I wasn’t hyperactive but did get into trouble at school from time to time. Once I was late to class because I was carrying glassware to be used in art class. I went to the principals office and explained why I was late and then took the tardy slip to the teacher. The next thing I knew the teacher was calling me a liar in front of the entire class. The principal had written that I was carrying the glassware for her class, not TO her class. She told me to write a theme. I forget now how many words. When I got home I recalled that there was an old theme book in the bookcase. The theme I chose from that college theme book was “Old Age Pensions for Retirement Age Teachers”. I never had anymore trouble with her for the rest of my school days.
She was my science teacher in the 7th grade and she was a good teacher. But sometimes science can become hazardous. She was also my homeroom teacher also. Still makes me laugh almost 20 years later!

Try being a teachers kid. Mom knew basically everything that I did from 7th grade on till I graduated from High School. It was mandatory to take her SR. English class. I was a pest. She cought me doing something in the hallway at school and she called me over to her door of classroom and she told me to remind her that when we got home that she owed me a spanking. When we got home. I looked around for belts because that was my parents choice to use in spanking so I reminded her. It didn't matter she found something else. We both laugh about it today.
