I've used AnyList for several years and have found it indispensable. I have 30+ add on Apps on my phone & Mac. If I could only have 2 one would be AnyList
Trying AnyList for the first. I like the idea of being able to share grocery list with my wife. I hate when she calls me saying she is going grocery shopping and what do we need. I can never think of all the items we need. So, now, I can maintain an ongoing list and share with her anytime. Thanks for the video.
Michael - you're going to love Anylist. My husband and I share the house "To do" list. I recently added other lists like keeping track of our car maintenance. Also medical information for both of us like allergies, meds, etc. Because I live in Southern CA, we have lots of family visiting all the time. I created a list of "things to see/do" and our favorite places to eat as people continually ask me. I just have them add the app and give them access.
Wonderful video. I was just looking for a general tutorial on any list. I just signed our family up so that we can have a very efficient way to manage the grocery shopping list between all family members. I had no idea any list can be used in this way. And we need it!
Just discovered you and we had any list and loved it but not hardly using all of its features. It is December 2019. I’m pretty confused on category set their purpose so hopefully you have a video about that. Love what you’re talking about so far! I just get a little bit lost because I think I need some of the basics figured out first
I'm going to have to subscribe to your channel! I checked out your video list and you have so many interesting tips & tricks. I will be watching all your old videos as well as your new ones. I just got the Any List family plan today and need all the help I can get. Thank you! Oops, this is my son's iPad. Going sub on mine now. 😂
Ok, I'm here. I'm the one that signed up on my son's iPad. Well, unfortunately it's my iPad now because he passed away in September 2018. I just can't bring myself to change the name yet.
also, do you know if there is a way for me to move shopping list items I've purchased into an inventory list? I keep forgetting that I already have an item and repurchasing the same item. I also wished they had a lifetime purchase instead of subscriptions. Thanks for this video and your help!
Hi, Diana -- I don't know of a way to do this, but I think it might be overwhelming for me to keep up with an inventory list like that. I still keep my freezer list, but for all of my other food inventory, I store multiples (like 2 of each item) and then put it on my shopping list when I'm opening the last one in the cabinet. That system seems to work well for me. Let me know if you think of a way that works better for you!
@@marblejarchannel i think you're right. sounds like a cool idea but is overwhelming. will only last me a couple of weeks before i give up. i love the freezer idea though and maybe even spices, since i tend to forget those a lot. may i ask if you're using their meal planning feature? so i came to your channel for anylist but now i'm binging your vids. my adhd brain is obsessed with the content and i'm learning so much. crazy how you're presenting on topics i'm interested in (all on one channel)! thank you!
AnyList lets one set quantity. That number then displays in parentheses after the item name. Is there a reason you write quantity as part of the item name?
Just a preference to do everything in the subject line. Although I would love it if they would check off one quantity at a time. That would make me use that feature! Thanks for the comment.
@@marblejarchannel I doubt it. It's likely aimed at things like buying 4 cans of corn. But just as now you edit the item to reduce by 1, you'd have to edit the item to click reduce the number by 1. Anywhoodle, thanks for the ideas on different ways to use AnyList.

Great job! Clear. Concise. Very well presented.
I’m considering the app so your tutorial was extremely informative. Thanks!

Hi, WifiGranny - this made my heart ache a bit. Thanks for subscribing.
I'm testing out different grocery shopping lists.. just curious if you're still using anylist?
I am and still love it!

Can you share list by app and not by email?
Yes, you can share within the app, but that is a premium feature. Any changes will show up in everyone’s shared list.
Oh AnyList, is there anything you can't do?
