I can listen to Dominique speak for hours and hours. Well spoken with so much respect and wisdom. And a ton of humility. What a great man. This man played when MEN ruled.
Now this is how you do it! Bring the OGs on and let them tell their stories and relive some of the greatest moments in their lives instead of comparing eras and putting them down. All the smoke and Knuckleheads always get it right 🙌🏾
Big Celtics fan back in the day. Don't think I ever missed a game against Atlanta, Dominique always brought it just wish we would have got him when we had Larry :D Fun fact Dominique is last player to score a basket in Boston Garden before TD Garden.
Man.. I’m only two minutes in and I’m already smiling! My childhood is full of great memories of The Human Highlight Film giving fools the business on the court! The stories are endless and if you are Generation X you know that nobody was better then the 80’s players! One of the greatest players ever! Respect 🫡 to Dominique!
I got to see a few of his games against the Celitcs and Bird. He was an unreal scorer and also extremely clutch. His athleticism was insane so he could do anything inside, but he could also shoot that rock. He deserves all the props.
He was NICE!!! People don’t understand I watched hardwood classic of him and highlights I’m a true fan of basketball but Kobe my fav all time ever 😂 human highlight reel
I just watched a rookie kobe try to guard Nique in the post, when Nique was with the spurs. Never knew they crossed paths, look it up. Nique cooked him!@@LaughAlil
He was a freak of nature he was hurt in college playing in the NIT final four he caught a tap dunk and I swear his chest was at the rim almost. With a pulled hamstring too
I remember doc rivers saying Dominique’s jumping ability was at penthouse level. Still one of the best comparisons I’ve ever heard. Wilkins was a badddd man too. all the smoke is back! Keep up the great work guys! 💨🏀
Ive got a Dominique story. My uncle moved to Boston or near Boston everyone claims but some other town. Anyways my uncle was a painter and won a painting job via a poker game with friends. The prize he won was to paint the house of Dominique Wilkins when he was traded to Boston Celtics. I was the bball kid in our family and loved the nba more than anything so he made sure he got a few autographs for me and my older brother. I still have it and cherish it. I absolutely loved watching Dominique and feel bad he didn't like his time with Boston. Chris ford made him miserable I guess. Alot of players hate Boston . I feel blessed to have watched his whole career and see him go up against the other legends from that era. They helped me to fall in love with the game of basketball as a teenager.
I'm a Tarheel resident and this guy and Alvis Rogers who went to Wake Forest were one of many stars to birth their careers in NC. We are forever so proud.
Being born in the 80s some of my first memories of NBA Basketball was "The Human Highlight Film" Dominique Wilkins battling Larry Bird and both might have 40 points, Nique doesn't get his respect should've been on that Top50 NBA List, Man could roll out of bed and get 30 points and highlights all night!
@@enniol8043 if you're saying what game just look up Dominique Wilkins and Larry Bird battles it'll pop up, the Old School NBA wasn't so bad as they try to say nowadays!
Nique had the misfortune of being sandwiched between Magic/Bird and Jordan eras. I’m not sure there has ever been a more explosive, more consistently entertaining player to watch. His 4th quarter shootout with Bird, Game 7, is as good as it gets. He’s vastly underrated, and of course Kobe loved his game.
Dominique is a great story teller, I could listen to him talking all day. Such a class act guy. Thank you Nique for all the memories! You are one of the best!
Dominique Wilkins was RI-DICULOUS...sometimes players' nicknames can be fascinating when they're authentic. And there's a reason why this guy has been nicknamed " the human highlight- film". The play at 0:30 is ridiculous. What a savage ! Jordan respected him because he never backdown from him. He should have been in the top 50 but the NBA corrected the mistake in the top 75 list.
Can’t believe how happy I am to see Nique on here! Following Kemp too! You be spoiling us old folk guys :) Being in the UK and watching these guys play in the 80’s and 90’s… man, they were real life super hero’s. Damn, they could fly man! You’ve made me so happy today. Nique was always the prime physical specimen. In his short shorts. That Jordan scoring stat is unreal! Please get Muggsy on the show. Would love to hear his stories, as a small man in the land of giants.
I'm sitting here listening to Nique talkin' about Jordan, then Bird and in my head I say "I'd love to hear him talk about King because lord knows he has got to respect the man and nobody gives him the love he deserves." I was born in the 70s and I'm grateful to have seen that era of basketball. Nique was one of the absolute best on the court, but my respect goes much further than that...he's just stellar dude and truly great players that recognize the greatness of others get even more of my respect.
I met the OG in Chicago right after I graduated from boot camp at the airport and he was so nice and respectful, just a real genuine man . He even took a pic with me.
this show is the replacement to "Open Court"... absolutely wonderful.. i'd walk all day on all 4s to hear jack laugh.. you guys are killing it! love it, thank you Matt, thank you Jack! please someone tell me if there's someone any cooler than Nique.. i'll call BS.

Nique was my first all time favorite player. I was born in 83 and we didn't have cable tv or video games. Agreed, but at least they made up for it and put him on the Top75. There were 5-6 guys robbed on that as well.
No doubt, he deserved to be in there in 96’.
