    Dear Mike, I am an elderly lady who loves your channel. When you post on weekends, it brightens my day! I am a retired college and high school science teacher and I just love watching you get into the dumpsters and finding so many interesting things. I don't get out much because I am in a wheelchair, but I feel like I'm right beside you when you dig. I'm telling you this in case you ever start to doubt that your channel is meaningful. I mean more than just being entertaining. For me, it's freedom from my chair and age to feel like I'm doing something exciting. Yes, I live vicariously through you and I really enjoy it. UA-cam can suck on the weekends! Much appreciation - monica

      I have personally thrown away a million dollars worth of Hastelloy pipe and pipe fittings because Dupont said to do it. We were never told why we were to trash it into the metal roll off boxes. One of their engineers told us that was a bit over a million dollars worth. The scrap company made out like a bandit on that deal. 6 mths later, they bought more Hastelloy pipe and fittings for that project. We guessed what we threw away was not in spec, making it unsafe to use.

      @@scottuntz4534 Exactly.....when ten minutes of reboxing and placing an ad would bring just slightly less than retail price for that stuff.
      I made lots of money from dumpsters because I knew what I had and sold it for a fair price to the right people and didn't just settle for a few pennies on the dollar at some scrap yard.

    • @unclemeat7310

      @@scottuntz4534yeah, I would much rather make $.10 on the dollar and walk away with $500 instead of $100. There's contractors that would jump on buying that stuff as one large lot.

      @todddenio3200 10 місяців тому +12

      That he did but as usual he scrapped everything for a little of nothing. You can always count on him to throw away money because he is too impatient to wait a short time to actually sell the things he finds to someone who will actually use them even though he would have made literally 20 times as much as he gets for scrapping it. If he would actually sell the stuff online he would be rich
