The Aventura X emoped/escooter is the best looking electric scooter in its class and at first glance, the Aventura X looks just like the iconic Vespa scooter.
But once you notice there is no motor or exhaust noise coming from it, you begin to realize there is something special about the Aventura X electric scooter.
We had the luxury to be one of the first Americans to test and review the Aventura X, a nostalgic looking sit down scooter that is fully electric. In this review, we will tell you what we love and hate about the Aventura X electric scooter.

Great Video! We have fixed the small squeezy noises on all of our Aventuras, no more signal light noises, we have also fixed the side storage pockets. Also it is important to mention that we do offer storage space such as a helmet case, a rear rack and a front rack that can be purchased directly from our website. We also offer a 1 year warranty on our battery, chassis and controller. Aventura-X Electric scooters are assembled in the USA. We also have the 40 miles per hour version and the Aventura-X Sidecar arriving in 2022!
40 mph is juuuuuust enough to get around my suburban neighborhood (I understand cars will pass me when I would go uphill). Did the 40 mph version ever get released?
@@evshrug hello we released the 50mph this year
This got me thinking about that movie Luca lol
Awesome review guys! Love the retro look :)
I sold my Vespa-style EMMO e-bike about a month ago, replacing it with an electric push scooter. I liked the e-bike but hardly ever regretted having traded it for the scooter - the latter has a number of very important advantages over the e-bike, at least for me.
Very cool. Great video as always.
Thanks for tuning in, Mario! Always great to hear from you!
It's nice to see another retro Vespa style electric scooter. I've been riding my retro Vespa style electric scooter for 7 years now. My scooter is 72v 3kw with sinewave technology. I recently put in a 72v 30ah Lithium titanate oxide battery in it and am impressed with the quick charging of it and the performance in the cold weather. I would like to get the sidecar for my bike if I don't get that one with the sidecar instead. Great review!
Seven years! Amazing!
@@freshlycharged yes these bikes are great. It still looks and rides like new. I put over 20000 kms on it and never had a problem with it only wear and tear like tires and brake pads and battery pack which will last the rest of my life because it lasts for over 20000 cycles.
Yep I can see it, J&D sipping on some nice tea while joy riding with this very classy looking Adventura 👌 🍵 As usual well done boys 👊
Great video… I have been riding a NIU GTS here in Colorado…. Rated as a 50cc here in Colorado and goes 50mph .. gotta love electric
Thanks Jimmy Chang! Excellent review, makes me want one. The question of how it does on hills is answered in the last minute - "no transition going up a hill, this has a lot of pep". The recent comments from Aventura-X about fixes is reassuring, now how about the headlight - next?
Hello Keith, an Aventura-X Electric performs very well on hills as long as its not above the weight limit of 330 lbs.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this scooter! Your video convinced me to order the Aventura- X in mint green! Awaiting delivery mid April 2022. Will share my ride thoughts with you then! Thanks again! Cheers.
Did it show up? Any review?
Do you have to change it through a app to increase the speed and the distance like other one's I seen
Congratulations on 50k
Hey jimmy love your videos 👍 i have actually just bought a Nan robot D6 and I love it , your video on it was the reason I purchased it and couldn’t be happier so thank you 🙏.. I was wondering if you have thought about making a video on different phone holders for e scooters and what you Guys prefer ?
Great to hear! Thanks for the phone holder idea! Do you have a favorite?
@@freshlycharged Do one on the Begode K5 ... I'm not gonna get anything but that Begode K5. It has 150 mile range! I live in LA, I can go to the beach with that thing, ride it at the beach too, then come back all the way home with maybe 10% left on the battery. That's super functional. Also, everyone that gets it says its extremely fun ... Whats personally holding me back is that $3500 factor. lol
I test drove one last month and also noticed the squeaky noise. I loved the look and acceleration but the noise was noticeable
Great video! Picked one of these up for a deal yesterday and wanted to know how I could unlock the speed? I tried to cruise at 30-40 miles today and it would constantly kill the power.
