    You explain math in a way that’s calming and straightforward. I’m horrible at math and panic when presented with math problems. I’ve had tutors actually laugh at me for not understanding. I’m cramming for a final and I’m so glad i found your video because I finally understand the content. Thank you so much.

      Totally not, same thing with me (also Brazilian). Perhaps it's because, as english is not our first language, we just happen to pay a little bit more attention to the words and this results in a more focused learning?

    @NancyPi, I'm impressed by how much info you include in the notes. Great job! I used to tutor math students, and saw so many people failing with the algebra. It's nice to see you emphasizing those things. I always emphasized liberal use of parentheses to help students with sloppy habits.

      @@nayyerirbaz9408 She puts the glass up in front of the camera, gets behind the glass, writes BACKWARDS on the glass (So that it appears frontwards on the glass on-screen for us!), and then edits her lecture. Or has an editor, who knows! That's why she time-lapses her writing bits, it takes a lot longer to write backwards when it's something hard lol

    @16:32, why is it not 23+9 root 6 since we are just adding two root 3s? You wrote it as 23+9root3. How did you get the root 3? Love your videos by the way.

    Well, most radicals (部首) are simplified either as comparisons to running script or by the transformation of the traditional character into something easier to write and hopefully symbolically evocative. If instead you mean simplification of a radical (部首) to its abbreviated form, in principle the abbreviated form retains the structure of the radical (部首) but with fewer and shorter strokes. If instead you mean calculus then I really can't help you. Which is why I am watching this video instead of memorizing even more Chinese characters...

    The square root of 16 is plus or minus 4 not just positive 4. -4*-4 is also 16.
