From PA and drove from Vegas to St George and back last week. Yet I’m here watching this drive again cause I didn’t have much time to appreciate the river, cliffs, and the highway needling through the gorge when driving myself. Spectacular scenery! I’m sold on moving out west.
Las Vegas is a city that epitomizes the bright side of America. My husband and I had our first marital quarrel here, but we are still living together happily.
From time to time l find true treasures like this wonderful vid. It gave me a lot of peace and quite. Thank so much for take your time to sharing. Stay safe.
Excellent road, beautiful weather, nice atmosphere, good mood! I love St. George (Harrison), I love Las Vegas! Thank you for this magical mystery journey!
ill tell you one too. take the overton exit and get the pass and then run the boulder city and lake las vegas areas from overton stretch to there its beautiful and i often used that road to bypass vegas traffic to drive up to utah to visit family since i used to live near lake las vegas. saved a ton of hassles its beautiful remote.
I’m from MA and my family and I made the trip to Utah to see Zion and we had to make the Vegas to Springdale drive and I was driving through the canyons in the dark and let me tell ya it was one of the most windy and stressful drives of my life but looking back it’s something I’ll never forget
Sounds like a fun trip! The Gorge can be a bit intimidating at times, especially if there are a lot of semis on the road, but it's definitely a fantastic stretch of road. Thanks for watching!
Dropping into the gorge from St George is one of my favorite drives. Rivals Glenwood Canyon. Such a beautiful stretch of freeway and another extremely expensive one to build. You guys should drive through Snow Canyon NW of St George. Beautiful area.
I grew up in southern utah. Made this drive countless times to Vegas and to California along 15. While I will always miss it I’m a southern boy now after living in Florida for 10 years. There is nothing like the green trees of the southern states like Georgia and Alabama. Watching this makes me appreciate all the green even more. Will always love the West Coast but there’s something about the East Coast that’s a lot prettier
Abraço direto do Brasil!!
I took this drive once and really enjoyed it, especially the gradual descent into Vegas and of course driving thru the gorge. Vegas is one of those cool cities that one approaches from above using all the major freeways, so it can be seen for some distance. When I took this route, it was the only time I stayed in downtown Vegas and I really enjoyed it, less crowded and more laid back than the strip, but with the indoor light show quite nice. I was lucky once to stay in a Caesar's suite overlooking the strip with my wife, it had a huge two person spa. It was a free trip, including a dinner, because my wife had organized a charity event sponsored by Caesars in Phoenix, so they awarded her with a free trip for the help she provided them. We enjoyed Caesars, our main love, the forum shops, and the staff was so hospitable to us. Now Phoenix, where we live, has more casinos, a few mega resorts, than Reno Nevada, the city is ringed with them and some are as large gaming wise as Vegas casinos. One opened down the street I live on, but I am not drawn to go to any of them, though I did some years ago to eat out, they do not have the shopping that Vegas casinos have though some have the entertainment. Also, I was rooms/f&b/entertainment controller at Harrah's Tahoe, and got out of the habit of gambling then because I felt gambling was a conflict of interest as a bonded controller back then. Even after I left the job, I can only count a handful of times, especially after becoming a Dad, that I went gambling since Vegas was quite a drive and I was also often sent to teach hotel business classes there and did not want the distraction. That said, now that the Hoover Dam bypass bridge is there, driving to Vegas is so much easier and a half hour less than the old route over Hoover Dam. I have not done it since '13, but may someday again if I am asked to help a client there. I loved this video, and apologize for hijacking the post with my Nevada nostalgia. I started going there when I was only nine, my first trip to Vegas was in '70 when my school gospel choir had a stop there. Me and my two brothers were all married in Reno since we were raised in the nearby Napa Valley, just a few hours from there by car, and one brother also worked in Reno and was a Fitzgeralds show bar supervisor during filming of Sister Act--the Moonlight Lounge was actually his bar, and his friend and also one of his regular customers can be seen as extras in the film during a brief moment. The movie made it appear that the Moonlight Lounge was actually at the Nevada club, also owned by Fitzgeralds, and sadly the Nevada Club, Harolds, Harrah's, Fitzgeralds and the Downtown Hilton all closed down and only the casinos to the North of the Biggest Little City sign remain.
What a beautiful journey! finally I know how to get to Las Vegas and win that first million dollars 😄! Beautiful architecture means - man can do anything! Thank you, I enjoyed traveling with you!😘
super nice vid, thank you - we were coming back from Zion several years ago and got hit by a pretty hard rain squall on that plateau coming into Vegas, kinda dicey for several minutes as folks checked up, etc. Otherwise it's a super easy drive with some nice scenery.
My son n I had a lot of fun watching this. (He's 3) I was pointing out all the road signs excitedly and then acting upset when the disappeared and he was laughing his head off. These videos are surprisingly relaxing. Do you have the camera mounted outside the car/truck?
interstate 15 travels below this steep canyon known as the virgin river gorge and the views are nice when there is no traffic on the freeway. I can easily see why interstate 215 doesn't travel beyond Las Vegas Nevada. there is no path viable west of the virgin river gorge for interstate 215 to cross over into Utah.
I have traveled on interstate 15 near the virgin river gorge and this stretch of freeway crosses some very treacherous terrain between saint gorge Utah and mesquite Nevada. I was wondering why interstate 215 doesn’t travel continually between Las Vegas and Salt Lake City. I think it’s because there is no path viable for interstate 215 to cross over other than where interstate 15 currently passes over the virgin river gorge. I would of liked it if interstate 215 crossed over from Nevada to Utah since there would be two freeways connecting Las Vegas and Salt Lake City had I-15 and 215 ran continuously between states.
I did this just back in August and I already want to go again so i have to resort to the next best thing Edit: omg we probably did this on the same day
I have driven through the Virgin River Gorge many times during my trips from Las Vegas to Utah. The view never gets old. Great video.
Thanks for riding along with us!
thank you for this beautiful journey From Turkey
Our pleasure! Thanks for watching!
This is a truly vast country.
It sure is, there’s so much empty space out west it’s shocking!
@@AdventureEveryDay I live in Australia. It is mindbogglingly empty.
I drive through the gorge a couple times a month, living in Vegas and spending a lot of time in southern Utah. It's still cool every time.
It never gets old! Thanks for watching!

That's a fantastic route to take as well along Lake Mead on Northshore Road down to Lake Las Vegas and Henderson!

Been through the gorge a lot, Gonna be making the trip for the first time myself, just made sure I wasn't missing anything lol

Amazing video and production. This highway reminds me the Panamerican Route running by the southern Atacama desert in Chile.

Most of the drive was filmed in late August

It would be nice to have 2 interstates connecting SLC and Vegas. It’d be nice to have even 1 interstate connecting Vegas to Phoenix as well.