You may want to tell them they need to cut the power to the Scoot before switching out batteries. Great Vid guys. I brought in 50 of these about 6 years ago sold them all within a month. I however got a different makers' version ours were 72v, 120 kph top speed 4kw motor wheels otherwise essentially the same.
That's how I want my bikes delivered!!🤗
It probably has an ECU battery like the NIU, this is why the alarm works with the batteries removed/unplugged.
OR... its sentient and in distress
Love your gloves in this one! What are those?
I don't see them listed in your gear invintory 🤔
Love it! I'd get this over a $3k EUC/Scooter any day of the week. I love my sub-$2k EUCs and scooters, but if I'm paying more, I want something that I can take on the street confidently.
Interesting to read the comments that there are other comparable (or better) options for cheaper. I wonder how many of them look like they belong on the street, rather than looking like a bicycle with an electric motor strapped on...
All of the ones I read in the other comments definitely look like they belong on the street! However there are these weird mandatory dealer fees/etc. inherent to buying those ... it means that e.g. the CSC Monterey (an electric Super Cub basically, and what I'd compare directly to this) costs a little under $3k to the door, instead of the $2200 that is its list price. I'm not sure what fees if any are applicable here, or how realistic the listed range is, but if the list price is /after/ dealer fees/etc./etc. and is just straight out the door - and the listed range is accurate - it could be relatively competitive.
@@rainbow_mess I looked up some of the other suggestions and none of them had even close to the style of this or the CSC Monterey. People are scoffing and saying "you're paying for style" but what's wrong with paying for something that doesn't look like it was made in my garage?
@@dbrowdy What ones did you look up? The Honda Navi, Grom, and Metropolitan are the gas-powered scooters in this range that seem good to me, and they all look good (depending on preference ... I do prefer the metropolitan/this over the other two) and are going to be incredibly reliable. And all of the Niu options look pretty good to me as well - Niu's also a 'trusted brand' in the space, so to speak.
... But this doesn't seem like a terrible option at all. It is a bit unproven, though ... we'll see how that goes when it actually releases (in late April of next year, hopefully).
Please do a review on the spark cycleworks bandit
You should review the Super Soco TC model too
Jimmy, what brand is your friends Black Helmut? It is awesome and covers his ears and small visor. RAD.
I'm not sure what brand it is. I bought it years ago from a local motorcycle shop. I'll try to find the brand for you.
Thanks very much for the review. For me, stealing the batteries is the biggest issue. I think i could open the battery compartment with a crowbar in 3 minutes. :=(
How do you ride the 50cc Vespa on the road? Do you ride it like a bike? I imagine cars flying by.
Do you need a license for it to drive or no like other 50cc moped?
Hi Jimmy. Can you guys do a review on the Emove Roadrunner or the Cycleboard Rover?
I'm sure we will review the Roadrunner in the upcoming months.
If they send it, we will ride and review it!
Nice video. It seems there is no footrest for the passenger in the back. Can we install one? Thanks
hello, passenger in the back has a foot rest, this is scooter fits two people :)
The looks and silent ride are what this has going for it. But the rattling and somewhat flimsy plastic breaks the illusion of a silent Vespa. I can imagine the whole thing shattering if it tipped over while parked let alone if it slid out on gravel.
Aventura X is built out of a very durable ABS material, it takes hits much better than what people think :)
The plastic is similar to my Yamaha Vino. It's not metal like my Vespa but it's still rigid and durable.
I've ridden other scooters that have brittle plastic. This has a more premium feel to it.
Hope you're not around that fire, brother. Love your videos.
About an hour south. We are fine, but the speed and destruction of that fire is devastating.
