It's not about the money to some it's about how you treat them and speak to them. I've had men get nasty and tell me to f off plenty of times to be polite back and walk away and then to then feel bad and ask me back and let me take the metal purely due to been polite and decent. I have regulars who give me big weigh ins once a year and won't take a penny and one of those jobs alone netted me 27k in 4 days but I've had people also ask for money for broken washers. Some people get pleasure out of helping others

2:22+that wrinkled metal is aluminum or al u mini um as some you like to call it and that fan motor isn't as easy to breakout as you think,you often have to cut the fan off after you remove it from the outer frame.
TIP 1. Because you lost one handtruck in the past; make outside youre van a hook. And use it for the handtruck. So it costs no space in the back of the truck. TIP 2 ; take tools with you when you go out for scrapping.I recommand a snipper and a screwdriver and perhaps a drill.
Are you kidding fella scrap and rubbish clearance is absolutely manically busy at moment ,20 years doing this job I have never been busier ,plumbers and builders are flat out and those people working from home or stuck at home have plenty of time to sort there sheds and garages out but nowhere to get rid so they pay us to use trade tips etc 😁😁👍👍

Looking at the colour of pump it's for potable water so probably either bronze or stainless little difficult to tell on video, nice electric motors in those fans ,The place you picked up the 3 pumps you should have dropped a business card as the resident is obviously a commercial plumber as those bits were defo not domestic stuff 😁😁
Is there a set day when people are told to out out scrap and you know when to collect it? Who sets the day and how do you know when it is for each area? In Manchester it's rare where I live to get a scrap man, sometimes they drive round with a Spenser but it's infrequent and not organised as it seems to be where you live.
Honestly lads love the channel but it's not helping our community one bit as now with all these UA-camrs doing it everyone having a go at it. I've been a scrap man 20 years through the rough and smooth days but finding it harder than ever with every man been a scrap man now . Luckily my 5 kids are reaching a age where it's getting easier financially but if there has been this many scrap man wannabees about when they was young I would of had to work for a living 😂
Not sure. He used to have a guy come round but he just stopped. Now I am his new guy. Don't think he gets loads of copper as he has people working for him that keep it. Very nice guy tho
