For those who didn't get it Example: √126 First do prime factorisation 2 |126 3 | 63 3 | 21 7 * Now √126=2•3•3•7 = 2•3²•7 (Take the squared digits outside) = 3²√2•7 √126 = 3√14 (Hope you get it 🙂)

It's called simplifying radicals, plenty of videos about the subject here on UA-cam. In this particular case 3675 was divided with 3 = 1225 1225/5=245 245/5=49 49/7=7 7/7=1 So the prime factors are 3, 5, 5, 7, 7
I was sick when I was in middle school and missed the whole unit on this... I'm graduating soon and I'm not sure how I got this far without knowing how to do this at all.
The way I figured it out is by taking 3675 and dividing it by 5 as a start. I did this because I know that dividing 3675 by 5 will result in a whole integer. 3675 / 5 = 735... 735 can be further divided 735 / 5 = 147... 147 can be divided 147 / 3 = 49... 49 can be divided again 49 / 7 = 7... 7 can be divided once more 7 / 7 = 1... and this is where we stop So now we take all of the numbers that were used in breaking 3675 into 1, so that is 5, 5, 3, 7, 7. Now that the pieces are together, we can simplify the √3675 into √5*5*3*7*7

Yea but how the fuck do I get the base sq root to (3*5*5*7*7)?
by factoring
Anthony Rand how do you figure out the factors that quickly
my same problem how do you get these numbers to 3675 / 300 how ??????
The way I figured it out is by taking 3675 and dividing it by 5 as a start. I did this because I know that dividing 3675 by 5 will result in a whole integer.
3675 / 5 = 735... 735 can be further divided
735 / 5 = 147... 147 can be divided
147 / 3 = 49... 49 can be divided again
49 / 7 = 7... 7 can be divided once more
7 / 7 = 1... and this is where we stop
So now we take all of the numbers that were used in breaking 3675 into 1, so that is 5, 5, 3, 7, 7.
Now that the pieces are together, we can simplify the √3675 into √5*5*3*7*7
