Again love this video, but I have one suggestion. I am colorblind and I imagine many other viewers are. I would like to please ask you to increase the contrast or something of the type outlines for the flora and fauna type families as I genuinely cannot see the difference between them. Thanks for reading this comment and even making this video in the first place!

That bear enigmorph is such an amazing concept!
Awww yeah, love me some more Enigmorph content!
My goat subjectively is back
Super excited to see a new update, especially with the arthro typing and split corruptions! I had an idea for a mothman inspired enigmorph with a split corruption a while back, one where it tries to warn people of future tragedies but can’t since insects are mute, and another where it intervenes and tries to stop tragedies from occurring. I had even started drawing them when this new vid came out!
I just wanna cuddle Gruzzle omggg just the absolute cutest! Can’t wait to see more Necro Enigmorphs
I can't BEAR this seminar
this pun is OUT OF THIS WORLD
You might need to hold it BLACK BEAR!
One tweak I thought of is to replace electric with energy. Energy is more broad, meaning you could add stuff like fire and electricity without needing two types. Just what I thought though.
Oh, and the tentacle back ankylo is badass.
That's actually not a bad idea 🔥⚡
(Based off of Batracien and Chant) (Necros, Aquatic, and Light)
Grenopois: A Forked-Path Apex Enigmorph formed from when the frog's soul finally reemerges from within the fireflies. (Grenouille, Opera and french for spot, pois.) (Aquatic, Light, and Fauna)
Zauberfrosch: A Forked-Path Apex Enigmorph formed when the frog's soul seeps out from being absorbed from the fireflies.
You know, I had it as Machina initially, before I renamed the "Construct" type to "Minera". I may change it back
automatons could also be a good name.
The animate metal creatures of Greek myth
7:35 I love hearing about Enigmorphs that only appear with human cooperation! So interesting.
The rendering on Orphos and Aegisaur is goddamn Beautiful
Yknow when you see a concept so good yet so in your face your upset you didn't come up with it first but so glad someone came up with it so that it exists now? Yea. Thats what Gruzzle is for me. Thankyou for bringing it into conception.
Thank God I made it this time... Also these seats are very uncomfortable to be honest but can't complain. Oh my God... My new favorite is aegisaur.
I agree, fuck it, gatling bear is peak design. Just make whatever you want to.
An enigmorph based on the necronomicon would be cool, like a normal book that got corrupted and now it's contents were changed into unspeakable evils
I wonder what type that would be considered?
@fizzyizzypop1300 Void, I don't know if it would have any other types
@@flaminglettuce9464 I mean it could have Necron, the original Necronomicon was made from human skin.
@@tehesprite502 Yeah but that one is for living things corrupted after their deaths, so unless it's like the book merging with a recently deceased human soul (maybe someone who died reading a book, or someone that got buried with a book or someone that died in a library or whatever) I don't think it fits
@ The bear from this video was *taxidermied* before it corrupted. "Recently" isn't a requirement.
A floating mask that takes form after someone dies holding onto lies and shame would be cool or like a marshmallow monster 🤩
The two sides of every monster collector player ever
LETS GO JACK KILLIN IT AGAIN
I've always enjoyed the Proctor character, but this video made me fall in love with him. He seems to care very much for his HHC rookies, but he would never admit it. After all, we were late twice and never punished for it, and even got full reign to come back whenever we want today. Whatever way the Enigmorph project ends up forming, he's got to be part of it, he's just too delightful.
6:28 THATS SO SICK, IT IS THE "HELL YEAH" ENIGMORPH
The ring system helps a whole bunch
I absolutely love every single enigmorph video you make!
Ursended and Aegisaur are my personal favorites of all your enimorphs thus far!!! I love them so much!!
I'm truly OBSESSED with this series, so thank you for feeding us with two scrumptious videos in a row
Of Nature Vs Technology
Or… rather… humanity affecting nature and resulting in this difference of the Enigmorph
Becoming more vengeful and technological
Or becoming more peaceful and natural, healing nature
Maybe this will come in handy with some human characters that try to help nature or that hate enigmorphs
Since weapons seem to be also natural to come of a construct or metal enigmorphs
Fantastic work researchers. I look forward to seeing what you find out next.
Honestly I would love to see some lesser known/Popular Mythical Creatures suck as Perytons (Winged Deer) or maybe Chereokee Death cat
Blight, now there’s a good type name
@@Subjectivelyagree ☣
@@Subjectively 👀
Would love to see any enigmorphs mythology related
Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes
Agree
Didn’t we see Camazotz in the legendary video?
