Thanks dude, I need to do all the bushings and tie rod ends so i think I'll drain out the power steering fluid and drop the rack with the sub frame. Thanks on the video it helps to visualize it before doing it
Have to drop my subframe as I have to gain access to the oil pan. Is the steering column the only thing that I need to secure or worry about dropping down when s.f is removed?
Gotcha, in the previous 20 seconds, I was talking about how you need to remove a bolt and loosen the other Bolt so that a bracket can swivel, that 10 mm bolt that you are looking for is To the left of the Bolt that I told you to fully remove. The arrow is pointing to the Bolt but you can’t see it because that hose line is in the way
Thanks for that.. really help a bunch. Didn't see you needed any engine support or so.? How much time it took from you to do all that work 👏 I Need some time management 😉
@@steveDIY I actually live in British Columbia but I went up to Cali in the summers when I was younger, life's busier now so I only make it down every few years now to visit family.. thanks for the video man, not looking forward to the clutch replacement on my civic but this will make it a lot easier!
Awesome video! I'm going to do this soon to get to my steering rack. It blew a seal and pissed all over my driveway.
Bummer! Well at least it’s in your driveway! Have fun with the repair!
This is one of the best diy videos, he makes it easy to understand and the walk through is awesome... thanks
Thanks for the recap at the end. I was a bit lost as you were taking it off, but the recap at the end really helped.
You got it! Glad it helped 👍🏻
Great video, gotta love those California cars, I live in Pennsylvania no way our frames are this easy.
Some great recommendations and a good tutorial 👌
I need to change the rack and pinion which requires the subframe to be dropped.
looking to replace the tranny bearing and it requires to drop the sub frame but mine it's a 2008 i am sure it is about the same

Best of luck bud!
@@steveDIY hey dude i did the job this last weekend. it was a lot easier than what i was expecting. your video helped out tons

Do you need to remove the subframe to drop the oil pan? Did you crack the top of it or is it leaking?
The only other thing I could see getting in the way would be the down pipe for the exhaust.
Just wondering why you removed the sub frame? We’re you having trouble with it? Great video by the way.
Cal Naughton Jr I was replacing my clutch. Gives you a lot more room to work with
Is this the same process as 2012?
You picked up that subframe yourself! 😲😲😲😮
Good vdo bro...thums up for it
I forgot to strap the steering linkage and its lowered a little , how to fix it ??
Excellent video thanks
You didnt need to use a hoist to hold the motor up?
No, just a car jack
Were is that 10mm located? I can’t tell were it is.
Can you be a little bit more specific on where you are talking about?

That 10 mm bolt is holding that hose on that is in front of that bracket that you need to loosen
DIY Dude sweet thanks for clearing that up for me!!! And keep up the good work bro your doing all of us a public service
I know I'm late to the party, but is this the same for a 7th gen?

Ibrahim ELTONY hey bud it takes about 30 mins to remove it if you follow the steps. I had an engine support with a bottle jack and piece of wood
How do you aligned it when put back together ?
Ramsey thewonderDog what part are you referring to the transmission or clutch
