It was so sad bc Morrissey was genuinely so kind to everyone who jumped on stage, shaking their hand or giving them a hug, but then as usual people push things too far…if you give a pig a pancake or give a mouse a cookie…😂
We were at the show up in the balcony. It was a bummer to end that way. My wife was upset. However it was amazing to finally see Morrissey live. Also his safety is important. Mozz's voice was in top from and full of sardonic wit. I guess we will have to see him again!
Next time people say how celebs are a holes for not hugging and shaking people's hands etc, now you see why. It escalates and people are friggin stupid. He's just a person.
Here to report that this incident hasn’t stopped him from taking hugs onstage. Saw him in Durham NC last night (Nov. 9) and 6-7 people walked up and hugged him. I had never seen him live before so imagine my surprise. Anyway the show was great, the band is excellent, he sang very well and the hugs were not disruptive in any way
The stage jumpers were selfish. There was 1-2 earlier in the show, but at the end it got chaotic. Also those people were in best seats of house, why did they ruin it for everyone?
Sadness. My daughter escorted my 40-something year old ass to appreciate the voice and music she grew up with... seeing as how when my daughter and I are together - WE ARE THE SMITHS!!! Singular we are not. Thanks to some selfish people we Only received "Half a Concert." We were totally bummed- ah maybe we'll catch him in another 10 years 🙄
I was there. It was so disappointing to not get an encore because of this crap. No one should have their personal space violated in this way. I think they wanted to do what they saw in a concert film or whatever. It wasn't ok back then and it's not ok now. So inconsiderate for the fans who were there and to the performers.
@@JubeProductions The fact that there were too many folks getting aggressively in Morrissey's personal space and one of the security got hurt. They made the call to escort the band off stage and end the show.
What you don't understand is what this guy means to people. I fully understand why they are doing it and I will be trying every night of the UK to do the same. Also, that's why it happens at the end because they know that what happened is a possibility and don't want to do it in the middle of the gig and cause this to occur. They are actually being thoughtful to others by waiting until the end.
Same thing happened in Montreal in the late 90's or early 2000's and he was so mad that he said he will never come back. He kept his words, he never came back 🤷🏻♂️ To bad, I was a huge Smiths fan back in those days. On the other side, whitout Johnny, it's way not the same
I saw Morrissey play in the late 90’s. It was so much worse than this 😂. Mostly men were climbing on stage trying to hug and smooch him. He couldn’t get through four seconds of a song. Quite the spectacle 😂. Good show though.
I was there. It definitely seemed planned.. either way, I was so upset and still am! A lot of money and energy went into attending this concert for it to end this way. Upset is actually an understatement!
Sorry to hear. Weirdly, I've been on a Bona Drag kick. Not that I would have gone (logistically it wouldn't have worked), but wouldn't have thought to even approach Moz.
It looks like it is part of his show. Back in the day, Type O Negative would end their sets with the crew breaking down and packing up their equipment while the band was still playing onstage. They would say that they were being rushed off the stage because they played over their time, but it was all part of the act. They'd do the and bit at every show to end their set.
I don’t understand is where is security to stop this from happening the first time? I’ve never seen this many people get up on a stage except that a showing in a bar.
SAME THING happened in Dallas in 1991, during ‘Everyday Is Like Sunday.’ Morrissey finally just dropped the mike & mumbled ‘I have no security…’ & walked off. Don’t know why he ever came back to Dallas. Wouldn’t be surprised if some of them were the exact same (now geriatric) fools…
Saw him at Jones Beach in the early 90's, the same thing happened with concert goers rushing the stage but the only problem with the 90's show is it happend very early in the concert and Morrissey walked off the stage never to return.
@@mozzer35 no. This one for some weird reason was on my feed-probably because I’ve been watching a lot of Cure videos about the most talented Smith. Robert. 😂

Was at the show and this bit of drama at the end was unfortunate, but did make for a unique ending. Bad planning and security, this venue has a problem with this. This venue was too small and he should have played a larger place with better security.
Maybe just let the man perform instead of sending platoons of idiots onto the stage. That's why the concert ended. Not because of security. What a time to be alive.
In 1983, Def Leppard opened for Billy Squier and some of the best tackles I have ever seen in my life were made on people doing that shit during that concert.

people nagging about the security, I thought he regularly says in interviews he is OK with this, and maybe even encourages it? He considers the hugs as a form of love. But too much is too much of course, which is the case here 😉
to just listen to him singing is great, but to not see him is even better. Love the Smiths, Cure, New Order, Joy Division, DM etc..but I don't need to look at them to appreciate, their music.. or hop on stage to make an Ass of myself.
This is why I don't go to Morrissey shows anymore. I've seen Morrissey live since the mid-90s until the last show at Pasadena around 2008 when I caught his blue Prada shirt when he threw it in the crowd. Fair enough. Disrespectful to the artist and their performance. Also problem is there are weirdos who might take that opportunity to harm him.