I feel like professor is going to create a scorpion Enigmorph.
Seems most likely 🦂
I absolutely adore the Urscendant designs, by far my favorite you've made yet.
I would love to see mixed versions of an endomorph alternate palette would be like!
this is such a fascinating world I would actually give my soul to play an enigmorph game and a series in my lifetime
Ok, idea: the Electric type should be changed to Energy or Plasma, it'd be able to cover more Enigmoprhs like ones previously classified as Fire and ones classified as Electric currently
Proctor, I may have encountered a new type Enigmorph, this peculiar specimen resides completely in the dark the only visible part is a strange “face” (it’s the troll face) that glows neon green, whenever I turn of the lights in my room it hides underneath my bed or desk, wether the light hurts it or is an irritant is unknown, because of it tendency to hide when any form of light other than it’s “face” is near this is all I have unfortunately (I just thought of a face in the dark and I made this)
Fascinating
i am loving this series so far! the style, the colours, the voice overs, everything! cant wait to see which enigmorphs we'll learn about in the next orientation session!
Just a thought but wouldn't orhos have multiple dino influence if there are multiple of it around the world, like one that evolves into a carnotorous or a stegasoura etc.
i think Aegisaur could be a sort of eevee to enigmorphs, having a lot of apex forms based on different dinosaurs to fit the different typings
Great video! I love your channel
I came up with a really dumb idea for a necros enigmorph, a landmine fused with the remains of a soldier it blew up, creating a gross little meat spider with a big ol eye where the button should be
Oh. I first thought you proposed a like cloud of body parts. Your is cool too though XD
🧟🕷🪖
This is some great content man, my only recommendations is more types for prime enigmorphs.
I dont know about scorpions but i see a floating cat with a sinister grin looking at me from the window.
Log your encounter in your Lexi Innominatus and we will cross-reference your findings against those of other field agents
I think you just found a cheshire cat 😸
I adore the Necros type!!!! Also the spit evo!!!! I love this
You know what? I'd like to see an Arthro enigmorph based on a scorpion for some sudden reason... And that weirdly enough was discovered in the institute itself
Lol! I forsee a certain Instructor getting in to trouble while also getting some credit.
I’m looking forward to an update about god enigmorphs
Especially there types
I think that necros should also include enigmorphs based on concepts like hazement.
Like an Esculent and Fae type could only breed with another Esculent and Fae type (I’ve changed Edible to Esculent in my headcannon)
we need enignomorph starters if there is any
I was thinking the same thing
We already have them, you must have missed one of the seminars! It’s the candle squid, plant pot and the eyeball gear!
@Shlunkiyeee wait I thought it was the crow priest for fauna? Was it changed in the candle squid episode and I just forgot?
@fizzyizzypop1300 I don’t recall a crow priest?…
@Shlunkiyeee woewhorl line
I love this series with it's style and presentation. It has grim designs and fun/cute ones too? These ideas are so creative as well.
I know pterasaurs are not dinosaurs, but you also broke that rule with your paradox Raikou, plus they are really iconic prehistoric animals, so It'll slide with most people.
sorry for the uncomfortably big wall of text and ideas I just presented, I just had to get my idea out my head before I forget about it.
@sebastianjessup8510 Awwww.... You corrected yourself... And here I was about to be all "Mmm achtually" on you T-T
@@Slimmagma Well, not to flex, but I watch paleontology videos while I drink my morning esspresso
Could the presence of one enigmorph influence the corruption cycle of another? Perhaps two typically separate enigmorphs could fuse under the right circumstances.
It’s certainly possible…
@@SubjectivelyInteresting
I think more like route 1 enigmorph than starter.
3:47 one problem, I’m colorblind and cannot see the difference between the red and green rings
Same here, I can barely tell them apart and I can only do that if I stare at them
Professor, I have a question regarding the folklore of fox shapeshifters in eastern asia (and to an extent their relevance of being tricksters in folklore across the globe) - is it the case that these were born by encounters with an Enigmorph?
Every Enigmorph video makes me so excited to see what's new
It would be cool if aegisaur kept some of he human traits from orphos. Like maybe if it kept the human arms somewhere in the design?
Gruzzle is by far my favorite. I love how your monster catching verse has more adult and slightly darker tones then normal. Ursended remind me of some art I saw you do for a challenge over on truegreen7 channel, was that the inspiration?
Again love this video, but I have one suggestion. I am colorblind and I imagine many other viewers are. I would like to please ask you to increase the contrast or something of the type outlines for the flora and fauna type families as I genuinely cannot see the difference between them. Thanks for reading this comment and even making this video in the first place!
