I have a relative who worked security for the Celtics back then and I can confirm that the Honey Nut Cheerios thing is Not real , garnet never said that. At the time Carmelo and Lala was going through a rough patch because of Melo messing with other women and lala was also pregnant expecting her and Melo 2nd child. But the stress from their relationship cause her to lose the baby. Only select few ppl around the league knew about this, and KG brought it up to try and throw Melo off his game and like Melo said , it’s certain lines you don’t cross. It’s a sensitive subject which is why I understand why even til this day Melo doesn’t want to repeat what KG said
