- DES MOINES, Iowa - Ron DeSantis is a man on the move, and in Iowa, he needs to quickly make a big one if he hopes to catch Donald Trump. After all, the clear GOP primary frontrunner has exhibited a Teflon quality.
"Trump does obviously have a certain segment that's very strong," DeSantis acknowledged. However, he sees an opening. "A lot of these people, though, that come up in these polls, a lot of them are soft. I mean, they remember him, they liked his policies, but they are willing to vote for somebody else."
Before getting to Trump, he needs to head off upstart challenger Nikki Haley. Both are battling it out to be the last candidate standing against Trump. "She's not going to be able to win Iowa, I can, DeSantis told CBN News. "And the reason is because you have to appeal to core Republicans and conservatives. I think she really represents more of the old establishment type of thinking."

Someone please explain to me why we would intentionally kneecap ourselves by nominating trump, who is the most hated man in the US, can only serve one term, and isn’t even a conservative. As a Navy vet, I agree with Governor DeSantis' assessment of using our military assets to fight for freedom and democracy on foreign soil only to achieve specific strategic objectives and vital interests to our nation, not a prolonged war. We need someone with wartime experience and a born-again Christian like Bush to lead our country. DeSantis, not Trump, will be able to deliver tangible results.

Speaking of a heart-wrenching abortion case in Texas, I remember being asked whether we wanted to have a procedure done to determine whether our son might have Down Syndrome considering my wife's higher risk due to her age. We said no that we put our trust completely in God. Another couple we know had the procedure done and the doctor recommended termination of the pregnancy. With a strong faith in God, the couple went through the pregnancy against the doctor's advice and had a healthy baby. They are very grateful for having made the best decision.
I have heard this kind of thing many times. Doctor wrong about child in womb. I became a widow at age 37 because of some medical mistakes

How often in the Bible, after healing, does Jesus say, "Your faith has saved you?" Our culture has a fundamental lack of faith. Sorry to hear about your situation and pray all is well.

DeSantis is my favorite. Trump did a lot but he has too much baggage. I think DeSantis can win because he doesn't have a bunch of confusing baggage and verbal mistakes. Love our governor.. he has done great things for Florida. He will do the same in Washington. He has military experience, is a brilliant attorney, and young. President Trump has lost sight of America.
