I always think this kind of content, with a full coordinated team of really great players, is way more fun to watch than solo clutch content. That stuff's cool too, don't get me wrong, but there's something unbelievably satisfying about a really competent group working together like a machine to make their way through a mission methodically. Great stuff and congrats on the title!

Not a humblebrag, if anything it's frustrating because my favorite moments are when your team gets pants-shittingly overwhelmed. So I'm really happy they're adding havoc, it looks insane from this video. When you guys were playing at the top levels, was there any room for build experimentation or was it strictly meta stuff?
my build is pretty out there, and I have tried several different builds on Zealot. Using all 3 keystones. Ogryn I only did one build and after that I've played one dome psyker build and some unsuccesful games as a shooty vet. Its gonna be a while before I can say what is viable and what definitely isn't but it is a pretty hard mode, some things will likely not make the cut.
@ nah that makes sense and is totally fine. I wouldn't want everything to be viable but I've been trying lots of weird stuff too since the crafting rework. It looks like all the new weapons can hold their own though!
This whole Havoc- System is just proof that 90% of Content Creator Clowns are useless/detrimental as Playtesters. Weekly Reward in that stupid Crate is just Plasteel,Diamantine and Dockets instead of Aquilas. smh
I really wouldn't expect fatshark to have put aquilas in the game as an earnable. Did someone say fatshark was considering aquilas as a reward? IF they did they shouldn't put them in havoc they should put them in every game mode so anyone can farm for them. That's a way better implementation and people won't be mad about being difficulty locked.
I'd say they need to play test the game with lower level players or bad players. If playtest with only the highest skill level you slowly skew the game to unplayable for most folk.
What exactly does the second level of the negative modifier do when it already removed toughness grace and increased gunner speed? Edit: did the first level do something else entirely?
I think its just a matter of by _how much_ the enemy spawn rates, rates of fire and damage buffs enemys get are enhanced. But don't quote me on that, I haven't looked into the deep code.

Congrats on your 40 win. It is on the pre-release I was given access too. But it should be identical to the shipped version. Some of our own havoc 40 wins were more intense than this one. Some less. I suspect it has to do with the map and mood of the director.

Weirdly almost no toughness talents. Just the warp kill one. Then the soulblaze one. Then just down the left side across into dome then down into warp charges. Trauma and bubble with a bleed/crit knife.

I just played a lvl 25 Havoc and honestly that seems harder than a 40 in a way. we got sprayed with gas from the ground+increased gas bombers+enemies putting green stuff on the ground. I see alot more spawns on 40 but i'd prefer that over getting insane corruption all the time. How are you supposed to deal with that?
I still dont get how the rank up system works. We played up to 7 in a team on day one but 2/3 people stayed at trust level 1 the whole time. I played a havoc 20 today with randoms but i am still trust level 7.
It works badly! You can directly level up your missions by playing them but if you play someone else's you only level up your rank. You get a new mission at your rank Sunday night.

I can't get a match. The matches I got so far only helped the host complete their mission. So to get a mission progression I have to get a team to join my mission. As soon as I do I get folk starting their missions. When we are done they leave. The mode is dead to me on arrival by design. I did three missions. Two were for my mission or so I thought, turns out I'd ones somebody else's as the UI is so crap I could not tell. So I went back to the normal game.

Well, I haven't played Havoc, but I find more often than not that you can make the heaviest-damage, slowest-shooting Infantry Lasgun viable if you build for ranged damage, Opening Shot and Deadly Accuracy for perks with Maniac/Flak, and the Weapon Customization Mod to stick a Ranger's Vigil scope on it. It still kinda sways even with a god roll (Mobility is the dump stat), but it'll one-shot headshot most specialists and works pretty well to deal with shooter trash as long as you can hit your headshots. You'll need a melee weapon and/or kraks to deal with armor, and the melee weapon also has to have decent horde clear. But it works, more or less.
So - kinda yes. I didn't have time to fully test it but I'm going to recommend a diseased kind of build with survivalist, voice of command and Marksman's Focus and a lasgun. Get a good melee weapon that is relatively quick moving. I can't say it'll clear 40 because I haven't proved it but I think it could.
I love how in this game a fanatic is usually stronger then a fuqn ogryn. Anyways, can't wait to snipe a sniper with an autocannon from a hundred meters away
Launch state. The game play for Xbox has been terrible. Randomly the game will error and say,"sorry a error has occurred, and the mission has aborted." Fatshark still hasn't fix many issues that causes Xbox players to DC. With the disconnects, players can be penalized. Sometimes it treats it like the player intentionally disconnected. Reconnected player placed in captured, awaiting to be rescued. Yes, many in the past forced closed the game to get out of nets, or not ruin their chance of getting the penance titles. But these random errors are not helping the XBOX players to enjoy the game. Especially when the player is doing well then get aborted.
Unfortunately server issues are always a huge challenge. Something may work fine in testing then break when the live servers are on boarded. Sometimes its not any individual server that can be identified but a particular server computer etc

Id say 40 is significantly harder, closer to playing a duo monstrous maelstrom though obviously with less monsters.

Mostly just numeric UI and guarantee weapon swap/ability activation or dodge counter. The rest i use for filming.

Yes. Personally I think ammo economy is too harsh in havoc. I don't enjoy ammo as a limiting factor in darktide.

Thats havoc, I dunno if its a bug or not. I think its due to the corruption damage calculation being applied before the damage maybe.
Made it to 23 and the only thing thats bs about this mode is the hyper machine gun gunners that beam you across the room with no respite
