I think he is tragic. He needs help. You can hear the desperation in his voice. I would feel sorry for him if it wasn’t for the fact that he ripped off Mike Nolan who is worth a hundred weight of DVD in every way and certainly in terms of dignity and singing talent. DVD couldn’t tie Mike Nolan’s shoelaces. Unforgivable.

I have a family member who rubs EVERYONE up like DVD, has a very large ego, has had many different jobs, has tunnel vision - always thinks he's right, tries to dominate everything, has trouble with authority (hence the many jobs), would never take orders from a female, is self centred, tries so hard to be funny and cool but isn't, always comes across in a, bad way. As an adult this family member was diagnosed with ASD & ADHD.
Obviously I'm no specialist etc, I'm just saying DVDs traits, his ways, the way he rubs people up the wrong way - especially those he spends a period of time with, & how he goes through multiple jobs, he's vengeful if he feels he's been wronged & won't let it drop etc etc
He just reminds me of my family member in every way, the lack of self awareness especially. Imo, he's on the spectrum.

I had not even heard of this guy before I saw this clip. His reputation obviously precedes him. At face value he came over as a bit full of himself, but then again that is part of his job in doing the interview. This comment section is full of vile comments regarding him and even Fiona Phillips, there is no need for any of that and those who actually type out their most vile innermost thoughts on a public 'forum' should be ashamed of themselves.

I never liked DVD after the way he treated his other half of Dollar, Therese Bazaar during their so-called engagement back in the 80s. Years later, Therese commented in a TV interview that she felt that DVD was more in love with himself than he 'loved' her. Considering her recent negative comments about DVD in the Daily Star weeks earlier, Therese was actually quite diplomatic towards DVD in that TV interview until now.

Completely agree, he seems very genuine and not selfish and fake like the majority of celebrities we see. They excluded him without good reason. And people shouldn't judge a person based on the tabloids.
He seems like he has potential to do more than what he did 20 years ago, perhaps a tv host/presenter etc and not stupid degrading shows.

It's a bit hard to tell if it's tongue in cheek humour the guy is using or
if he really is off and very insecure. Since I do not know the man personally,
I can't really say except that whenever I've seen him on the telly, he does have
a sense of humour albeit obnoxious. Celebs are just people with problems like
anyone else including bad behavior that happens to be witnessed by a much larger
audience than most people have.

That's not supposed to happen! The new guest is supposed to walk on, while the cameras are focused on the guest who is already there, then he leaves while the cameras are on the other guest, ect. You never usually actually see the guests walk on/off set!

@mistofoles I think it's because he just refused to stop talking. They were trying to wrap his section up and he just kept on talking and trying to keep the focus on him.
When I worked as a driver , we had cars and vans to to our deliveries, so when you came in you asked the boss " is it a car day or a van day - David.