Wow 😍
Two important items: cost comparison against the (petrol?) Vespa? And charging time from the standard plug in from half-full? (Comparison to the petrol scooter seems odd as we won’t be able to buy those?) Where is the Vespa equivalent and how much is it? Pretty pointless exercise? 🤔
Vespa makes the Elettrica, comes in two varieties: 25mph and 40mph. Crazy-expensive, non-(easily)-removable battery, but superb Vespa build quality.
Jimmy chang Entertainment Inc.
Have you heard anything about how this works with the sidecar?
You need to test the 0 to 30 verse a 50 cc 2 stroke made in the last 20 years!
I love the thing and that color reminds me of a '56' crown vic, ford used the same color on a lot of their classic cars, but if I were to buy one, had have to pick a black one although black might attract the sun more meaning in places like Arizona the sun just might melt the plastic? Anyway great video. 😎👍
The comment I have ...is what they charge for extras. Very very very pricey. 800.00 for an extra battery. I love the looks. I like Vespas. But wow on the extras. Just so expensive. With extras, your looking at spending 5k. Compared to the Ariel grizzly, it's pretty expensive
Hi! I just got mine! I live in CA does anyone know if I need to register it, get a license plate, etc?? The CA dmv website isn't very straight forward
Did you end up
Finding out an answer ?
Im buying this, considering its just $880 usd rn in my country
Where are they made?
I am disabled and in a wheelchair. Does this come in a trike?
Love the jacket andrew. It looks like you're about to pay Macaulay Culkin a visit though
"Keep the change, you filthy animal..."

@@Andrew-vt4jt jimmy gonna come home to all his PEV's gone and the sinks running
6:40 I'd be real careful about advising people to lubricate their brakes. I'd be so careful saying it that my mouth wouldn't open and no sound would be heard.
Lubricating brake caliper pins is completely safe and recommended for maintenance.
So it’s a rebadged generic electric scooter from Aliexpress. What’s the advantage of paying extra and glung with AventuraX?
I am Interested in getting one but I work at a shipyard , how east are these to steal ?
hello theft is not common with our product since there is an anti theft alarm system installed on our scooters, also the brakes and the steering wheel locks.
Lit
The copy looks more classic in the front then the modern version of Vespa!!
Those cant sell in Italy for copyright infringment...
If I was going to spend that kind of money I would get a Honda super cub.
Jennie has a great laugh, btw.
its beautiful...its a good buy if the quality is good
we have upgraded our suspensions, and the batteries we use are LG a very high quality battery. We take pride in our quality.
@@aventura-x4766can it be bought in Canada?
Doesn't 'moped' mean motor-pedal?
Hello there, hope you & your family & loved ones are all safe & well dealing with the December Colorado wildfires. Take care
Thank you. It was north of us but very scary how quickly it developed.
You should never lubricate brakes
You lubricate the brake calipers not the pads. Mechanics have been doing it forever to prevent squeaks and squels from the brakes.
It should have a automatic battery switch.
Sweet looking scooter. But with the low range.....I think I will stay with my Niu m+..
our new Range on the EV29 is 70 miles
Same body as the Lexmoto Milano and AJS Modena
Why is there no side to side vs a gas moped ? I don't believe it.
We have to get rid of motorcycle licenses for scooters and mopeds that don't go faster than 40mph.
⚡🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼🔥
100% electric!
Seems like you're paying a lot for the styling. You can get a NIU with much more power and battery for the same price.
I agree over priced junk
They didn't use any foam or plastic in the packaging but used it to make the scooter instead. 😂
If I see one of these with a sidecar and a dog in it, I’m gonna lose it.
We hope that comes soon! They just got the sidecar in stock.
175 Vespa?
It is not a moped if it has pedals it's a moped. If it don't have pedals its a motorcycle /scooter.
need a driver license? i rather use gas..
what if 1 day you are riding the moped it stops?
i never know how to ride a moped.
each state has it's own law regarding registration, all our scooters come with an MCO. Electric is the better option than gas because it is cheaper and less maintenance, we see a lot of riders selling their gas scooters to purchase an Aventura-X specially lately due to the high gas prices. Our scooters come with a 1 year warranty and we use premium quality lithium ion batteries so we never had a problem with anyone's scooter stopping.
