For some unknown reason, BMW decided to squash the cross over pipe into an odd shape. This creates backpressure, slower exhaust gasses, and robs turbo responsiveness. This full 3 inch pipe elminates all of the oem pipe issues, and even deepens the exhaust note a bit as well. This is such an easy install, I don't know why you wouldn't do it. The ceramic coating as well just makes sense.

Pretty sure bmw know what they were doing. They do need to meet massive requirement list to make the green people happy.
I actually feel sorry for the manufacturers these days as politicians make new rules for results that have no basis in engineering or science.
This will add .2 hp. I doubt there is any restriction with the OEM piping. Whole exhaust systems add at best 5rwhp. I appreciate the video but dont expect gains or sound improvement with this.
Changes like this I view as incremental. Each individual change won't make much difference, but the whole being faster, more HP, and better stability. So for this, less heat with the ceramic coating and less back pressure all being a good thing. Plus it's such an easy install, I don't know why you wouldn't do it.
