I disagree with several of your points, but it comes down to taste and actual needs.
The Wheelspeed Pro (WS1 / X1) is one of the BEST DEALS I've seen for a well built commuter scooter. You can usually pick it up for about $400-$450 (Amazon / Walmart) and it's better than anything in that price range from GoTrax, HiBoy, etc. Of course, if you spend $600+ you can find better options (depending on a person's needs).
I'm super happy with mine and I've already put nearly 1.5k miles on it. A great commuter for what I need, and i personally think the build quality is solid.
It's not unusual for a scooter company to post unrealistic range stats. I wish that wasn't the case, but it is. Real world range for me, at 160lbs is about 14-18 miles depending on hills, etc.
A much more comfortable ride than the Ninebot Max frame design and its clones.
Overall, a good review that makes great points.
It's not a perfect scooter, but one of the best I've owned out of 7 different brands/models.
I own one and I think its really well built. Also the lights on the sides are extremely useful to make you visible for night rides.

I picked one up for $300 on Amazon. My main concern is the tires going flat.

I hate mine .the tires go flat and are a hassle to get tubes for . I would like to find a solid tire that would fit the rim on this e scooter .
This scooter LOCKS forever in the folded position & you'll have to search everywhere for someone to even agree to repair it as bike shops & mechanics DO NOT work on scooters. The tires flatten easily & you can't just pump it.... You'll have to buy a $30-$60 replacement tire PLUS pay more than that for it to be installed.
Tires you buy online ARE 99 PERCENT not sized for this scooter... Good luck finding the right one
Lasted just under a year. Very few parts on their website. Wheelspeed support is little to non existent but then again they do no offer this model anymore and maybe moved on to selling and making money on their next model! Would not buy from this company ever again.
