We are back in our FAVOURITE seaside town in the UK, BLACKPOOL and this time we are staying at the boutique HOTEL NEON on Lord Street.
We booked the best room in the hotel but was it worth it?
As usual we check out the shower, count the coat hangers and bounce on the bed. Will Hotel Neon live up to its reputation?

Beautiful but not sure about cups on top of the toilet. Imagine the bacteria swarming around.

When Colin does either the bed test or quality of the room - 1st thing I noticed was the hospital corners - were the cover is folded perfectly against the mattress.
It should be one of your first checks.
I have had many a 'homely' night in Blackpool, you always got a friendly landlady/landlord & you felt good.
This takes it to a new level.
The Pink Pound deserves the very best.
We have been putting ££'s & ££'s & more ££'s into Blackpool.
Enjoy the payback on our investment brothers from everywhere.

We'll remember to check for hospital corners in future, iDavo although we think most places have fitted sheets nowadays. The trend in Blackpool seems to be towards higher standards and it's good to have the choice of cheap and cheerful or whether to pay a bit extra for something more boutique 🏨🌈

Once me & my ex knocked on the front door of a guest house I booked.
Before checking in I asked if I could see the room, much to my boyfriends embarrassment.
The owner wore sunglasses, said they had a party the night before & apologised.
It was a mess.
The room, he apologised, said sorry, an Ash tray full of dimps, bed obviously slept in as the covers were pulled back.
The room stank.
Left immediately.
That's why your reviews are very important.
You are doing a real service to us & you need to be thanked.

Lovely hotel but not serving a full English in a big no no for me, whenever I go away anywhere I always love a full breakfast in a morning and like it as part of the experience of staying away in a hotel
We agree, Azza. But if you're not bothered about breakfast being included, Hotel Neon is fantastic! 💗

That did look like a lovely room think the only way it could be improved would be a bath i love baths haha. How much did it cost to stay? 🌞
We can recommend a Blackpool hotel with a bath, Dominic! We paid £190 for 2 nights at Neon 👍
@@thechatterguys which one! Not that I ever go to Blackpool but probably should, used to go as a kid quite often. £190 for 2 nights is very reasonable I think for such a nice room!
Agreed! It's a bit more than average for that area but so worth it. Blackpool B&B has a room with a bath. We haven't stayed there since the current owners took over but all the rooms are newly decorated and they look really nice 🛀 xx
@@thechatterguys well yes £190 is a lot of money but for the room I bet you wouldn't get that most places for as good of a price. I guess it's somewhere to stay occasionally and not as an everytime place (if you go a lot as you guys do that is) and thank you! Will make a note of it 😁🌞
Thanks Dominic. We think the price for Neon is very fair. You would pay as much in a chain hotel for a bog standard room, whereas what you get at Neon is outstanding 🛀.
Very poooosh for Blackpool but i didn't hear the price and do they do breakfast 🍻
Hi John. They don't do breakfast at Neon but they can arrange for guests to have breakfast at De-Lovely which is across the street. We paid £190 for 2 nights at Neon 👛

Fab video as always,I know you're off to Benidorm soon and I always miss your live streams because of work,so here's a few restaurant recommendations for you to try if you haven't already.
La Mejillonera is in the old town and is a fabulous place for dinner in the evening time, wonderful people and food.
Our regular spot for breakfast was Aruba gastro lounge on the sea front they do top notch brekkys with lots of choices.

Hello Jonathan & Cherry. They don't do food at 🏨 Hotel Neon. You can arrange to have breakfast at De-Lovely which is across the street 🥓🥓🍳
