Thank you Trevor Horn....an absolute genius...i cried and got goosebumps.....and thank you, Dollar....it might have been emotionally difficult from at least one side...very sad & retrospective in the same moment.....Dollar & Trevor Horn.....legends........thank you x
When I first saw Dollar in the 80s I was taken aback by the shear beauty of Thereza ,the sparkle and glow emanating from such a beautiful young woman ,you could clearly see she was in love with David back then , I have never forgotten that first time I saw her , I watched this and I can see in her eyes the pain and hurt she has gone through . But I can also see a small glisten still present in her eyes , it’s such a shame David didn’t share it ,,, I still listen to Dollar now an I’m 63 , I wish that they would rerelease some today .. I wish Thereza all the best in her rebearth of Dollar … a truly beautiful woman inside and out
A superb brilliant performance from David Van Day and Thereza Bazar and and the musicians, backing singers and of course Trevor Horn, thanks for the memories all of you.
I watched them on top of the pops in the 80's and I thought what complete rubbish another milli vanilli but I take it all back they can really sing so sorry to both of you.
It was never hip to like Dollar, but even as a 10cc, Led Zep and Yes fan, I have always loved them. Trevor’s work with them produced absolute classics that I still frequently listen to.
A really accomplished performance and reminder of the sonic boundaries Dollar explored with Trevor Horn's production in the early eighties. Their run of singles was truly impressive. The use of technology and production set the template for so much of the eighties- its evolution might have been very different without it. I have always listened to an eclectic range of music from rock to pop and think Dollar's singles have not been given the credit deserved. The Dollar Album still sounds excellent in its entirety.
Oh --- this really is one of those songs ------ i bough a Dollar LP -- ( vinyl ) and fancied Thereza like CRAZY --This is in high quality -- I wish ------- oh how i wish ! If only she knew !
2004 to celebrate 25 years in the business for Trevor Horn. Part of a Princes Trust concert. I managed to get a copy of DVD titled Slaves To The Rhythm
Like time travel bk to 1982 great days even if I was a secondary school fantastic 👏👌👍🇬🇧💯😘

When this came out in the early 80's I would not admit that I loved song. Oh but I do and don't care who knows that now!

It was great ...from 1982 originally...they have not lost their voices and look fab
Yes indeed I had the words to it in smash hits as well then. Tunes then have stood the test of time as well thank you.
They were both gorgeous back then , still got something here
That was 20 years ago they couldn't do it now
Back in the day I couldn’t stand these I just thought it was cheesy manufactured pop, but my word that was bloody good!

Such a unique sound. David clearly loves to perform. They are so good together. Thanks for the memories x
That crescendo at the end man. A cracking song with South Shields finest on bass. Howay the Lads
Great memories associated when this was first released.
A flawless pop record from Dollar that was taken to the next level by Trevor Horn's production genius.

Remember buying this and Mirror Mirror as a kid with my pocket money. Mirror Mirror is such a stonker of a tune, but Videotech is a masterpiece.

Quick question does anyone know the lyrics that Trevor horn is singing towards the very end of the song
I’m hoping to find that out too!
Videoteque was my favourite
Who’s the girl on the harp who also sings on Video Killed the Radio Star song at the same concert?
Yes, gorgeous and talented!
Lucinda Belle is who you're looking for.

Trevor horn video killed the radio star
I'm not in love?
It really is!
It was Trevors homage to it. He said so in his book.
David now in his local jaz band , with them pants 👖 on 😅
Better than Bucks Fizz. Take that Cheryl Baker.
They’re looking a bit rough now aren’t they.
Great shame this was not seen by many more before the election…..
David Van Day singing flat as a pancake, Thereza singing beautifully
Oh come on, not all of his notes are flat!
Nothing a foot pump couldn't deal with.
I thought that at the start and felt he warmed up ok
He did hold a couple of long notes singing Heart towards the end...
She had to go.
Was embarrassed for the old dear.
Looked like he was shivering a wardrobe round the floor !
