It's not like he couldn't see the signs or hear the announcements that "The white zone is for the immediate loading and unloading of passengers only. No parking." The last time I was at the airport, I didn't hear the announcement also say "But it's OK to leave your car if you're helping your mother take her luggage to the counter." If the announcement now says that, he should just record that and he'll have his ticket dismissed in traffic court. If it doesn't, he'll lose. No unattended vehicles.

Every time I go to LAX, I always take my time and park in the parking lot and pickup or drop off whoever I am taking or picking up, why these people make their life so difficult I can never understand.

Dude, it takes 1 minute or less to write out a ticket. It ain't rocket science.
The LAX Security officers don't ticket the Licenses plates . They Ticket the Cars VIN Number it takes a lot of time lot's of paper work

He was using his 1st amendment right to record In public.

@@tonyvera1902 they must be cracking down on that a little more because I’ve been in that drop off/check in area fairly recently, and have heard people that left their car at the curb paged repeatedly to come back or they’d be towed. I don’t know if those folks got towed, ticketed or neither.