Hill climbing?
32 degrees on our EV29 model and 42 degrees on our EV30 model
Good design. Someone should make a well built one. This one won't last 3 years.
our customers have been driving it for over 5 years now
It's not a moped it's a scooter a moped is the kind of has a motor and pedals
Why doesn't he ever say how fast it actually goes etc.
our standard model is 30mph, we are introducing a 50mph starting next month
Granny ride 😅
Granny with style :)
It's like the "roma" another vespa like moped. 2kw and 25miles of range is not enought to me.
Hello Jean! We have increased our Range to 70 miles now!
what is the link of that girl?)
Yo why not get a Honda Navi instead of this (MSRP $1807, 55mph top speed, 109cc engine) or if your hellbent on electric, Razor RSF650 with Sur Ronster 72V upgrade package (35-40 mph, $600 for bike and $1750 for package so only $2300 total
I agree
It’s great to have so many amazing options!
Can someone contact the companies and have them send us one of each so we can test them? 😂
@@freshlycharged lol that would be fun
I’m considering just solely based off of the looks. I want something like a Vespa, but electric.
It's a scooter! Not a moped...
Moped implies that it has pedals
Moped = MOtor + PEDals 👍
Not a "mo-ped." Vespas have no "ped," just 50cc "mo." They are sit down scooters.
"Vespa like"
If it didn't scream nerd-mobile I'd be interested.
Black sounds like it be better for you. The mint green does stand out.
@@Andrew-vt4jt yeah I can't go wrong with black.
I'm a life long nerd and I love it!
@@freshlycharged I am too believe me but I'd rather have the ariel rider grizzly.
We ltalians .. are more Lamberetta 1957 TV175 Style Guys
If your supplier wishes to Electrogenticly Clone An iconic italian Scooter.. Here's an idea.. Choose the Best 😃
Why do you call it a moped? There are no pedals so it is NOT a moped.
Vespa=slow 25 to 30 I'm 14 I rip my moped going 55mph it was like 2k the moped it just put on bigbore crank some other things
How is that a moped? That is a scooter, a moped has pedals to be used as a form of propulsion.
Moped =/= Scooter!
They charge a $100+ "transaction fee" that is totally lame. Decided not to buy.
Hello Danny, if you decide to buy we will give you a promo code in order to waive the transaction fee for you :)
30mph just doesn't cut it in the North American market, especially given the USA's liberal gun laws.
She didn't like it, clearly it's a cheapo fake copy. If you can't do the fit and finish, you shouldn't try to copy a classic.
I wanted to like this. The batteries not being parallel is a total fail. That hatch is hit garbage and this thing weighs way too much.
Hard pass.
Sorry, not a moped, no pedals.
What a joke it's 3600.00 and 1400.00 for a extra battery. No thanks vespa time now ...
Up close it looks like a Barbie doll bike..just saying!
Her moped is not a classic styled Vespa .
She has a scooter, not a moped. And it actually is a classic styled Vespa.

You don't have to mention it's quiet. Electric scooters have existed for at least a decade now, we all know they are quiet.
Lux vs crap
Stupid looking for 2022.
fck that . 25 miles then you need a charge? whahahaha scooters are good on gas so buy a gas one for less that goes way faster than 30 mph . if it went 100 miles on a charge then maybe . plus if your not a bony skinny person then you will not exceed 20 mph ESPECIALLY up a hilly road. good looks is the only thing going for this scooter . the rest is a joke . an overpriced joke at that . wait until technology gets better for electric scooters . IT'S NOT THERE YET FOR INEXPENSIVE ELECTRIC SCOOTERS AND NEITHER IS THE PRICE
We just introduced the 70 miles range version! stay tuned for the new Jimmy Chang Video!
