Made me cry. No one should have to go hungry, or be unsafe, living under a bypass. I have thought about people in this situation many times this winter. So….my son and I bought Christmas dinners for as many people as we could. It was incredibly rewarding.
I was forced to sleep at a railway station because I could not find a place to stay and had to wait for my salary. I am by no means in his situation as I am an international student in Germany but those few days humbled me and taught me how precious life is and how everyone is narcissisticly selfish and only thinks about themselves. Thank you for helping people out and hopefully there will be more people inspired to do the same because of you.

@@sophiel3590 you'd be surprised, depending on location homeless populations are drastically different, a lot are homeless due to drug use, and if you've never done hard drugs, I'll let you know they become more a priority to get more than food, and eating usually kills any high you get, so starving to maintain that high becomes a norm to some homeless people. I know the ones where I live will legit go sell food they're given to homeless people with cash or drugs, and try to return merchandise to a store again for the cash so they can buy drugs or alcohol. That's not to say all homeless people are like that, but enough are to make this specific interaction stand out.

@@andrearichardson6426 I’m in the same boat where I spent half a year in the most violent and drug-infested shelter in Brooklyn and one of the worst in all of NYC and I’m disabled and had trouble keeping my guard up and protecting myself so I got my wallet and phone and money robbed on three separate occasions and was constantly getting sick from the lack of a proper ventilation system in the 125-year-old building. Eventually I broke my good hand twice in six weeks on violent felon parolees faces defending myself from the last two muggings and the last time I had just gotten my cast off a few days before but had to break it again and then badly displace the break retrieving my notebook with all my writings and drawings and notes and contact info, at which point I didn’t even bother with the cast again for six more weeks and finally swallowed my pride and returned home to live with my alcoholic Mom with occasional visits to my alcoholic/tweaker father and while the thefts (as long as I avoid new closeted addict “friends” stealing my pain meds) and most of the physical violence are now dealt with, the verbal/emotional/psychological abuse is worse than it ever could have been in the shelter. I felt far more camaraderie from other homeless people than even my own birth family, and it’s destroying my mental health to live here, but I’m too chronically sick to leave. Hope you’re holding together alright in spite of such a similar situation 💔

What a sweet guy. I'm ashamed to say I'm sometimes scared when I see homeless people. This really makes me reevaluate. Reaching out and asking what THEY need and actually TALKING to them is definitely the way to go.

Being homeless means getting both sides of people: some are kind and caring like you and others go out of their way to be mean. I had people spit on me, throw hot coffee at me, etc. seeing those kinds made it hard to have faith in the good, so when you have someone show any amount of kindness, that part alone means everything. One of our local homeless guys actually froze to death also. He was a very humble and had some gentle mental illness that made it hard for him to really find his place. He was well known around here since I was a kid "Im now 36" but he would never really take help from anyone without physically working for it. I guess I found out after he passed that he actually left his friends and family because he didnt want to burden people, hence why he never accepted help from anyone any that seemed to be his fate. Sad stuff man. Your doing amazing stuff and genuinely are changing lives. Like LITERALLY changing outcomes and adding days.
Heartbreaking The joy in the man’s fave for a few things we take for granted each and every day is humbling. I often buy the homeless a coffee and and a sandwich but never thought of sleeping bags and gloves until now. Thank you for your generosity to this complete stranger 👌👏👏
My aunt got locked out last year in the middle of the night during a snow storm, she had early stage dementia, she froze to death, you prob did save my man, this is just heart breaking, thank you for doing what u do , I’m sure it makes more of an impact than you will ever know

I went to a homeless shelter recently to serve some people and man it just burdened my heart for them. I love these videos and I love the awareness it’s bringing to the needs these people have. @@andrearichardson6426 I’m in the same boat where I spent half a year in the most violent and drug-infested shelter in Brooklyn and one of the worst in all of NYC and I’m disabled and had trouble keeping my guard up and protecting myself so I got my wallet and phone and money robbed on three separate occasions and was constantly getting sick from the lack of a proper ventilation system in the 125-year-old building. Eventually I broke my good hand twice in six weeks on violent felon parolees faces defending myself from the last two muggings and the last time I had just gotten my cast off a few days before but had to break it again and then badly displace the break retrieving my notebook with all my writings and drawings and notes and contact info, at which point I didn’t even bother with the cast again for six more weeks and finally swallowed my pride and returned home to live with my alcoholic Mom with occasional visits to my alcoholic/tweaker father and while the thefts (as long as I avoid new closeted addict “friends” stealing my pain meds) and most of the physical violence are now dealt with, the verbal/emotional/psychological abuse is worse than it ever could have been in the shelter. I felt far more camaraderie from other homeless people than even my own birth family, and it’s destroying my mental health to live here, but I’m too chronically sick to leave. Hope you’re holding together alright in spite of such a similar situation 💔

I've been thinking to do something similar for a long time because of horrible situation I have to live in at the moment at home. Most likely it will be even worse out there, even tho it seems like it can't get any worse than it is right now.
We're so appreciative of anything given to us because we rarely get that help.

What a sweet guy. I'm ashamed to say I'm sometimes scared when I see homeless people. This really makes me reevaluate. Reaching out and asking what THEY need and actually TALKING to them is definitely the way to go.

That genuine smile when you were handing him stuff ❤️ this makes more of a difference than you realize. Being homeless means getting both sides of people: some are kind and caring like you and others go out of their way to be mean. I had people spit on me, throw hot coffee at me, etc. seeing those kinds made it hard to have faith in the good, so when you have someone show any amount of kindness, that part alone means everything. Bless you for all you do ❤

One of our local homeless guys actually froze to death also. He was a very humble and had some gentle mental illness that made it hard for him to really find his place. He was well known around here since I was a kid "Im now 36" but he would never really take help from anyone without physically working for it. I guess I found out after he passed that he actually left his friends and family because he didnt want to burden people, hence why he never accepted help from anyone any that seemed to be his fate. Sad stuff man. Your doing amazing stuff and genuinely are changing lives. Like LITERALLY changing outcomes and adding days.

The joy in the man’s fave for a few things we take for granted each and every day is humbling. I often buy the homeless a coffee and and a sandwich but never thought of sleeping bags and gloves until now. Thank you for your generosity to this complete stranger 👌👏👏

My aunt got locked out last year in the middle of the night during a snow storm, she had early stage dementia, she froze to death, you prob did save my man, this is just heart breaking, thank you for doing what u do , I’m sure it makes more of an impact than you will ever know

I usually ddnt give help to those that ask for money but after seeing what you do for others i give where ever i can. We have so many that take money for drugs but i don't judge anymore, i just give. Thank you for your act of kindness 😊

I went to a homeless shelter recently to serve some people and man it just burdened my heart for them. I love these videos and I love the awareness it’s bringing to the needs these people have. They all are people who need to be shown love and that someone genuinely cares for them. Keep up the good work brotha!
